The Lord has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, [music] and the clouds are the dust of his feet." Hello everyone. Welcome to Bread of Hope Daily. Today's message is about the balance of God's mercy, justice, [music] and unlimited power. Many people focus on only one side [music] of God's character. Some see only his love.

[00:00:30]Others see only his judgment. But this verse reveals the fullness [music] of who God is. It begins by saying, "The Lord is slow [music] to anger." What a beautiful truth. God is patient. He does not rush to punish. He gives people [music] opportunities to repent, return, and receive his mercy. Every day that we live is evidence of God's [music] patience. Yet the verse continues, "and great in power." God's patience should never be mistaken [music] for weakness. The same God who shows mercy possesses unlimited power and authority. Nothing can resist [music] his will. Nothing can overthrow his purposes. Then Nahum says, "He will not at all acquit the wicked." God is not only [music] loving, he is also perfectly just. Sin will not go unanswered forever. God's justice is as perfect as his mercy. Finally, the verse declares, "The Lord has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm." Even the most powerful forces of nature are under his control. The storm that frightens us [music] does not frighten God. The clouds are described as "the dust of his feet." This poetic picture reminds us how great [music] and majestic God truly is. My friend, when life feels [music] chaotic and uncertain, remember that God is still in control of the storm. Today, trust both the mercy and the power [music] of God. If you need forgiveness, His grace is available. If you need strength, His power is sufficient. If you are facing a storm, [music] remember that God rules over every circumstance and place your confidence in the Lord who is both patient and mighty.
