Corvette ZR1 VS Lamborghini Revuelto - HEAD TO HEAD!

[00:00:00]Good morning everybody. This is Supercar Ron and I am standing in between my 2,00 horsepower supercars, the Chevy Corvette ZR1 and the Lamborghini Revoto. They both have roughly the same horsepower.

[00:00:12]They both weigh roughly the same, but which one is faster?

[00:00:17]>> I think I'm going to get clapped.

[00:00:19]>> Both Chase and I think the ZR1 is going to be faster than a Pelto. Get the tires nice and warm.

[00:00:30]It is not even close. Let's switch cars.

[00:00:33]You don't know what you're doing.

[00:00:43]>> Yeah, I think that's just the reality.

[00:00:45]Just faster.

[00:00:46]>> These cars are dramatically different kind of in a couple of respects. Price is probably the most prevalent difference between these two cars, but otherwise on paper, they match up really well. This Corvette ZR1 runs a 1,064 horsepower twin turbo high revving V8.

[00:01:03]This is insane. You see all the carbon fiber bits. We even went with Vosan. We did these carbon fiber barreled wheels.

[00:01:11]You'll see carbon fiber all over the car. The roof comes off, which is one of my favorite features of the car. Look at this insane rear wing. I literally can't even stretch. It's so big. We also did a relic exhaust on this. Okay, this is supposed to put down about 100 extra horsepower. That's the main modification on this car is just an exhaust system.

[00:01:33]The Revoto over here is a different beast. Okay, V12 with some hybrid assist. We also put some Vosan wheels on this, but otherwise this car is bone stock. I think the ZR1 and the ZR1X for that matter are the bargain supercars of the decade. I bought that car for 250,000 bucks and it is slaying track records all over the country. Drag race records. I saw a video with my Hamilton boys the other day. Their ZR1X laid waste to a Koigesco.

[00:02:09]Wow, that is so crazy, dude. This car, the Revoto, you guys might know this is my third Revoto. I had the matte black one that I picked up with my Batman costume. I had the insane Oro Alba one.

[00:02:23]That colorway was unbelievable. And now this was my original spec in Verde Hermes over Terra Amelia interior. Now, this car stickered, I think at $860,000.

[00:02:35]And you might ask, okay, then why own the Revoto over the ZR1 given the price difference? There is something really special about a naturally aspirated V12 in this exotic kind of package. I love the Lamborghini Revoto. I actually think it might be my favorite Lamborghini ever made and I've owned a bunch of them.

[00:02:56]From a dig, this car is all-wheel drive.

[00:02:58]The ZR1 is rear wheel drive. It's going to be really interesting to see which car is faster kind of from those low speeds. I think it's going to be really close, though.

[00:03:09]All right, you guys. I am in the Routo today and I'm sure Ron and I will trade a little bit and then hopefully we'll both get rolls in in each car to see who the better driver is. Ron will probably want to place bets as usual. That's just how Ron is. He's a gambling man and he's taught me that gambling is the best thing you can do to have fun with friends. I would classify myself much more as a Lamborghini person than a Corvette person. But I do have to give it to Corvette and Chevrolet. Look at this thing on the road. This car looks insane. And the wing is like I'm a big fan of big wings. That wing is so insanely ridiculous. I think it's like the biggest wing I've ever seen on a stock production vehicle. It's so sick.

[00:04:04]Oh my god.

[00:04:11]You guys, I'm here at UMC, so Utah Motorsports Campus. This place is really special in the state of Utah. It's the only track like this. And today we have the ZR1 and the Revoto. We are going to go do some roll racing right now. I think I'm just a better driver than Taste is, honestly. And so, I don't even know if it matters the car. Taste, which one do you think is going to be better?

[00:04:31]>> Here's the thing. I think this car is going to lay waste the Lamborghini. What do you think? The waist is like a big claim.

[00:04:36]>> I'd say at least at least a car or two lengths.

[00:04:39]>> A car or two. Okay. So, I think last time we were maxing out. And again, this is a 0.9 mile straight. But what we have to do, there's a start and a finish. And if you don't hit the brakes at the finish line, you're going to carry too much speed into the end. That would be bad for all of us. Okay. So, I think we're going to get to about 140 mph.

[00:04:55]That's what I think. So, roll race up to 140. Let's see which one of these two amazing supercars is faster.

[00:05:02]>> Yep. And a disclaimer for those that are expecting a drag race. This is not a proper drag race. They're still building a proper drag race strip here at UMC, which will come one day. So, we're doing roll races. So, we're starting from a dig at 40. Well, let's go answer the question. Is it the Italian supercar >> or the very decently priced American supercar?

[00:05:23]>> All right, let's go.

[00:05:23]>> We're just going to do a few passes. And here's the thing. This is anything but scientific. I think I'm going to get clapped. You guys, this ZR1 is a friaking monster. Both Chase and I think the ZR1 is going to be faster than the Rubelto.

[00:05:39]Get the tires nice and warm here.

[00:05:44]Got to get every leg up I can get on this Corvette because that thing scares me. It's just a weapon. The fact that they can sell that car for $250,000 and you can come out and beat basically every hypercar out there. It's pretty wild. We're gonna start at 40. Okay, here we go. To the line. We're gonna pass.

[00:06:27]>> Wow. Okay.

[00:06:29]That was interesting.

[00:06:36]I started to pull cuz I think I actually hit like right before I started to pull and that Corvette jumped and got right into it. And uh yeah, he ended up actually getting me there at the end.

