Number bonds are pairs of numbers that add together to make a total, such as 1+9=10, 2+8=10, 3+7=10, 4+6=10, 5+5=10, and 10+0=10, demonstrating that addition is commutative (the order of numbers doesn't change the sum).

Space, Dinosaurs & Potions! | Let's Learn with Pip and PosyAdded:
Come on, LET'S LEARN.
ROCKETING THROUGH SPACE.
Our rocket's nearly ready to zoom up to space. Way above the sky. The space guide says we'll see the moon. And oh, planets.
Like the planet we're on right now, Earth.
>> [gasps] >> Wow! How many other planets are up there? Let's find out by rocketing through space.
Wake up your body, turn on your brain.
It's time for a Pip and Posy game.
Preparing for launch.
Three, two, one, lift off!
>> [crying] >> Wow! Look at all the sparkly sparkly stars. Yeah.
Look, [gasps] our first planet, little Mercury. The book says it's the closest planet to the sun. And there's the second planet, cloudy Venus.
Ooh, it's too melty hot. I couldn't live here. Luckily, we live on planet three, Earth.
Earth's the best planet cuz it's the one with plants and creatures. Chirrida, how did you get here? Oh, I can fly in space now. I got magic from a space fairy.
Look, planet four, it's the red one.
Mars.
>> [laughter] >> Want to go for a space walk? Yeah.
Great landing, Pip.
Mars is brilliant.
Look, two moons.
Uh-oh, a volcano. It hasn't erupted in ages.
Let's get back to the rocket just in case.
Wow! Look at number five, Jupiter's huge.
With a massive swirly storm that never ends. Quick! Get to planet six.
Oh, hey Dad. What are you doing here on Saturn? I jetpacked here to slide down its rings, but turns out they're lumps of ice and rock. Fun to hop on, though.
We're flying across space, seeing how many planets there are. Want to come?
>> Nah, Uranus is over there, and it's got stinky clouds.
Stink clouds? Yuck.
>> [laughter] >> Bye.
>> [snorts] >> Planet seven, Uranus. It's chilly and Ooh, it is stinky. Race you to Neptune.
I'm super Frankie, faster than a rocket ship.
So, is this Neptune? It's like a sapphire space gem. Yep, it's pretty, but very windy. It's the eighth and last planet that meets around our sun. Bye.
Pip, [screaming] Neptune's the last planet. We've seen them all.
Eight amazing planets.
Shake your arms and wiggle your feet.
Now it's time for a quick repeat.
We're zooming far through space. What a huge and amazing place.
Mercury is small and gray. Venus feels hot [music] every day. Earth's our home, the planet we love. Mars is red, but two moons above. [music] Jupiter's huge with a stormy spot.
Saturn's rings are ice and rock. Uranus is cold and stinky, too. Neptune's windy and colored blue. We're zooming [music] far through space. What a huge and amazing place.
Our adventure is done. It was so much fun. [music] Thanks for coming, everyone.
Clap up high.
And clap down low.
Spin around, now it's your go.
Today was amazing. You can be space explorers, too.
>> And see what other space facts you can discover.
Go on. You give it a try. Bye-bye.
Come on, let's learn.
Dino discovery.
>> [laughter] >> Posy, look at this brilliant book.
Stompy, CHOMPY DINOS.
>> [laughter] >> SHOULD WE GO AND MEET THEM?
We can't meet dinosaurs, Pip. They lived millions of years ago. I know. But when I read about them, I like to imagine I'm back in dinosaur times. Yeah, I want to do that, too. And we can learn some amazing dino facts while we're there.
Let's go.
Wake up your body, turn on your brain.
It's time for a Pip and Posy game.
Time for our dino adventure.
Oh, a T-Rex.
>> [groaning] [screaming] >> IT SAYS T-REX WAS A CARNIVORE, which means she would eat meat. Oh, [gasps] that's why she's got all those sharp teeth.
You need a really big toothbrush to clean those.
>> [screaming] [laughter] >> The T and T-Rex stands for Tyrannosaurus.
Yikes. Tyrannosaurus. Yikes? No, yikes.
She tried TO BITE ME.
QUICK, PIP, turn the page.
OH, NO, MORE hungry dinosaurs. Don't worry, these are herbivores.
