Matthew Perry's Assistant Sentenced to 41 Months for Ketamine Death | Friends Star TragedyAdded:
He was the last person to see him alive, and the one who kept injecting him.
Today, Matthew Perry's assistant finally gets justice. Kenneth E. Iwamasa, Matthew Perry's live-in personal assistant, has been sentenced to 41 months in federal prison for injecting the Friends star with ketamine that killed him. Iwamasa pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death. In the weeks before Perry's death, he gave the actor more than 25 ketamine shots, including six to eight times a day, and even three doses on the day Perry died. On October 23rd, 2023, Iwamasa administered a large dose, left to run errands, and returned to find Perry face down in his jacuzzi. The medical examiner ruled the cause of death as acute ketamine effects, with drowning as a contributing factor.
Iwamasa also faces two years of supervised release and a $10,000 fine.
He's the fifth and final defendant sentenced in Perry's death. This tragic shows how addiction can destroy even the biggest stars. Follow Awesome TV for more breaking Hollywood news, deep dives, and stories you won't hear anywhere else.
