This experiment is a brilliant testament to the power of digital subversion, proving that a simple sandbox can rival professional software through community ingenuity. It effectively blurs the line between casual entertainment and technical simulation.

I Tried Using Minecraft as a Flight Simulator
Added:Oh god. Well, as you guys already know, your boy has been called a PTFS glazer lately.
So, I contacted my boy Steve and he's invited me over to Minecraft. And today, we're going to be trying Minecraft as a flight simulator. So, he's got some cool things for us. Oh god. Uh uh my bad, Phil. What's good, Phil? Uh, I'm sorry, man. I'm really uh sorry about that. Um, yeah. What's good, Phil? Welcome, y'all. Hand over your keys and I'll store your car for you. Uh, you're sure you're not going to take my car, Phil, cuz I just crashed into that pole. Uh, I don't really trust your face, but sure, you can have my keys. There we go. We got our parking ticket. uh, parking receipt. And, uh, yeah, just uh, take care of my car, man. I hope my car is fine. Oh, god. What is good, Steve? How you doing today, man? Sup, y'all. Welcome to Minecraft. Please stop glazing PTFS.. Oh my god, bro. Please stop glazing PTFS and walk through the hallway next to me and you'll find Jeff. He's got some goodies for you. Have fun. Okay, first things first. What is good, Steve? You don't have my drip, by the way. Look at the chains.
Look at the ice. You don't got this, my boy. You don't got this. And second, don't call me a PTFS Glazer. How do you know that? My god. God. Well, what is good, guys? I hope I wasn't interrupting.
Yeah, you you you do you. You do you over there. Oh god. Let me just open that.
You too, Jeff. Ah, what is good, Jeff? You good, man? Don't worry. Just doing my daily yoga.
Does this look like yoga to you, Jeff? Yeah, he he's having a he's having a great time. Anyways, I suppose you stopped being a PTFS glazer and decided to try something new. So, go open up that chest behind me. I got you something better than PTFS. I hope you do have something better than PTFS cuz I've already seen weird things when I got here. Okay, what does this sign say? Like and subscribe. Hey, there we go. All right, let's open up the chest. And we got four aircrafts in here.
Okay, we have a Cessna Skyhawk. We have a black red Comanche, a red Eclipse, and a Boeing 777-300 ER.
That's really interesting. And we got a wrench and a gray seat. Okay, that's cool. So, let's begin with the uh Cessna really quick. And then we're going to head over to the next [music] one. So, let's grab the seat. There we go. All right, let's place the Cessna. Wow, that is big. Okay, so I believe we have to All right, there we go. Let's place those seats in here. And let's see if we have to add anything. Yeah, we have to add the altitude indicator.
And I believe that's everything we need. And the air speed. Yep, there we go. And there we go. Oh my god, we're already going. I believe that the planes don't have any sort of taxiing by the looks of it. I'm not sure if they do. Let me pull out the throttle. All right, there we go. Okay, that is really, really cool. There we go. We even have a backtrack on the runway, which is really, really cool. But we're not going to be using that right now. Let's just take off. Oh, and we're drifting. Okay, that's interesting. We are taking off. I really like how the plane feels, how the sound effects work. It's really, really cool. All right, let's start pulling up. There we go.
I really like these physics. They feel so responsive. Let's try and do some maneuvers and see if we can do them. Let's try to do a barrel roll. Okay, let's get some altitude really quick. All right, three, two, one, go. All right, there we go. Oh god.
Oh no. Oh. Oh. Oh no. Wait. Oh god. Oh, the plane is stalling. Ah, shoot.
Uh, just crashed. All right, let's try that again. Our aircraft is starting to smoke. That is not good sign. So, let's just come right back into the airport and try to uh butter this plane.
Let's bring the throttle down a bit. All right. Oh god. All right. Let's try to bring it on top of the runway. There we go. Cut the throttle. Ooh, that was really hard. Oh god. All right, we got brakes. Let's try to use the brakes since we have no reverse thrust or spoilers on this.
And there we go. That was not a safe landing at all, but that's really really cool. All right, let's head over to the next plane. All right, we are now in front of the black red command. It's a dual engine aircraft right now, so that is really cool. Let's go and install the seats inside of the aircraft. This fits four people. And let's sit down and see how the aircraft performs. So, yeah, let's just do a classic PTFS takeoff. There we go. We don't have any gear controls, but yeah, this plane has better maneuvers than the Cessna in my opinion. Where is the airport? The airport is to our left. So, let's start turning over to the left. Can we do anything with these?
Oh, okay. That's really cool. We can actually interact with the cockpit. Wait, let's bring the throttle down a bit so we don't get lost. That is really cool. What else can we play with?
Oh, what was that? Uh, what was that? Okay, let's come right in for a landing once again.
There we go. We are getting closer and closer to the runway. VA up a bit. We're currently stalling, but the soul is not as bad as I thought. But there we go. Oh.
Uh, I forgot about the gears. All right, now we have the black and red eclipse. I really like how the aircraft look. They're really really well modeled and polished. So like it's really really cool. We can actually like crouch in this one unlike the other ones that was like really hard to get into. But well, there we go. We got the seat. And now let's start taxiing. All right, we are now done backtracking. This aircraft feels way smoother than the Cessna and the black and red Kamage. Let's go full throttle. [music] Start taking off. I really, really like the sounds. There we go. This aircraft goes way faster than the Cessna and the Kimage, which is really, really cool. I want to try doing a barrel roll. Let's see if we can actually do it. Oh my god, we actually got it. Oh, I actually pulled it off. Oh shoot. Oh god, we're losing. Wait.
Okay, that is cool. Let's go again with the gears. There we go. Bring the gears [music] down.
Let's head straight back over to the airport. Let's cross our fingers and actually try to butter this one. We are on final. This has been the most stable approach so far. Let's see.
There we go. Let's use the brakes. Let's control it and bring it over to the center line. There we go. All right, let's go and try out the trip 7 cuz I cannot wait to use that one.
Wow. Yeah, this thing is huge. All right, let's head right up here. Let me just fly over.
There we go. Oh my god, the sounds are insane. Oh lord.
Uh, the plane is currently uh Steve, the plane is Oh god. Oh, I can change views now. Okay, that's cool. Oh god, Steve, I think the plane swing is clipping with the airport. Oh god.
Oh no. I'm sorry, Steve. All right, let's just take off. We have views [music] on the plane, which is really, really cool. All right, let's just take off from the cockpit view. All right, we actually have V1. Okay, [music] there we go. Let's pull up and take off. There we go.
That is really, really cool. Let's bring the gears up also. I hope that we have some gear physics or something similar. This is a really, really cool mod. Oh god. Yeah, this is really fast. Okay, let's bring the gears down. We do have gear animations. Oh my god, that's is that is so cool.
We must have the airport in sight from a few meters away from here. We got two little follow. Oh no, we're losing the plane. No, we're just there, man. Oh god. Yeah, there we go.
Absolute butter. So yeah, if you guys want to see more of me using Minecraft as a flight simulator, make sure to uh like, subscribe, check out my other videos, and peace.
