This video demonstrates a complete makeup routine using cream-based products specifically designed for mature skin, including priming serums, BB creams, concealers, eyeshadow primers, bronzers, blushes, highlighters, and lip products. The presenter emphasizes that cream products are more forgiving for aging skin as they don't settle into fine lines and wrinkles like powder products might. Key techniques include applying products with fingers for warmth and better blending, using the right brush for each product type, and building coverage gradually. The presenter also shares practical tips about eyebrow care, mascara application, and Velcro roller usage for hair styling.

MAKEUP TIPS FOR MATURE SKIN | FRESH GLOW MAKEUP OVER 50 #nopowderneededAdded:
waiting for the camera to stop bouncing up and down. Before we start today's video, I wanted to mention that I have some new Velcro rollers. And if you see, they are much wider than the norm and they have metal inside. So you can shoot your blow dryer in there, warm that hair up, and then let it cool down, and it kind of gives you the hot roller effect.
However, not exactly.
You will see it at the end of the video.
Okay, so today I'm flying by the seat of my pants. Uh I am in Buffalo. We are here for approximately 6 weeks and then we head back to Florida. It's cold and rainy, but it h we have been having some nice days. You may hear some um like pecking noise. We have a critter on the roof, a woodpecker, and he is pecking away. He's looking for his mate. He's a only little devil.
He has been going for three days straight, and he has not attracted a female yet. Okay. All right. So, um, I'm going to prime and I am, of course, all my skin care is on and I did an eye mask earlier and my sunscreen's on. So, I'm going to go in with the True Skin Radiant Priming Serum from Ilia because, you know, I love a glow. And it's just a milky white serum.
And we're going to go ahead and apply that.
Most of these things I'm trying for the first time. Not everything, but most I am trying for the first time. Need a little bit more.
It has a nice slip to it. We'll see if I get any pilling or anything like that.
My eyebrows are wild and uncontrolled because I am letting them grow in. I want them to get very, very thick. Okay, so it's drying down. It does have a little bit of a tackiness to it, which we will see how the uh BB cream that I'm going to be using uh works with it. We shall see. Okay, so this will be a brand new product and this is from another YouTuber and her name is Nicole and she has a line called Nicole Beauty. This is the BB cream and this is geared towards mature skin. So, I'm going to go ahead and put some on the back of my hand and all the colors will be listed for uh listed below. This is B4 that I am wearing. So, I'm going to start out with one pump. She does have her own brush for it and it's called her buffing brush. So, I'm going to go ahead and start in the center of my face and we will see. Let me get my handy dandy mirror here and see how this does. I'm going to pounce first.
Maybe I'll do this side with the brush and then I'll see how it works with the hand. So far, the finish looks nice. I did use a lot of product right then and there.
So, let's go ahead and just pounce it out.
I'll do this whole side.
with the brush. And then I'll go in. I'm going to take another pump. And I'm going to use my fingers this time just to see what we get. Most of it will go towards the center of the face.
The color is almost perfect.
And then I'm going to sweep it out and just feather it. I like it better with just my hands, but that's just my preference.
You may like it with the brush.
Yeah, I think that the hand for me gives it a really pretty finish.
Little more coverage with the hand.
I only used that little bit so far. So, let's go ahead. I have this lovely little brown spot that has decided to be a part of my face forever.
And just give it a blend.
Has a nice texture to it.
Just take a little bit more.
I do like the glow of it. Nice coverage.
Nice spreadability.
It's all important.
Very nice. So, let's go ahead and do this side with my hand.
I'm working off the camera, my phone, because it'd be useless for me to have a mirror in front of me because it would cover everything up. Okay.
The warmth of my hand does help it spread nicely.
It has a really nice finish. Let me just go ahead and put it around here.
No smell. Vegan, fragrance-free.
And then I'm just going to tap around.
So, it's very nice coverage.
Feels good on the skin.
I'm going to do just a little bit more on my little spot here.
Okay. Okay. So, there is the Nicole BB cream natural complexion blur. And again, this is B4. We'll see how it holds up. So, normally I would use my dermatology corrector, my luminous eye corrector with an SPF of 41. This is by far my most favorite concealer corrector. Absolutely love it. But for today, I wanted to try something new.
So, I have the Westminier. And the reason why I'm using these products today is because most of them are said to be excellent for aging skin. Now, if you're a 40year-old, you do not know what aging skin is yet, my friends. I love you all dearly, but you do not know. So, uh, yes, your skin has aged a little bit at 40, but when you hit 67, it's a whole new ball game, my friends.
So, I'm going to go in with the Westminier, and the color is Etier L4. I'm just going to put a dot of it here, a dot of it here, a little bit here, and a little bit there. And I'm going to go in with a refer. This is the LC1.
And I'm going to start on the outside.
And I'm going to just apply this.
You have to work quickly with this one.
So, I'm going to use my fingers to get it spread from the warmth.
And then I'll go in with the brush and just go underneath. It's a little drier than what I'm used to, which may present a problem for me.
Okay.
