Full Installation Of The ACIQ 5 Zone Heat Pump System!Added:
Good morning, guys. Today we're going to be installing an ACIQ cassette system with a stick cooling and heating. I'm going to bring you guys along. So, let's head to the job.
I got my van all cleaned out and organized, ready for the equipment.
Don't have time to go in on all my supplements today, so I'm just going to take uh my multivitamin. Going to grab my creatine, my BCAAs.
Creatine, and my BCAAs.
Going to grab a Yurba for later. All right, and we are off. We're going to go load up the equipment and then head to the job. So, ACIQ were kind enough to send us equipment for this job. So, we're going to go pick it up and show you guys what they sent us.
This is all the equipment that ACIQ sent out. It's a five zone cassette system.
We have our four-way cassettes here, our one-way cassette right here. This is our wall mounted head right here, the outdoor unit that will be powering all of this right here. And then the grills, the condenser pad, and then we also got five pairs of light sets in there as well.
All right. Well, we got it all in there.
Don't judge me, but I went and tried the Red Bull, the new one that just came out. I don't drink Red Bulls anymore.
I'm always drinking your bomantes cuz it's just a all natural tea. Take a look at this. This Viper koozie. It's too funny. But I wanted to see what the hype was all about. And honestly, it wasn't that great. It tastes specifically like squirt and cotton candy, but it's not like a crisp taste that you like expect from a Red Bull. It's not very crisp, and I like that crisp taste.
I'd give it a 6 out of 10.
I'm going to get some work done before everyone gets here. My cameraman, Matthew, will be here at 9:00. And then one of the founders of Astate Cooling and Heating is going to be here. It's going to be us three on the site today.
Me and Alex will be starting on the outdoor unit and one of the wall-mounted heads. And then the remaining of the week, we'll have a full crew of like three or four people, and we'll knock it out. But in the meantime, I'm going to get some work done.
You've been putting off getting into HR's most people's shot.
>> Yeah.
>> What up, bro? How are you?
>> Good, man.
>> Nice hoodie. Dang. Look at that. Looking clean, bro. I didn't realize, bro, you're back there since 8:30.
>> Yeah, bro.
>> Shoot. I was I was telling the vlog, "Oh, we're waiting for Matthew to pull up." But meantime, you're already over there.
>> I was scrolling. I'm not going to lie.
>> That's funny.
So today in this house, we are going to put a five zone cassette system in.
Currently has a one zone mini split that we're going to be removing. This single condenser that we're going to put in is going to handle all the cooling needs for this home.
This right here is the existing condenser that we have. We removing it and putting in the new condenser over there. We're going to leave it for now to give them cooling because we will be here for probably a good week. Um, but here is um the install. We have a notepad, the electrical here. Um, it's going to be a big contrast from how they've done their install and how we do it. So, let me show you. Essentially, right here is where the new system is going to be. We're going to run the electrical, the line set, and the drain, all that stuff. So, stay tuned.
So, here is where the existing wall-mounted mini split is. Um, we're actually going to be removing it and then putting in a one-way wall-mounted cassette in here.
here.
All right, guys. This is Alex, one of the founders of Acedit. We're on the job site today. It's going to be me and him knocking it out today, and then we're going to get the rest of the crew later on this week. Let's do it. Cool.
>> Okay. So, they have little face plates, too. Yeah, those are the face plates.
Yeah, you >> can probably pop those up top here.
>> Yep.
>> Slide them over.
Let's get this dolly.
>> Ready?
>> Yep.
>> Ready.
Sweet.
Yeah. Cool.
>> Thinking about setting up the buried.
Open it up. Do it.
Sweet. All right, we got one of the wall-mounted heads right here. This will be for one of the bedrooms. Here she is.
Right there. Nice. You said you wanted to unbox this one, right? Is that what you said?
>> Do that one.
>> Okay, cool. We got our template right here. Comes nice and handy where we drill our holes. Sweet. What else we got in here? We got our bag that comes with the remotes, remote holder, batteries, Net Home Plus. I think this is for the Wi-Fi. Net home plus compressor. We have this uh USB connector. Believe this is for the Wi-Fi. Smart kit intelligent.
We'll figure that out later. What else do we have in here? And then the owner's manual and installation instructions in here. That's it.
All right. Essentially want like 4 in from the wall. Let's unbox this. Got the ACIQ scoot. Oh, it's perfect actually where it's at. Sweet. All right. Um, cool.
We're going to grab some vibration pads.
We got some right here by Diversite. Got four of these bad boys. These vibration pads are my favorite from all that I've used. Let me show you. All right. I'm going to set these pads under the condenser just like this. Let's get it nice and perfect, though. So, boom.
Slide this one like that.
Last one. Squid it forward a little bit.
