Arizona Cardinals Record Prediction After 2026 NFL Schedule Release

[00:00:07]Welcome to Cardinals Today presented by Prize Picks. And on today's show, we're doing a record prediction for the Arizona Cardinals in 2026 after the official NFL schedule release. We're going to predict how good or bad the Cardinals will be. That exact record coming up. But first, I want you guys to predict it before I do. I'll go through I'll like and reply to comments to see what you guys think the Arizona Cardinals are in store for in 2026. Naturally, we'll start with week one. In weeks one through four, it's Chargers, Seahawks, Niners, and Giants. That week one matchup, you know, it's quite intriguing to me. Arizona going to play the Chargers. They've got a new system going on, new OC, which I think will be beneficial for Herbert. But I'm going to get crazy. Week one, there's always something unexpected. Okay, the Raiders beat the Patriots in week one last year, folks. And then the rest of the season, Raiders got the number one overall pick.

[00:01:03]I actually think we're going to get something wild like that. And I'm picking the Cardinals to start off 1 and0. Everybody's going to be overreacting to it on Twitter and it'll be awesome for Cardinals fans. Remember, the Cardinals have actually had a couple seasons they start undefeated. I think they start one and0 here, beat the Chargers. I also, you know, a lot of people are glazing Justin Herbert. I don't see why he's never won a playoff game. Is it just the size? I'm one of the people that says Herbert's good, not great yet, and he's got no excuses this year. I think the Cardinals beat them in week one. However, as much as I would love to pick Arizona to win this NFC West match up in week two, well guys, I got I I'm somewhat of a realist that defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks come to Arizona, they probably win that one and the Cardinals fall to one and one. You can see record flips in last year. One day the Cardinals hopefully soon will be very competitive in this division. Uh but I don't think that starts in week three either. I think the San Francisco 49ers get the win at home over the Arizona Cardinals.

[00:01:59]And the Cardinals are now one and two.

[00:02:01]You know, I would love to say the Cardinals could get one of these division wins early. I think maybe they can get one this year. Uh I won't spoil anything, but I don't think it's too promising the Cardinals outlook in the NFC West going into it. the New York Giants. Uh, winnable game I would say, but in New Jersey at Metife, I'm gonna give the Giants the nod here in week four and the Cardinals are now one and three. I do think that young quarterback's looking pretty good. John Harbaugh is a coach that well, we wanted to come to Arizona, right? And didn't work out. He would he did not pick here and so I do think that the Giants will get that win. Um, maybe it'll be somewhat close, but Arizona falls to one and three. A lot of people probably haven't won them four 0 and four at this point. I at least got a win in there for your Arizona Cardinals. But let's go through weeks five through eight. Lions then at Rams verse Broncos and at Cowboys. Uh the Lions, I'm going to have to give the Cardinals a loss here once again. I think the Lions, you know, were a little banged up last year. They're going to be a good team next year. Okay, they've made some good offseason additions and uh I do think, you know, funny enough, this going to be a revenge game for Drew Petting, right? I mean, I'm glad he's out of here, but watch.

[00:03:13]He'll come motivated against this Cardinals defense, and I do think the Lions pick up this win. Cardinals one and four. We go to the Rams in California. Uh, I'm going to start the Cardinals off 0 and three in the division as well. You know, guy, again, it pains me to be doing this, guys, but I am being honest. I'm being objective here. And I do think the Cardinals are going to be a team that is well, looking ahead towards the 2027 NFL draft. We'll see where I have them going after this one and five start. Maybe with some surprises coming up, but uh I do think that in Los Angeles, well at LA, the uh Rams going to take this win against Mike Laflur. Sean McVey knows his tricks.

[00:03:51]Lafleur knows McVeys though, so I could see the Cardinals sneaking in one against the Rams this season. We'll look at that. But at the moment, I got Arizona starting one and five. Tonight's playoff basketball game, Cleveland, Detroit. I'm going more than three and a half points for Caris Levert. He's done that in most of these games. Donovan Mitchell, I think it's his night. [00:04:36]Goblin play there. Also goblin on Harden's points. I love doing this. More than 14 and a half points for Harden. He just dropped 30. He's locked in all of a sudden and I love watching it. Jared Allen, I'm going to go more than seven and a half points, too. He's been massive for Cleveland. Battling down low, offensive rebounds, put back layups. Eight points is a pretty pretty um safe thing for Jared Allen usually.

All right, let's get back to predicting the Cardinals record week seven. This is a tough You got to host the Denver Broncos. That defense, oh lord, that's going to be tough to throw against.

[00:05:29]Whether it's Brtt, whether it's Mchu, whether it's Beck, I do not like this matchup for Arizona at all. And uh the 14-3 Broncos in 2025 having come in here and put on a defensive showing.

[00:05:40]Cardinals now 1-6. Let's have some fun though in week eight at Dallas. Same matchup as last year. And what happened?

[00:05:48]Cardinals won, baby. I'm giving Arizona the win. They improved to two and six.

[00:05:53]I'm buying into it. I I've talked to a lot of Cowboys fans. They're scared to play the Cardinals. Arizona's had their number for the past couple years, it feels like, especially this season. I mean, Marvin Harrison Jr. looked great in this game. This was also in prime time. This was also in Arlington, Texas.

[00:06:07]You know, I almost thought about going to the game, in fact. And Cardinals won it. It was a fun showing in prime time.

[00:06:13]Won't be in the bright lights this time.

