Wind Turbine, New Flags Plus Water Haul all in One Day May 28 2026

[00:00:00]Made it to the kingdom and it looks like we are going to be putting up the green box for the wind generators here and then we will test them out. Hopefully we get some wind to test it. My dad also taped this one up that way we are just testing the main wind generator up on the top there and if we have to we can always take down the second one and use it for parts. But now my dad is just figuring out how to set this up and then we will do the flags after.

[00:00:27]In the shop and my dad has the little green box set up. Now we are just hooking up all the wires. We won't know if it actually works until we get some wind and of course the one day that we set this up there is no wind.

[00:00:40]Just getting the wind generator box set up. I'm not sure if you can hear it but guess who flew over the edge of the kingdom. He is so low you can't even see him over the tree line but it looks like Dick is back flying around.

[00:00:53]10:30 and we were able to get the green box set up. This is my dad's blueprint that way he knew where the wires go. We have everything set up. When I'm done in the kingdom I will head home and do a quick search on the box here. It did not come with instructions so we're not exactly sure how this works. If you guys know anything about the box let us know in the comments.

[00:01:15]My dad marked on his little sheet here showing the batteries. We are going to keep an eye on it and see if the wind generator actually works and charges them. This is what we're sitting at right now for the batteries.

[00:01:27]Yesterday we had a bunch of wind and of course the batteries weren't charging and today there is no wind so we won't actually know if this works yet.

[00:01:35]11:00 a.m. and we are over at the tanks.

[00:01:37]We will be switching out these five flags in the front. As you can see they've been through a lot. That middle one there isn't looking too good so we'll take them down and replace them with the ones I am holding in my hand.

[00:01:51]Got all five flags changed out. It looks a lot better now. Let's see how long these ones last. Now we are going to head over to the big boat and there's a few flags we have to put up over there as well.

[00:02:11]Over at the big boat and my dad is up on top taking down the flags. I don't want to record it because pretty high.

[00:02:19]>> Safety reasons, we're not going to show him up on top of the boat, but we will switch out the flags that are here. I have a few of them in my hand.

[00:02:28]Didn't take us long. We were able to get the flags changed out. Next time we will be using Thor and we'll back it up to it and then climb in the box to do the flags. That way it's a lot safer, but we were able to get it done. Thank you so much John S again for all the flags.

[00:02:43]Made it to the kingdom. It looks like my dad has all the hoses out and I will hook up to the fancy trailer and then I will haul the hoses and the pump down.

[00:02:50]And now we are going to get Thor out and back it around over to where the other tank is and we're going to load up the one silver tank onto the black tandem trailer that way we can get more water.

[00:03:02]All we are doing today is filling the two black tanks that are beside the house just in case we get a thunderstorm and there's some lightning. We want to be prepared, you never know. [snorts] While my dad brings Thor around, I just checked on the wind generator.

[00:03:28]And it did show 7.9 right here.

[00:03:33]So, maybe it is a Oh, maybe it is charging the batteries.

[00:03:44]Got Thor hooked up to the trailer, no problem. We are going to leave everything hooked up. I'm sure we'll be hauling more water. Now, let's head down to our little watering hole and fill everything up.

[00:03:54]Made it down to our little watering hole, no problem. This is where we got all the water last year during the fire season. We ended up breaking into the pond behind fill all this up. You can even see where my dad had the mini.

[00:04:09]He has to back all the way in because there's nowhere for him to turn around here.

[00:04:32]Got everything set up. It should take maybe 15 minutes or so to fill both of the tanks and then we'll pump it into the two black tanks up at the house.

[00:04:43]I'm standing on a rock here that's surrounded by water and right here I think those are frog eggs.

[00:04:53]I think that's what those are. Correct me if I'm wrong.

[00:05:11]2:30 and we just got the first load pumped off. Now we will make our way back down to the pond and get some more.

[00:05:38]Back down at the little pond, we will get one more load on the Thor and the trailer and then the tank should be good for now.

[00:05:47]Of course he gets hooked as soon as I'm recording, but we'll get one more load and then put it into the black tanks and then park everything. We will leave everything hooked up as well. We do have to do a quick service, put some air in the tires, check Thor over and make sure we are ready for fire season.

[00:06:03]3:00 p.m. We just finished the last load. Now my dad will head back into the kingdom and pump it off. 1 year ago today, we were down here with the mini opening up the pond here and building our little walkway to get the mini out there to open everything up. While that fire was going down the highway and making its way into Whoville and then at 10:00 that night, we ended up leaving Whoville and having to drive through the fire.

[00:06:27]Big difference 1 year can do.

[00:06:30]Almost 3:30 and we made it back into the kingdom and we just started pumping off the water. We have to let the tank settle and then go into this tank here and then even itself out before we pump any more water in. So, I'm officially done in the kingdom. My dad will finish up here and then park Thor over by the shop for a service. Let's head back into Whoville and put the quad away. Okay, 4:00 in the kingdom and the clouds are rolling in. Yes, you don't have to go to to How would you say environmental school or weather's new network school to figure it out. Who Too hot, too fast means thunderstorms. Yes, it's high humidity. We're just sweating cuz we're not used to it. So, the tank's got some water in it. We've got room in both tanks cuz we connected them for up and down or we can still acquire more from the roof after a thunderstorms. And this worked out pretty good. We just grabbed the tank with the legs on, tossed it on there. We should be using the wagon and stuff, but we can't back up. Just a minor detail. And Thor pulling uh 600 gallons in the back there worked out good. Now the water truck would be 800 gallons extra. So, that's okay. So, it worked out pretty good. And we're not taking the plow and the wing off cuz it's too much of a pain in the ass cuz we only have 4 months of non-snow here in the kingdom. All right, let's continue the quest.

[00:07:45]Okay, it's ain't all that hot out there.

[00:07:46]The shop is nice and cool. I don't know why it's all damp in here, but that's okay. So, this morning we had perfect conditions to set up the wind generator green control box. The brown control box would not let them spin. The more they spin to generate power, the more the brake would come on. So, then 6 months, I guess, of use, yeah, be 6 months or 8 months of use, they never charged up these batteries, both of them, never. We They were just actually draining the battery. So, what's the point of send selling a wind generator, a Vevor wind turbine, and they said it works, but it doesn't. So, a kingdom follower figured out you get the green box with the dynamic breaker little long thing or whatever that controls the spinning, okay? And the staff recorded this thing actually getting some volts in such little wind.

[00:08:35]Yeah. So, we're kind of impressed.

[00:08:36]That's all it took. And it was Ron G that gifted us the green box and the green coil, yes. But we needed to mount it away from the wall. Plus, we've grounded everything out there properly. So, we needed a panel like that.

[00:08:51]So, we went to trailer one and got the control panels.

[00:08:55]The one of the control panel for when the trade some of the We bought three trailers with heating units in them. With the heating units have now become the power sources. Yes.

[00:09:06]They'll run as as a power unit and for create heat out the back cuz that's their heating coil and work great, but they would not work in the semi-truck or semi-trailer. I bought three of them, paid over 10,000, I think it was, per unit, and they came up here and they didn't work cuz the guy sent up the junk. Yeah, the ones he couldn't sell. Yeah, so then I got the junk.

[00:09:31]So, you take out all the control panel here, take this box off, get rid of all this crap.

[00:09:37]Okay, and computer boards and the motor will run and start and drive. Yeah, works good. But now we got a mess cuz we were in here plus we've been working outside for the last couple of days. So let's enjoy the coolness of the shop and clean up this mess. Yeah, what a mess.
