This video announces a debate between Catholic and Orthodox perspectives on the Eucharist, specifically examining whether the transubstantiation doctrine (the belief that the bread and wine literally become Christ's body and blood) is biblically supported, with both traditions claiming that disbelief in their respective Eucharist teachings results in anathema.

CATHOLICS AND ORTHODOX DEBATE CHALLENGE MAY 27!!!Added:
[music] >> Hey guys, it's Kelly with a Bryan Perspective. How you doing?
Don't miss this coming Wednesday.
This coming Wednesday, May 27th. Mark your calendars. [music] It's going to be good.
I've got Patrick from [music] Bible in Context, Philippians 1:9 Ministries, joining me.
I also got Ryan, Ryan from needgod.net.
[music] And we are going to be doing a Wednesday 2:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time open mic for all you Catholics and all you Orthodox to come and get us.
To debunk us. To refute us. To annihilate. To decimate us. To embarrass us.
To prove us wrong.
On what? Well, this topic this Wednesday is going to be on the Eucharist.
Is the transubstantiation doctrine >> [music] >> biblical as Catholics would claim?
Are you eating the [music] deity of Christ? Are you eating his flesh and drinking his blood?
Is John 6 the proper interpretation?
>> [music] >> And your Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, whatever Orthodox.
They believe something mysterious takes place and something supernatural takes place and you are having some kind of divine encounter and it is changed somehow mysteriously to his flesh and to his blood.
Now, here's the kicker.
You ready?
Both the Roman Catholic Church [music] and your Orthodox Church claim that if you don't believe in what they teach about the Eucharist, guess what?
You are anathema.
Anathema.
In fact, don't miss the last video live stream.
I'll put the link in there. I had two Greek or well, two Eastern Orthodox fathers, aka priests, on my channel recently.
And we debated, respectfully, on this very topic.
>> [music] >> We also talked about the Filioque.
That's right, the Filioque.
Make sure you check that out as well.
But this coming Wednesday, mark it.
Share this video. Let the Catholics know where to come get us. Let the Orthodox know where to come get us.
We will be waiting for you.
Please leave a comment. Please share this video with others. Like it. What do you think will happen?
Do you think those guys will come and get us or not?
