The Dot ability in College Football 26 provides accuracy boosts when throwing to open receivers with feet set and a clean pocket, with Bronze through Gold tiers offering incremental improvements (0.23-0.26 seconds) while Platinum dramatically eliminates the yellow and red zones entirely; however, its restrictive activation requirements (open receiver, feet set, clean pocket) limit its practical effectiveness despite its impressive tier jump, earning it a B tier rating.

Building the Perfect Quarterback (Dot!)Ajouté :
"He could throw the ball through a car wash and it wouldn't get wet." Bill Parcells.
What's going on college football Digens?
We are back with another one today and we are in the mini series of building the perfect quarterback. So, the last video was the on-time ability and now we're doing the dot ability. This dot ability is inspired by Civil GG as this is one of his abilities on his top five list. If you did not watch the on-time ability video, please reference that so you can see exactly how we're breaking this down. But, as a quick summary, I'm throwing the ball and I'm measuring the distance from the outside of the meter to the yellow into the red so you can see how much time you have to throw the ball accurately.
Now, the dot ability states slight to ultimate accuracy boost when throwing to open receivers with feet set and a clean pocket. So, there are a couple things in this description that matter. One, it's got to be an open receiver. Two, you have to have your feet set. So, you guys that are running around with Lenora Sellers or generally just rolling out to the side and throwing the ball, don't get this ability. Three, you have to have a clean pocket which means two things. One, you can't have somebody right in your face. And the second thing is you have to stay in the tackle box or it won't work either. Also, there's something that this doesn't tell you.
This ability will not work if you overthrow the ball. Whenever you throw it in the red or the yellow, this ability will not activate. Okay, so into the meat and potatoes of all this.
Remember from our on-time ability video, a 99 accuracy quarterback will have about 0.23 seconds of a blue window or roughly 140 pixels.
>> [music] >> Now, remember, the longer the pass, the smaller the window. This is why I'm using a repeatable curl route. The 80 accuracy quarterback with no ability has about 134 pixels.
And today we're using the 80 medium throw accuracy to calculate the difference with no ability through the Heisman level. The dot ability uses the deep throw accuracy and what I did was increase the accuracy to get the ability and then decrease it back so that we would have 80s across the board not to mess with anything. And also, remember we are on the Heisman level and I'm using my custom sliders with user quarterback accuracy at 33. Now, into the test results. Similar to the on time ability, bronze moved it up ever so slightly to 139 pixels or about 0.23 seconds equating the same as a 99 accuracy. The silver ability was up to about 149 pixels or about a quarter of a second and the gold ability was at 156.7 or 0.26 seconds. All pretty slow and linear, but then platinum happened. Now, remember the meter is at right about 199 pixels from my measurements. And the gold was at 156.7 to yellow. Then platinum came in and deleted the yellow and the red bars completely.
Wow.
That might be the largest one tier jump on any ability I have seen so far. So, this is S tier, right? Wrong. In practice, going [music] against ghosts, the ability is great. But the problem lies with the description. Remember that part where it said throwing to an open receiver? Well, that makes it very difficult. As you see, this guy was not open. Neither was this guy. This guy wasn't open. This guy wasn't open. And the ability doesn't go off on any of these passes. Now, this guy was open and so was this guy. And you can see the difference in those. So, due to the restrictions of the description, I'm going to have to give the dot ability B tier at best. And it was hovering towards C tier. Once again, you can't be outside of the pocket. You have to have your feet set. It's got to be a wide open receiver. And ultimately, if those things are happening, you should hit the pass regardless of this ability or not.
All right. Well, thank you for joining me in this mini series of the perfect quarterback. And as we go through different quarterback abilities in College Football 26. Once again, join the Discord as we continue the discussion after the video ends over at the CFB Lab. I really do appreciate every single one of you, your comments, likes, subscriptions.
Let me know what you think about the on-time versus the dot ability. Which one are you taking onto the field? And with that said, ODB out.
