[00:00:00]A final ruling which lowers costs, which is a good thing. Okay, it cracks down on fraud, which is a really really really good thing, and expands state control.

[00:00:10]Well, we'll figure out what that means here in a minute. Okay, so CMS issued a sweeping rule strengthening oversight of the ACA exchanges for 2027.

[00:00:21]By lowering user fees, tightening eligibility verification. Well, it's pretty freaking tight right now. I don't know what they're going to tighten up, how much more they're going to tighten up, but it's very very tight right now.

[00:00:35]And giving states greater authority over plan insight. The final rule notice blah blah blah, okay, reduces federal exchange user fees to help lower premiums.

[00:00:46]And so if the carriers' fees are a lot less, means the premium is a lot less, which is a good thing.

[00:00:52]It establishes new safeguards to prevent improper enrollments. I think that's a really really good thing.

[00:01:01]Um, it ensures subsidies go only to eligible individuals. It increases consumer choices. How? Okay, well, I I can explain how. The Affordable Care Act has really only been affordable for people with lower incomes, and those people with higher end up getting higher subsidies. But for everybody else, it's not affordable.

[00:01:26]Access of protections and expand state flexibility to manage the exchange the some of the exchanges.
