Okay, so let's let's go over this this definition. I It's most assuredly not a Alfred Hitchcock movie that we are referring to. So we will cover this in depth now and also educate you on the trending terminology here. So gaslighting is a form of emotional manipulation where someone causes another person to question their own memory, perception, or reality.
Uh as you can see that might be a bit confusing to live in a in a way where you're constantly being gaslit by your significant other and make you question what it is that you think you do believe. See the term comes from when the city streets had gas lights and when they were dimmed or they were lit then you would see shadows and therefore you thought well maybe somebody's there when nobody was there because they dimmed or they just turned the gas lights on.
I know these things because I was thinking you didn't know what gaslighting was.
