Game developers attempting to combat bot farms by reducing experience points in specific game modes (like CS2's deathmatch XP nerf from 800 to 300-375 points) are fundamentally ineffective because automated bots operate continuously without human constraints, simply migrating to other game modes to continue farming, making technical anti-cheat solutions the only viable approach.

Why the CS2 XP Nerf Won't Stop Bot Farms.Added:
What's up everyone? I'm Sendo and over the last few days, there's been a lot of talk about a recent change V made. They heavily nerfed the total XP you can earn per match in deathmatch mode. On paper, this is a heavy blow to both farms, making it less profitable to run these operations. But the reality is completely different. This measure is nothing more than a tiny band-aid on a system that is entirely on the verge of collapse. Because in any casual game mode, these aimboting bots are completely ruining the experience for everyone else. Today, we're going to talk about this situation in detail because this measure will ultimately prove to be completely ineffective.
Let's get into it. Tired of your old Counter Strike skins? Whether you want to trade them or sell them? Skin Swap is the place for you. The key to Skin Swap is a speed. In just a few clicks, you can completely refresh your inventory or cash it out using multiple payment methods. And it gets better. When you make your first trade, you can get a skin worth up to $50 absolutely free.
You can even buy skins directly from China at the absolute best prices on the market. Use my promo code sendo to activate all your bonuses. Link is in the description. We are getting closer and closer to the new Armory Pass. And one of the biggest signs of this is when the CS2 team starts cleaning up bot accounts, just like what happened a few weeks ago with over 100,000 banned accounts. Right now, they've made a pretty controversial change. They completely nerfed the XP in deathmatch mode. Previously, if you got a lot of kills, you could earn around 800 XP thanks to the bonus points. But right now, the maximum XP you can earn is between 300 and 375 points. So, honestly, anyone actually playing this game mode is wasting a ton of time trying to farm passes or level up. Once you reach around 400 score in the match, it doesn't matter what you do. you won't earn any more points, so you might as well just go completely AFK. In itself, this seems like a totally positive idea to annoy bot farms. I mean, if you make it unprofitable to farm in this game mode, in theory, the bots will stop playing the game. Well, I guess that's what some dev at thought because the reality is totally different. The exact same day of the patch, I jumped into a DM to record some B-roll footage, and I literally loaded into a lobby where I was alone. Instantly, the match filled up with bots. Not a single human player, just bot farms. Right now, if I queue up again, it's the exact same story in Tokyo. Lobbies full of aimboting bots farming. Perhaps Valve hasn't quite understood that these bots are completely automated. They don't care if it takes 24 hours to complete a pass or a day and a half. It's annoying because it takes longer, but they don't have to do absolutely anything. And that is the exact reason why these changes are completely useless. Deathmatch is a game mode meant for warming up. On the other hand, many players also legitimately farm their service medals, weekly drops, or passes by actually playing the game.
Right now, with these changes, the only thing they've achieved is punishing normal players. In fact, this change isn't even working that well. Aside from still finding the exact same boat farms in Deathmatch, bot owners are already starting to migrate their accounts to take over casual servers and other game modes to keep farming without restrictions. I don't know what Valve expected with this change, but the solution definitely isn't just nerfing XP until no game mode gives you points.
The situation feels a bit surreal. I think nerfing a game mode's XP because it's plagued with bots is pretty useless because bots are still bots. They don't care about taking more time. Truly, the only effective way to end this plague is with something called an antiche. A system that detects something as extremely rudimentary as a bot scanning the screen to aimbot players. I mean it very seriously. What sense does it make that an antiche can't detect these movements and realize it's a bot? It's laughable that the solution is nerfing experience points instead of detecting something so basic. It's great that every few months they do manual ban waves, but once again it's useless because the very next day they have new accounts ready. The only real way to wipe out the bot plague is by banning them mid-match, not months later after they've spent a ton of money on passes, which obviously heavily benefits Valve.
Honestly, the change doesn't even affect me because I usually only play competitive or premier. But it is extremely frustrating to always have to resort to community servers to play deathmatch because both servers are infested with bots or not even being able to complete a weekly mission because sometimes they ask you to get 150 kills with a P90, but you join a server and those same bots prevent you from getting a single kill by aimboting you from across the map. This time, I think Valve made a huge mistake with this change. The only thing it causes is bots moving to other game modes to keep annoying real players who earn their passes legitimately and grind for their service medal by putting in the hours, not with an automated program. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the video. Maybe I was a bit harsh today, but I think when both messes up, it needs to be said. As always, you'll find any game news right here on the channel, so don't forget to subscribe. I'm Sendo signing off for now. See you.