Just like that. It's beautiful. Not to install a mini split. We got the the coil all coiled up back here. Got the electrical running in this. It's not sealed tight. Got no pad. We got just some wood. It's penetration. Looks like spiders, rats can get in there. Um, so yeah, we're going to show you what a nice clean up to code install should look like. Got the condenser all set.
But I never Yeah.
Heat.
Heat.
You want a blade or a scissors?
>> Yeah, you got a fresh blade. Yeah.
>> Sure of how it was going to turn out.
>> You said you want the template up there or not yet?
>> Uh just kind of see where we can put it.
>> Okay.
>> Necessarily have to be up.
>> Yeah.
>> But that kind of shows us like where we take up. Yeah. And like our hole. So Okay.
>> So we're 36 right there. That should give us the uh and I'll think about the flashing itself.
>> Okay. Gotcha. And then when we shoot the line set through the hole, it goes up straight up.
>> Straight up. And then we'll screw up in there. And then we'll just look with the uh with the camera.
>> Yeah.
>> See if there's anything other than >> Okay.
>> There shouldn't be really anything. It's flat roof.
>> Flat roof. Cool.
>> Yeah. As long as it's not a 2x4.
>> Simple. Have you seen this before?
>> Cool. It's painted. Can you hand me that template real quick? I'll mark up all the holes >> for that electrical box. Did you see if it was a nail one or if that was a a floating drywall?
>> See a nail going this way and a nail going this way.
>> So now you know where there's one stud and then if you Yeah, assume 16 on center from there will be the next one.
So at least get one stud from wherever this is at and then over here we'll have to use the anchor kit.
>> All right, this one looks perfect. This one a tiny bit off. But on this big one it's perfect. So there's a stud right here.
Just grab the whole thing. A two and a half inch.
Have this.
>> Cool.
>> Want me to go on that side and catch the other half? You got it. Ready?
>> All right. There's the other side. Yeah.
>> Did it just miss the thing? Like perfect.
>> Yeah, we got like 2 three inches.
>> Perfect. Cover's a little wider so we can ship. Okay. Exactly.
>> Sweet.
>> Sweet. Um, anchors. I'll get that in.
Um, as far as the anchors, I'll get that going.
So, anchor. No. No anchor. Cool. This is the only one I don't put an anchor in.
>> More like flush.
>> Try to get a little flush. You'll you know the finesse. You'll feel it when it tries to get too much.
>> I've never used these before. These are pretty awesome.
>> I keep them there.
Nice.
As long as those are pretty flush, then you should be good because then that's what's the plate's actually going to be flush with. Probably do this one a tiny bit. All right, cool. That should be good. And then this one I don't need one. And then just the plate and add the actual screws.
Can I double confirm with that level?
Matthew, if you don't mind. Double confirm. Yeah, looks pretty good. All right, I'll go grab the unit. I'll just bring it inside.
Yeah, I think we're >> No stud.
>> Yeah, no stud. I think we're golden, man. Because when we go straight up, that's where >> Yeah. How do we know where we will be at on the roof? You see it?
>> Yeah, it's right there.
>> Oh, nice. Cool. Right here.
>> It's about where I thought.
>> So, now we'll just get the hole saw 2 and 1/2 in or what do you think? same move you did inside or >> I'd say whatever is big enough for us whatever excess so we can give like a nice curve to the line set when it gets ran it's not too hard of 90 >> it's hard to >> so this line set's running up here straight over here and then we're >> we're going to penetrate through here >> and run it through the attic sweet >> yeah when you pop up through the attic you can actually see that vent >> okay >> that'll be the fun one >> sweet >> we'll probably run it this way cuz this will probably be the easiest running it this way and then when we get over here do the bends with the excess and drop it straight down.
>> Okay.
>> I can give you money.
>> There it is. All right, Derehead.
>> What's up?
>> Yes.
>> Right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Yes. Right.
I think that would be the best bet.
>> I think so, too. We could use this right here kind of as a nice little >> soft right here.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Pulling.
>> I like that. I like that.
>> One guy right here, one guy in the attic, maybe. And then >> one guy on the other side of that place, maybe. I don't know. I would say one here, one up here to start. And then as this line becomes a much smaller >> Yeah.
>> it'll be harder to kink. Yeah.
>> Because there'll be less. And then, you know, by the time I get further in there, then we'll probably get another guy over there.
>> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Cool.
That'll work. So, if we can kind of find it like same hole area.
>> Yeah. Okay.
>> Okay, cool. I'm going to pop my head in the attic. I'm going to take your light and just see if I can pop a hole. And if we're good to pop a hole there, hole saw right there. And then go ahead and hole saw that spot right there.
>> Line up right here.
>> Let me do this.
>> All right.
Right here. Should be good. I'm going to make that pilot hole.
Has that auto stop. Maybe I have to have it on drill.
Cool.
