So, we're not going to talk about the lowest common denominator. Now, if you're familiar with the finding the LCD, that is fantastic. But, finding the LCD and changing fractions such that they have the lowest common denominator tends to confuse a lot of people. So, we're going to kind of eliminate that because what I want to give you here is some practical math skills, right? So, it's you know, we're not talking about you know, having you pass an algebra test or a math test. I just want you to be able to add and subtract fractions.
All right. So, we have 2/3 + 1/5. Now, again, most of you might be thinking in terms of finding the LCD. And if you know how to find the LCD and you could do this by changing these fractions such that they have the lowest common denominator of 15, well, that is fantastic. But, what I'm going to show you here is a shortcut method that you need to understand. All right. So, if you have ever been scared of fractions, this shortcut is going to be outstanding. It's going to eliminate all your fraction anxiety. Okay.
