“Explosion-proof” bag fails in e-bike blast

[00:00:00]An ebike battery blew up on Machina Island. This is the 10th time it's happened there. Ebikes are only allowed on the island for people with mobility issues. Here's what you guys have said.

Power of the building was cut off. It was even stored in an explosionproof bag. That bag exploded. They should probably change that name. A good Samaritan saw the smoke, called 911, and tried to keep the flames at bay before crews arrived.

[00:00:40]Firefighters had to physically throw the battery out a window to keep things under control. That's how dangerous these can be. This fire comes just days after an exploding ebike battery killed someone in the UP. Battery fires can start during charging, during storage, or really anytime.
