I think that the biggest thing that I have to recognize in this situation was that while you were the drinker, I was the enabler.
And that was never a phrase that I was comfortable with when it was happening.
I think that's pretty understandable that most people probably are like, "No, no, I'm not the enabler. I'm I'm the bystander."
And so having to reconcile with that and realize that there were things that I could work on and there were pieces where I had to step up to such a degree that I had a hard time backing off it.