[00:06:48]Closer than I thought. ZR1 for the win.

[00:06:52]That's the first one right there.

[00:06:54]Absolutely hammered. Wow. And I was struggling for traction off the line there, too. Ye freaking hot. That's number one. We got a lot of wind coming into us, by the way. This is crazy.

[00:07:05]>> I'm curious to see how Ron's drive went because I feel like I short shifted. The start line came up so quick.

[00:07:10]>> I um did not shift properly. I think the wind could actually be bigger for the ZR1. I have it in drive specifically because I often miss shifts when we're roll racing for whatever reason. And so I have it in drive because it just automatically shifts. It also did not get to the full 8,000 RPM. And that might be because I have a check engine light that just barely came on. What happened?

[00:07:34]>> I don't know. I pulled pretty great off the line.

[00:07:37]>> Yeah, but I caught up and passed you.

[00:07:39]>> You caught up quick.

[00:07:40]>> Let's go hit it a couple more times. The rain is starting to fall, so we want to get it in while we can.

[00:07:45]>> Okay, let's do it.

[00:07:47]>> All right, boys. Second go and 3 2 1 go.

[00:07:55]Oh my gosh.

[00:08:07]>> North of 130. Dude, it is not even close.

[00:08:11]This is not a close race at all. Wow.

[00:08:17]That thing is just faster.

[00:08:19]>> Oh my gosh, dude. Is Tase even hitting the accelerator on the Revolto? The ZR1 lays a waste to the RevoTO. I am manually shifting the thing. I wonder if I should just let it go. I've been trying to make the car do what I want, but no, with these like brand new supercars, I think you just have to lay into it and let it shift on its own.

[00:08:39]Maybe he doesn't know how to drive. I'm going to switch cars and then I'll show him. It's not the car, it's the driver.

[00:08:44]All right. Yeah, let's do that. I think that's the right play here.

[00:08:47]>> Let's switch cars. You don't know what you're doing.

[00:08:53]>> Dude, that thing is laying waste to this. Maybe you were laying waste to me.

[00:08:58]>> We'll see if it's the driver. Here we go.

[00:09:01]>> All righty. Oh, this thing definitely hugs you a little bit more than the RV.

[00:09:06]I feel I feel cush in here. I think taste is the problem here. I think I'm going to smoke him. I'm just a far superior driver. Okay, let's do this again. We might run this back one other time. Dude, first gear is money. Wow.

[00:09:50]That CR1 is so fast. Never mind. It's not the driver, it's the car.

[00:09:59]I'm Dude, this car is fast. Like, it's just that much faster. Suck it, Ron.

[00:10:05]Feels good to win.

[00:10:07]>> I'm going to go into sport. Okay, we were in Corsa and that required me to shift manually.

[00:10:13]>> You just feel those turbos hit and the lag is like nothing and so you're just flying.

[00:10:21]>> I don't know if we should go again.

[00:10:22]>> I feel like that was good.

[00:10:23]>> I think that was good. Look, I was shifting manually.

[00:10:26]>> Yeah.

[00:10:27]>> And I think that's an issue. I think we honestly have to have it in auto. I wish it wasn't snowing on us right now or else we'd go again. Let's just wait.

[00:10:37]>> Let's go one more time. One more time.

[00:10:38]Go ahead.

[00:10:40]>> Listen, I think we're really trying our best to like give the Roelto what it deserves because I know I like that car.

[00:10:47]Ron loves that car. I actually think we both want it to win, but at the end of the day, I think the ZR1 is just faster.

[00:11:28]Yeah, I thought I was going to go auto.

[00:11:29]It didn't go auto. Ah, I let it kind of hit the rev limiter a little bit. That was my fault. The ZR1 is clearly faster though than this car.

[00:11:38]>> Yeah, I think that's just the reality.

[00:11:41]I think we've been looking for an answer, but when it comes down to it, the ZR1 is just faster. Ravilto looks so good, though. I actually love the looks of that car and specifically that spec, that Verde Hermes.

[00:11:57]This is good. If you guys want basically the fastest thing out there for sub $300,000, I'm not aware of anything that competes against the Corvette ZR1 or ZR. I'm I'm not even running the ZR1X. It's literally just the ZR1 >> here. That's it.

[00:12:13]>> When you go through the GoPro footage, I was talking crap like the ENTIRE TIME.

[00:12:17]>> TASTE IT. LIKE LITERALLY, you put some hack in the Lamborghini. Of course, it's not going to compete. No, it was actually the car, not the driver.

[00:12:25]Legitimately, I was like, "What is >> You know what? Here's the thing. I was demeaning myself. I think I've short shift tank or maybe I'm letting it hit the limiter too much. I was like, damn, Ron is just a really good driver.

[00:12:35]>> Dude, it literally doesn't matter. The ZR1 is night and day faster than the Lamborghini.

[00:12:41]>> It It is like I was saying to the camera like I think we both wanted the Revoto to do well >> like cuz it's such a cool car.

[00:12:48]>> I love this car.

[00:12:49]>> At the end of the day, like the answer is right here.

[00:12:51]>> It has an exhaust and I guess maybe I'm making a little bit of difference. I I really don't think it's an exhaust. I think the car is dramatically fast. Both of these cars are new. They both have more than breaking miles on them though, so they were both running like peak performance and it was not close. We have verified it for ourselves. The king of 1000 horsepower cars is the Chevy Corvette ZR1. It is crazy.