That means they only eat plants. There's a triceratops with three pointy horns. We've got one of those.
One, two, three. And look, a huge Argentinosaurus.
>> [screaming] >> The ground is shaking.
That's because the Argentinosaurus was one of the biggest dinosaurs ever.
Imagine sliding down that neck.
>> [laughter] >> This one's an oviraptor. She's an omnivore. That means she eats plants and meat.
Wait, dinosaurs laid eggs?
>> Yep, because they were reptiles.
Oh, reptiles, like snakes and lizards.
They lay eggs, too. Pip, don't you think this is oviraptor looks a bit LIKE A CHICKEN?
>> [screaming] >> POSY.
IT SAYS dinosaurs are related to birds.
Some even had feathers. No way! Hey, what's that noise?
The eggs are hatching. We're going to meet some baby dinosaurs. Uh-oh.
I don't think she wants us to. Let's get out of here.
And that's the end of our dino adventure. That was amazing.
Shake your arms and wiggle your feet.
Now it's time for a quick repeat. Okay, Pip, let's play guess the dinosaur.
>> Yeah. I've got a huge neck and a long, swishy tail.
A great big Argentinosaurus.
That's right. Your turn.
Hmm. I like eating plants and poking other dinos with my three spiky horns.
I think you're a triceratops.
Yep, your go. I'm roaring and snappy, and I want some Pip FOR MY DINNER. NO, NO, NO, NO. YOU'RE A terrible T-Rex.
YEAH.
>> [groaning] >> CLAP UP HIGH.
AND CLAP down low.
Spin around, now it's your go.
We loved imagining we were back in dino times.
>> We met so many different types of dinosaur. Why don't you pretend you've traveled back in time millions of years and see which dinosaurs you meet. You could draw them or pretend to be them.
Oh, [screaming] no, the T-Rex is back. But Pip, I only want to nibble. Bye. [screaming] Come on, let's learn.
Number bond patience.
Hi, we've been learning about number bonds.
>> Yeah, we're making big numbers by adding together smaller numbers.
>> Like Mighty Feet and Posey's two feet make four stumpy feet. So, two and two are a number bond to four. Come on, we're going to make witchy number bond potions.
>> [laughter] >> Wake up your body, turn on your brain.
It's time [music] for Fibbedy Posey games.
I love this game. Look, there are 10 spaces in our bottle. So, we need to think of two numbers that add together to make 10. Yeah, I'll start with one.
Burp cloud.
One space is full. So, I'll add nine lumps of slug slime.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Look, our bottle's full. One and nine make 10. That's our first number bond to 10.
So, do nine and one make 10 as well?
Yeah. Wow. So, 1 + 9 and 9 + 1 are both number bonds to 10. Oh, what do you think our potion does?
One and nine or nine and one, this potion makes you wiggle your bum.
>> [laughter] >> Let's make another one.
I'm going to add two spoons of squinting stew.
One two Yucky. Eight spaces are left for cave monster toenails.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 toenails Two and eight or eight and two, this potion turns your hands into shoes.
>> [laughter] >> Three spider webs 1 2 3 Thank you, spider.
Seven spaces left for seven hairs from a grumpy troll It's full. Three and seven or seven and three, this potion turns you into a tree.
>> [laughter] >> Four slices of swamp cake Six dragon sneezes Four and [music] six or six and four, this potion makes A LION ROAR.
>> [screaming and groaning] [laughter] >> FIVE BOILED mushrooms and five spiky thorns Five and five This potion makes your trousers come alive.
My go.
I'll do 10 storm bird feathers.
And zero spaces left, so zero potatoes.
Zero and 10 or 10 and zero turns you into a superhero.
I think we found all the number bonds to 10.
>> [screaming] >> YAY.
Shake your arms and wiggle your feet.
Now it's time for a quick repeat.
Nine and one makes you wiggle your bum.
Eight and two turn your hands into shoes. Seven and three turns you into a tree. Six and four makes A LION ROAR.
FIVE AND FIVE MAKES YOUR TROUSERS ALIVE.
10 and zero makes you a superhero.
Clap up high [music] and clap down low.
Spin around, now it's your go.
We loved making up number bond potions.
Maybe you can learn our song and sing along with us next time. Or make up your own number bond rhymes. Go on, you give it a try. See you soon. Bye-bye.
