Reaction To Swedish History Be LikeAdded:
So, recently I've been learning about Swedish culture by watching these videos as these be like videos uh talking about different things. This one is Swedish history be like. Uh I've already watched like Swedish conscripts, Swedish uh cities.
Interested to see this one about uh Swedish history.
Let's try and learn something about Swedish history with this.
Formation of Sweden 1050 to 1250.
>> [music] >> The Folkunga era 1250 to 1389.
Okay, it still got some old castles from this time.
Uh some old language >> [music] >> Folkunga. Don't know if you've been near like any castles or anything from that time, 1,000 years ago. The Union era.
Okay, 1389 to 1521. Yeah, if someone got some uh deeper knowledge on the history, you can let me know how these images relate to the time periods and so on.
>> [music] >> The older Vasa era 1521 to 1611.
Yeah, I wonder if these are like famous paintings as well.
If any knowledge of it.
>> [music] >> The rise of the great power 1611 to 1660. That's quite a short time period there. Don't know what's going on with this boat, if it's sinking or what. Maybe that's a famous or momentous moment in Swedish history.
>> [music] >> Looks like an airplane flying.
Okay, the fall of the great power. So, they the eyes was almost the same or the four was almost the same amount of time as their eyes.
Uh Yeah, this guy I don't know if that's happy or not. See some wars going on.
Who are they at war with here?
>> [music] >> Okay, this seems like a more positive time. Age of Liberty 1718 to 1772.
Don't know what these are like they look like some sort of program for some event or show or something like that. You can tell me more about these images.
Don't know a dock somewhere in the painting here. There's [music] some sort of royal seal here.
>> [music] [singing] >> So is that Carl Johan's song as well?
1809 to 1844.
Is that some king?
Uh is that him in his bed maybe?
Okay, some maps or something like that.
>> [music] >> The reform era 1844 to 1866. Look at these flags as well like the Norway, Denmark, Sweden but having other flags on there as well.
It's an interesting one.
What is it? Some sort of first railway something like that.
>> [music] >> Industrialization 1866 to 1905 till America. So is this people emigrating to America something like that. I know people were going from a lot of different countries. You know, there's a lot of people with Swedish heritage in the USA as well.
Got some dynamite.
Sweden being split here. I wonder what the difference is. Maybe a political affiliation or support.
>> [music] >> Democratization.
Okay, cool. When they still got like I guess it makes sense that these like I guess it's more surprising was seen like some some of these type of letters or sayings from so long ago, hundreds of years ago. But these ones like you can definitely see some similarities with modern day Fred made Norge.
Okay, people.
Workers here.
>> [music] >> The 1920s. Yeah, she definitely looks like the fashion from the 1920s, the hat and that sort of thing.
Uh what we got here? I'd love to like be able to understand what these are actually saying, what they're about.
I don't know if they're chopping down a tree. This guy looks like he could be a politician, but I don't know if they're trying like the workers are trying to fight against the wealthy or something like that possibly.
What we got here? A lobster and alcohol, something like that.
Again, it looks like some news.
>> [music] >> For East Finland sack out of our foreign stock camp committee frivolity target category.
The en Svensk tiger, the Swedish tiger.
Nice. So obviously this is during the Second World War.
We've got here the Germans, is it? Uh yeah. That's a pretty cool poster as well.
>> [music] >> Okay, 19 is this when IKEA was founded then, is it? Mobile IKEA I'm good.
Yeah, 50s hair cut. Is that a greaser or something they call it? Real pinch.
Social democracy, so is this when this sort of modern Swedish economic strategy was 1960s, who are these characters?
Some more social democracy stuff for four vecker semester, building a lot of property. Yeah, there was a lot of that I guess like in that sort of post-war era.
Building these high-rise buildings, getting more property fit for people.
I think that's what they need to do in a lot of countries these days, such a shortage of property. Everybody's rent and mortgages being >> [music] >> 1970s.
But a kind of hippie chick guy looks a bit more business.
It's just like what is this? Is this the phone switchboard type thing?
>> [music] >> I love like 80s music, man. No matter what country it's from, I love the sound of it. I've got some finance business type looking guy. Yeah, that's that What's that look I can't remember what it called this.
Look, there was definitely some people in the UK with this like the Culture Club, Adam Ant, all these singers.
Can't remember what the the style was or the subculture.
What are these?
What's your favorite uh decade in Sweden? What was the What was the best?
The most prosperity in your opinion?
Yes to Europe. This is where you joined the EU.
Farrokhzad Shahriar Inayat Is this the TV shows?
>> [music] >> That Bass Hunter or something like that.
Got some Yeah, again like computer guy Pirate Bay. Is Pirate Bay Swedish actually?
I've definitely been on there one or two times.
Gucci. Yeah, man, nice music. Sweden really produced a lot of great music throughout the years. Minecraft.
My son just doesn't stop playing that game.
Is that Greta Thunberg? And just some random guy.
>> [music] >> Benny Andersson got COVID, NATO.
What's going on here? Like a bus on fire. What's that building there? That looks quite nice as well. Quite interesting.
Yeah, different tastes.
Yeah, I guess that's interesting like we see more specifics in the last 100 years every decade.
I guess it kind of shows the pace of change of the evolution of countries how it evolved so quickly now. But I guess you could probably go back hundreds of years ago and break it down in decades if there was more knowledge, but it kind of all blends into one when you see uh the time periods.
But yeah, I guess like you see like things do change quite a lot in the last 100 years every decade. But tell me what you think about this.
Thanks.