[00:06:15]It'll be on, you know, Sunday. But I do think the Cardinals can pull this one off here. And Cowboys fans will be questioning it once again. Cardinals two and six at this point. Moving on to late in the season, weeks nine through 13 for the Arizona Cardinals. Okay, at Seattle is the next matchup on the schedule and then they'll host the Rams, go to Kansas City, and host the Commanders before the buy. At Seattle, I got to give Seahawk the Seahawks a win. Again, I hate those Seahawks, guys. I really do. This is a team that just won the Super Bowl and they just got better. They just got better. It's it's it's annoying to see all the other teams in the FC West getting better. Um Cardinals getting better, too. They're just got a slower climb to make here. And uh I do think the Cardinals go 0 and2 against the Seahawks this year. You know, is that really surprising? They're two and seven right now in week nine. Week 10 though.

[00:07:04]I really did think about picking the Cardinals here. I really did think about it. But uh the way we'd be trending is the Cardinals would probably have too many wins if I picked them to win uh against the Rams because, you know, we're not done with wins, don't worry.

[00:07:15]But uh I'm gonna have to give the Rams the win here. A lot of people in on the Rams this year, you know, a lot of the odds makers, all of it, and a lot of the analysts. So, you know, I guess I will give them the nod in this game reluctantly. And the Cardinals are now 2 and8. How about at Kansas City? This is another one I really thought of. Okay, because the Chiefs always lose to some bad team and and everybody's shocked by it and nobody picks it and that's why Kansas City was six and 11 last year. I do think if Mahomes is healthy, this is a Kansas City win in Arrowhead. It's going to be loud. You know how they play. Uh, we're getting around to Thanksgiving time. This has a Chiefs win written on it. So, unfortunately, I got the Cardinals fall into two and nine.

[00:07:59]It'll be interesting to see the quarterback battle though at this next stage of the season, right? Is Beck in by this point? I'm going be honest, guys. You know, I haven't been very uh kind to Carson Beck, let's say. I not a fan of his game, but I loved what I saw from him in rookie mini camp. Uh, that clip of him going around of him looking like Burrow. We'll talk about that in a future future video, but I do want to see him play at this point in this season. So, let's see what we we've gotten him hopefully, but against Mahomes, that'll be a tough task. How about hosting the Commanders? This is a very winnable game for the Arizona Cardinals. Okay. Uh Washington was bad last year. Five wins. Still better than the Cardinals, but they were bad. And Jaden Daniels, this is all about if he takes the leap or not. I'm going to give the win to the Commanders. Um because again, I still have a win on this or two on this Cardinal schedule. Stay tuned.

[00:08:47]But, you know, I just think the Cardinals are going to be first or second overall pick next year. Uh and they're just not a f not a favorable matchup in a lot of these games. I do think that this Washington offense can probably produce in Arizona. It'll be a very close game though and come down to the fourth. But I think the Cardinals blow it here at week in week 12. They're two and 10. Then you get the by-week.

[00:09:10]All right. a nice chance to reset. Um, you know, let yourselves regroup before this back half of the season. A lot of teams looking to make a late run here after the buy. Cardinals get to rest up and uh NFL did not do them any favors this year though, folks. Okay, they're coming off the buy uh with a tough matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

[00:09:28]So, you got to host Philly in week 14.

[00:09:32]Then you get to host the Jets and go to New Orleans. Two teams that weren't great last year. Neither were the Raiders. Is this a stretch? Do we see some Cardinals wins coming up and then Niners to finish off the season? Let's do the rest of this together, folks. So, I'm going to say that the Cardinals lose to the Eagles at home. Philly is going to be a good football team. Don't think they'll have AJ Brown, but they got Mai Lemon. They did a lot of receiver work.

[00:09:55]Um, Cardinals are two and 11 at this point, folks, in week 14. You know, I think this is relatively accurate to predict. Let me know in the comments section if I'm if I'm off here, but I think when we get to week 14, it's going to be a record somewhat like this. Until you play the New York Jets at home, Cardinals get that win over the New York Jets. Gino Smith has a case for worst quarterback in the league. Uh, this could be young rookie Carson Beck's first win perhaps in it at home close to Christmas time. Little Christmas present for Arizona. Let's do it as we host the New York Jets and get this win.

[00:10:34]Cardinals now three and 11. Question is, do they pick up any more wins before the end of the year? Well, they got to go to New Orleans in week 16. So, going to give the Saints a win here. I think the Saints are a sneaky good team next year, folks. I don't know if you've been keeping up, but you know, I they might be my pick to win the the South over there in the NFC because Shucks look pretty good. They got new weapon for him and Jordan Tyson. Things are jelling in New Orleans and they got hot later in the season. I think they're gonna look sneaky good next year. Um, you know, battling the Bucks for that division and Panthers and Saints going to pick up a win. Cardinals now three and 12. So, how do they finish off the season and how does this impact the draft implications?

[00:12:24]another winnable game and I could see the Cardinals pulling this off. But I think the Raiders at this point either Mendoza will be playing and that would be fun. Mendoza vers Beck national championship quarterback battle rematch.

[00:12:39]We know Mendoza had the upper hand there at Indiana. Uh I do think the Raiders have done a lot of good work in the offseason, too. They got it center that they paid well record setting offer to Tyler Linder bomb. They made a lot of the right plays. So, I'm going to give the Raiders this win here. I think they'll be a better they'll have a better record than the Cardinals, unfortunately. And the Cardinals are three and 13 on their way to maybe the top pick of the NFL draft. This will be where these matchups get really intense.

[00:13:04]And for that reason, I think in week 18, they lose to the 49ers. Okay.

[00:13:09]Effectively clinching the first or second overall pick to get their franchise quarterback. Arch Manning, CJ Carr, who's the early Heisman favorite.

[00:13:17]Dante Moore. I'll tell you this right now. Dante Moore would have been a Jeder Cardinal if he declared for this year's draft. Promise you that he did not. And so we sit here and the Cardinals need their QB. Still three and 14. The final record I have for the Arizona Cardinals after that week 18 match up.
