[00:00:11]So it was a very interesting query for me. It is the first time. So after doing some research, I understood that in India Arms Act governs the gun license. So if you want to get an individual gun license, there is not any specific income limit as such so that you can you are eligible to get a gun license. So what basically matters is why you need a personal gun. Whether there is threat to your personal life or you are doing something in which you are traveling alone at night. Are you carrying something very valuable very frequently?

[00:00:39]Or there might be another reason like are you into agriculture or in your area in your farmland any animals will come and attack you? So what is the exact reason? So are you politically exposed?

So based on all these factors, the district magistrate the basically your DC office and your commissionerate office will evaluate your application and only once they find that you are eligible to get a personal gun license, you can go and apply for a gun license. One more thing you need to note that if you are less than 21 years of age, you cannot legally have a gun in India. Apart from that, you also have to go undergo a training in order to get a gun license. So only once you satisfy all these conditions you will be able to get a gun license in India. Income is just one criteria. If you want to take me an example, then gold dealers or maybe builders, developers where like petrol pump owners where huge amount of cash is involved and if you are into politics, so these kind of people usually get gun license in India.