Nice. This will go right there. And then I'll make that hole over there.
Sweet.
>> All right.
>> All right. Let's uh >> if you want to go ahead and hop up there.
>> Yeah.
>> I'll hand this to you, Julian. You're going to end up being right here. You're going to be feeding to him. So, just watch how I feed to >> Want me up there or Yeah.
>> Yeah. Just up to there. And see how watch what I'm doing. This is what you're going to do for him.
>> We'll wait for him. We're already caught on something.
All right. Ready?
1 2 3 4 5 6 ft. I would be 1 2 6 ft short. Do you want to prioritize one side? Okay. Probably this side. No. So we get the flashing on. Okay. So we can push it back. Um 6 6 ft and I will get in. Yes, probably 7 or 8 ft and I'm I'm in. I can I can let you guys know. I'm ready. Okay, let's stop right there real quick. Okay, let me get a little a little bend on it. Okay, get a better idea. So, Julian, just just let us know, Julian, when you got like one foot just poking out. Okay, we'll work with that.
We'll see where we're at. Uh let me see.
I'm going to make a a slight just little bend over here by hand. see better before we call it that. It will go. Let me see. It'll go down. Yeah, I It looks like Yeah, I think that's good right there. It'll connect Oh yeah.
So now we'll just essentially kind of grind off these tabs right here and then we should be able to lift it off and then put like just regular screws into it and Henry's will go over that.
>> Okay. You think where it's at right now is good start screwing?
>> Yeah. Okay.
That probably is right about >> Yeah.
>> Go from the inside and see. All right.
I'll take a >> All right.
All right.
I'm going to hold that up that panel.
>> Sure. Yeah. Like right here. You said Yeah. Okay. We're in the bigger one.
>> Gotcha. I think that's good.
>> That's on point. Let's see. Let's hopefully you made it uh long enough so when they go back down they >> Yeah. Yeah, you just have that communication wise.
>> Yeah, there you go. Okay. Yeah.
Hopefully that is where he went down there.
>> Yeah.
>> Moment of truth.
>> A lot.
>> Yeah.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Yeah, I'm wait.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
I'll give you a hand.
>> Yes, please.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. Take a step down.
Take that. Where are you going? Try to from your side.
>> Uh-huh. Let me just grab this drill.
>> This one had to be go in.
>> Okay.
>> And we're going to try to >> fit the right one.
>> Do this side first.
>> Okay. The right side. Okay. Cool.
>> This one. Make a small. We're going to be like one second. Let me open the blind. Let >> me know when you're ready.
>> Get some light in here.
>> So, you want to move the ladder this way? This way? No, >> it's okay. I think it's good. Yeah.
Okay. Cool. Get this side in.
>> Yeah.
>> And then All right. Mine's pretty much okay lined up.
Okay, that's good. Yeah. Oh, cool.
>> They're scared, too.
>> Yeah.
>> And that's the only thing I don't like in this unit.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Good time.
>> Yep.
We can remove the excess.
>> Okay. Nice.
>> On the other side. Yeah.
>> Brand new.
>> Yep. Brand new.
Here's our template.
They are for >> Mhm.
>> for the pendant breakers. I love this one, too.
>> Nice.
>> You can just screw it.
>> Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
>> This is super nice.
>> And you have 13 13 >> 13 and a quarter. That's the thing I love for this unit. Sweet.
I saw three of those.
>> Oh, these.
>> Mhm.
>> Nice.
>> Yep.
>> All right, >> we got to go get some turn around.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
All right, here's the Go go go go go.
All right, guys. This install has come to a finish. Let me show you guys. Here is the outdoor unit by ACIQ. It is on. It is super quiet right now. I'm not having to talk loud or talk over the system.
Right here we have five line sets that are ran all insulated and covered with the AX flex guard. We have our disconnect. The electrical ran through the attic surge protector. And then here is our line set cover. Our line set cover has five line sets all inside of one cover. Electrical was completely ran to the breaker panel with a new breaker.
Here is our drain line. This worked conveniently. We added gravel. We have a straight shot down to the condenser to make it look all nice and clean. We have our vibration pads by Diversite. I really like Diversite's vibration pads compared to other options on the market.
They are very high quality. It's one of the newer ones and it outperforms like cork and rubber. It outperforms the waffle pads. It's not affected by oils or chemicals. It can break down cork.
It's a lot more effective at vibration dampening than solid rubber. It can withstand 50 PSI. So, when you guys are choosing your vibration pads for your install, definitely choose Diverse EVA vibration pads. Really happy with how this install turned out with ACIQ and aced it. Big thank you to ACIQ for sending out the equipment. If you guys are in the IE or OC area, Corona, Riverside, etc., and you need HVAC services from maintenance, repairs to installations, check out Astic Cooling and Heating. They provide quality installs like the one you see back here.
