My Shocking Sandisk Stock Prediction for 2026

[00:00:00]SanDisk Corporation stock is absolutely soaring in 2026 and I rated this stock as a buy on March 31st when it was around $550 a share. And since that moment, the stock has soared to $980 per share. So, in less than 1 month, the stock has gone from close to 600 to close to 1,000. That's a huge price increase. Investors are asking me, do I think there's more upside or where do I think SanDisk stock price will end 2026? And I'll answer that question in this video. [00:01:06]Now, specifically, the information I need for this video is the earnings per share estimate from Wall Street, the analysts that are following the company, and what do they think the company will deliver in earnings per share for fiscal year, or I should say for calendar year 2027, which is a bit of a challenge for SanDisk Corporation because they have a fiscal year that's different from the calendar year. So, the way I approach that situation is I take a midpoint between the two fiscal years. So, you can see here, they have a fiscal year which ends in June of 2026 and the analysts are forecasting $45 in earnings per share for that fiscal year.

[00:01:47]>> [snorts] >> And then for the fiscal year that will end in June of 2027, they're forecasting $114 in earnings per share. So, I'm going to take a rough midpoint of these two estimates and take $80 as the earnings per share estimate for calendar year 2027 for SanDisk Corporation. Now, another figure I need for SanDisk Corporation is the company's forward price to earnings ratio and as of this recording, you can see from this chart that I'm getting from fiscal.ai that the company's trading at a forward price to earnings of 9 and 1/2. So, you can see my buy rating here for SanDisk Corporation, which I updated on March 31st, 2026. I ranked the business as a buy and the stock price has soared since then. So, congratulations to all of you that own SanDisk Corporation stock. But now that we have the estimates and assumptions, we can jump into my valuation, my scenario analysis for the company for calendar year 2026. Where do I think the price will be? So, if their earnings per share remains on track to hit the targets and their forward PE multiple remains where it is, then the market price could end this year at $764.

[00:02:59]That would be a big downside from where it is today.

[00:03:02]If the forward PE multiple were to increase to 11 and the earnings per share estimates remain the same, the market price could rise to $880.

[00:03:12]If the forward PE ratio rises to 13, the stock price could increase to $1,040 per share.

[00:03:19]But it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

[00:03:22]There could be a scenario where the forward PE multiple decreases and goes back down to seven and that would result in the market price going back down to $560 per share, where it was trading at not long ago. The stock price has soared by so much in such a short amount of time.

[00:03:39]I actually think that the 2026 price will end this year somewhere between $850 and $1,000.

[00:03:47]So, somewhere at that point and at the midpoint, that would be about $925, which would be lower than where the current market price is. So, I don't see very much upside from this point for SanDisk Corporation stock. I was bullish on the company throughout the year. In March 31st, I updated that buy rating and I felt confident about the business at that point, but the price has increased by so much that I think a lot of the positive prospects are already accounted for in this valuation.

[00:04:20]Remember, they're benefiting from the soaring prices for memory and storage because of data center demand and I don't think that's going to end anytime soon. The soaring prices for memory and storage are likely to remain at least for the rest of this year, probably going into 2027 and maybe 2028 is when we'll see some decreases in memory and storage prices as more supply comes online. But for now, I think those elevated prices will remain and that's partly why you're seeing those big increases in earnings per share estimated for SanDisk and others in the industry. But at these prices, it doesn't look like a very attractive upside. And so today, in addition to providing you with the price target for SanDisk, I'm also updating my rating.

[00:05:08]I'm downgrading the stock to a hold, down from a buy and I updated that on April 22nd, 2026. And you can see my price estimate between 850 and 1,000 a share.
