Choose Your Starter Pokemon, BUT You Only See The Random Ability!
Added:We have two Pokemon players that will be building teams to battle each other, but they don't actually get to pick their team. Let me explain. Player one will look at their three random Pokemon and then randomize three abilities on the spot. He will assign each Pokemon with one random ability. Then player two will decide which Pokemon player one gets on his team just off knowing the randomized ability alone. So, the mind games are crucial. If you get these three Pokemon and a broken ability like speed boost, do you give that to the worst Pokemon on the screen so he won't pick it for you?
Or do you risk giving it to that Metagross just to try and juke him out?
Since we can't select our own teams, having a killer poker face and being able to read your opponents is massive.
And once we've selected a full Pokémon team for each other, we will battle it out in a best of three. This is a part of an ongoing series across mine and Shad's channel that happens every week.
So, make sure you're subscribed to both of us. At the end of each video, both of us will drop one Pokemon for our final team, all leading up to a championship match. The winner of that will be the winner of the entire series. There's a playlist down below for every episode.

I will randomize three abilities um and I will choose them. Now, if it's ever an ability that does nothing, like it's a doubles ability or just impostor, something that is exclusive to a Pokémon, I'll have to randomize. But let's see what three we get to start. We have 1, two, three. Innards out, drought, and thick fat. All of these do something. The best way to do this is probably inards out on the uh ink. The thick fat on the on the go- go the pre the the little guy. He's not a go-go yet. He will be one day. Drought on the palomo. I don't think he'll give me drought though. And I kind of want the palmo. So, I'm going to risk it all. I'm going to swap that. I'm going to give drought to ink. I think it's going to be the best play. Um because I want the palm more than anything.
>> Great summer. You know, got any summer vacation plans? you know, you going to the the beach, traveling at all. I have no idea if we're going anywhere, but you know, Miles is going to be turning one this summer, which is crazy. How did a year pass by? That That's nuts. And then the uh I really if you would have given me the inards out that was a palomo or a pommy. I would have loved that cuz it's frail >> and it has revival blessing. So I can literally revival blessing you kill me and then you die was like what I wanted to happen but >> Okay. All right. So I gave you the middle ground, but think if I had still like you said on a grass type pretty good. Pretty good.

These are all really solid Pokemon, but the abilities are crucial. Let's see what we can get. We have Rainish.
What am I doing with Rain Dish? Let's be honest. I mean, it's not too bad on the Poliwrath, I guess. Uh color color change and wandering spirit. Oh my days. Okay, I think what I do here is I give Rain Dish to the Polyrath cuz it's a solid Pokemon. If he gives it to me, it's whatever. It also goes pretty well if I can get a Drizzle Pokemon. Color change I give to Blazakin cuz it might be the best on the screen. And Wandering Spirit, I don't think he'll give it to me. But I would get Last Respects. Do I take that on the Grievar? Maybe color change and wandering spirit in the middle. No, I think I stick with what I get cuz he might give me color change and that would still give me Blaze again. So that way if I get suck color change, I at least get Blaze again. So I'm going to I'm going to lock that in.

Color change was in my opinion the best Pokemon. It was just like if I get stuck with that ability, at least I better get the best. It was a It was combuscin Blazakin.

This is the thing, though, cuz like you could get to the point to where you start baiting them and giving the good Pokemon the good ability. I don't know.

And Luminion did work in the last series. I'm actually going to preemptively write down what Pokemon I I would be shocked if he doesn't give it to me, but just in case he doesn't, I am going to give uh Forewarn to Luminion on the last. I'm gonna give as one special attack to the Hound Hour and I'm going to give Supreme Overlord to Dong cuz that is a fantastically named Pokemon as Supreme Overlord Dugong. All right, Dylan.

You know what I could do actually is I give Dazzling to the left, Volsorb to the right, which he probably won't give me. That way at least if I I can't be sucker punched with dazzling on the grump peg which could be good. I don't know if he has sucker punch on something but that's pretty good. And then if I get big pikes in the middle I get toxic spikes. I get earthquake. I get a special wall for his as one special attacker. So that's pretty good. We'll we'll lock that in.

That might be a radical red pill, but I I think I think it does. We'll find out.

Prevents the Pokemon and its allies from being poisoned.
Okay. Uh, hustle and magician. Okay, what I think I do is I give pastel to toadile. Can't be poison. That's really not that bad.
Like, if he sets up toxic spikes or something. I give hustle to the bramblegast because bramblegast is decently fast and as long as I don't miss, he has good physical attack. I I don't think he'll give it to me, but that would be pretty good. I give magician to the Trevenant, which is like okay, you know. I just looked at Magician and Pokemon didn't come up.
Shocker. The Pokemon still is a held item on the Pokemon when it hits it with a move, which is not bad. It's it's okay. In one way, I get a fra alligator, which is, you know, it's it's an it's an all right Pokemon as much as I love him, not with the ability. And then the other two, I think this is the best case scenario for me. It's okay.

>> Uh, let's see how this goes. Uh, on the left, we have magician.
>> Okay, I like that ability a lot.
>> In the middle, we have hustle. On the right, we have pastel veil.
>> Ah, no sleepy time.

>> Oh, maybe it is no poison. Maybe it does more in Radical Red. I'm going to get this both. I really like the ability magician. It's cool and fun. We have to spend an item for it to work. So, it's good on a focus sess user or like a berry eater. Um, or you fling. I mean, I think the worst ability is the last one.
Pretty sure. I mean, hustle is hustle's good enough. Hustle's great. The last Pokemon is definitely good. Nah, you know what? You have like a lot of nothing burger abilities. I'm giving you a magician. I'm giving you an ability that at least can do something. Take magician. Enjoy it.

I'm looking at shady team. Goat doesn't set up. Hound doom. Uh, Hound Doom does.
I mean, he can. I guess he has two months that can set up like hazards without actually having to set up hazard. You just attack. Impolon matches really well against Rocky Road. Rocky Road actually has like a potential setup option. So, I'm actually going to go ceaseless here. He's got no flying types, so spikes are really, really good. I think he's running screens. I did bring on my Exeggutor. He's probably going to think psychic fangs, but I had to go Brick Break. But, he's got two ghost types. It's actually worse for me.
It's worse than it's ever been. But, I think we just go for the spikes.
Honestly, I probably shouldn't now that I'm looking at his team a little bit better. Watertight moves do a good hit everything except for Impion. Impolon is his only lead that I'd be afraid of. He ended up going Rydon Eevee instead of Riperior. That is a bold strategy and it could be really good.
