[00:00:29]So this morning we are with Sack County Jeeper Jeepers again. Two weekends in a row. Now we are heading to Strawberry which is near Sierra Tahoe Ski Resort.

[00:00:43]We're going to run Strawberry Pass moderate trail.

[00:00:48]Be fun. There's like 20 21 or 22 Jeeps in this group. Big group. a lot of people, but it's a modern trail, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Um, with anybody getting stuck or breaking down or anything like that, it's, you know, not that kind of road, so we'll be good. More to go.

[00:02:31]We're still making our way to the trail head. So, obviously a lot of downed trees through here where the fire went through a few years ago.

[00:02:41]This trail was probably, not that it's not amazing, but it was probably really awesome when this was just filled with foliage.

[00:02:51]Not seeing any sprouts of any young furs anywhere. So, it's hopefully they start seeding this soon.

[00:03:26]The drive-in was kind of crazy with all the dead trees from the fires.

[00:03:31]>> Yeah, I was trying to think of how this fire started. I think this was a light one, but yeah, it's burnt all the way back through here, too. So, it was nice to get through some trees, but we're going to make a lefthand turn up here to start getting past.

[00:07:32]>> Uh, we have one in the back of the group that dropped the drive line. Yes, we did. Yeah, it's surprising. It's kind of a tame trail. So, uh, it makes it for an eventful trip for sure.

[00:08:45]So, this was the first time for us running Strawberry Pass. It's a moderately rated trail and we were a little surprised at the conditions. It was rutdded out and really decent sized boulders and it was >> and there was a bunch of down trees which you have to be really careful. We run deletes and you hit you know you run over a piece of wood the wrong way it's going to slash your or poke your uh sidewall and then you're you know now you got a flat on the trail and no no spare. So there was a lot of that. We had to be really careful with that.

[00:14:01]All right. We got a couple of Jeeps that are on like stock wheels and we're not guessing that they can get through this very well. So, I'm going to be ready to assist them.

[00:20:08]It was at this point that half the group figured that the conditions were getting a lot worse up ahead. So, they decided to turn around and make their way back down the mountain.

[00:20:27]>> We got up here. Uh we're at near the top of Strawberry Pass and uh it's pretty well riddled with snow.

[00:20:38]Um we had a couple stock Jeeps. uh they did not do well. Uh we got them through as far as we could, but there's some other built Jeeps that are up here um that are getting stuck. So, we kind of made the decision to turn around, but then a bunch of us said, "Well, if you're on 37s, we're going to go." So, anybody that's 37s or bigger is going, and we're fine. Um anybody else has has turned around and gone back. So, um, we're, uh, we're making our way through it here.

[00:21:50]So, we got to spend some quality time here uh helping this guy get out. And it he wasn't alone. The next Jeep that came through, they got stuck also. It was kind of a lot of big ruts like right there. and uh you just kind of fell into it and it was kind of gnarly to get out of it. You just weren't getting anywhere.

[00:28:20]>> I mean, he was working hard and trying to get up that burm, but it just didn't happen.

[00:28:27]>> So, it seems like we've made it as far as we can make it. uh teal, green, blue 392 in front of us is uh he's trying to get up this ledge ridge, but he just he can't get around it. It's even trying to pave his way. He can't get around it at all. So, we're kind of stuck here. Uh we'll probably have to back all the way out of it, which will be interesting as well.

[00:30:29]Well, we didn't see any strawberries. We did make it over the pass. It was the agony of defeat for us. And now we're stuck driving back down the mountain.

[00:31:02]So, we made it back out. We're heading back down the hill. We uh just couldn't get any further. The snow was too deep.

[00:31:19]And uh that's just the way it goes. We went as far as we could. It was still a fun day.

[00:36:59]Was little disappointing we didn't get all the way to the top of the hill. We were 85 ft from the top of the ridge uh in terms of elevation. So, you know, that could always be, you know, half a mile or something.