Okay. So, there it is. Now, my dermatology corrector is a little uh it's thinner, so I do like it a little bit better for that reason. This will give you excellent coverage. Um, for me at first glance, it's a little drying for me because the formula is a little bit drier. So, that's going to for me play into accentuating my wrinkles, okay, around the eyes that so many of you say you can't see. You better go get your bif focals on because they're there, my friends. Okay. Okay.
Okay. So, the next product I'm going to use is also from the brand Nicole, and this is her eyelid primer. I guess this is one of her bestselling products, and it is just called the eye primer. 212 is the number on it, and it has a slight peach undertone, which is going to help conceal any veining or darkness that you may have. So, I'm just going to pick a little bit up, and I am going to tap it onto my eyelid. I'm going to do both eyelids and I'm going to I do like a pouncing pouncing and drag and you know where you will need it most. But this is supposed to prevent our eye shadows from wearing off. It works for oily eye skin as well.
So, it's just going to give us that nice priming base that we need and it's going to brighten the eyes up immediately.
Okay, now I'm going to go in with the Laura Mercier. This is the Sunbeam. It's a liquid cream bronze. I'm going to put it on my hand first. I'm going to go in with my refer. This is the LC2.
I like it. It's like a baby paw. I like it because it allows me to really see this really would go on you. You don't want to just put this on your face and then go. You want to work it into the brush first and then you will go in and apply it. But this brush allows you to really place it in the area you want and then you can turn it around and feather out those edges so that you have a beautiful line to your bronzer. This could also act as a blush for many people. But notice I'm just putting it on the upper portion and the just a little bit of the lower. I'm not going in the hollow and I'm just bringing it slightly onto the cheekbone. And then of course anything that's left over and go ahead and do a framing on your face where you like it. You could also go back in and work that into the brush and do the jawline. Now, you want to make sure that you really blend this well.
These rougher brushes are beautiful.
They are just gorgeous.
And that would be the look. You get just a little bit of a shadow to sharpen up the jaw. I'm going to do just a little bit more of this up here.
And then I'll turn it around.
And you can see it kind of just warm everything up here and here. And then I'm going to do the same thing on the other side. And I forgot to mention, I'm using all cream products today. Now I'm going in with the Westminier um cream blush and I'm going to use the Nikki LaRose N20 and I'm going to just swirl it around.
Pick up a little bit and then I'll go on my hand first and then I'm just going to place this on the upper part of my cheek.
Same thing on the other side. These are very pigmented.
And I like to use this brush because it allows you to really feather it.
Do the top part of the eye.
Okay, that's a bit much. So, I'm going to go in with a another refer brush. And this is the LCO3.
And I'm just going to tap this until it feathers out. So now I'm going to go in with this highlighter. And this is Unreal liquid highlighter from Hourglass. This is the bottom just to get enough. And then I'm going to put that on my hand. And now I'm going to go in with the Nikki N17. And I'm going to use the light side. And I'm just going to brush that on. And then I'm going to sweep it on the upper parts of my cheek only. And that's just to give myself a beautiful glow. Same thing on this side.
And I just kind of tap that on and then do a nice little sweeping action and it gives you just a subtle glow.
Okay. So now I'm going to go in. I have a bunch of the Merritt satin finish. So, I just got a Merritt cream finish as a base. I'm going to go ahead and I'm just going to go in with a Let's go in with my finger first and see what we get. I haven't used this. This is what the color looks like. So, let's go ahead and place this on my lid.
Very nice.
And it's laying nicely over that Nicole primer.
Build it up a little bit.
Going to lift it up on the outer portion of my brow bone. Then I'm going to go in with a refer 01 brush and do a light sweep.
And I'll sweep that up just to make sure I've softened all the lines.
So it's a very subtle look. You can see this is just the primer and then I have that on. So we'll do the same thing on the other eye. Okay. So there is just the cream alone. I think I'm going to go in and put a little topper of this one here. I'm going to just touch my finger in and I'm just going to place it right in the center and then just work it onto the lid area. Not all the way, just a little bit to brighten it up somewhat and give me a little bit of satin finish. You can see what I'm doing. I'm focusing it right in the center and just going straight up just to really make the center pop out a little bit more. And I'm just leaving it like that. My friends, my hearing aids are acting up, so it's making me a little bit distracted.
Sorry. Okay, so this is from Pixie. I'm going to go in and I'm just going to tight line my lash. I need to use the mirror for this. I'm sorry. I'm just going to tight line very close to the lashes.
And you can see what it does for the eye. This eye is not done. This eye is done. It's just a light liner. It will make your lashes look thicker and it just gives a little definition to the eye.
just brush right up against the lash line. Then I have this pencil from Sarah Creole and I'm just going to take this and I'm going to put a little line right here and one here. These are nice pencils as well.
Okay. So, just to give a little bit of definition to the outer portion of the eye. And then I'm going to go in with a lash curler. And I'm going to use the Repper lash curler. And I'm going to curl my lashes. And then I'll be right back. As I was curling my lashes, I realized that my eyes need a little something. They're just too they don't have enough depth to them. So, I'm just going in with a another Merit that I have cream shadow. And I'm just going to touch it to the outer edge. And that's just going to bring a little bit of life to my eyes, just to the outer co uh portion of the eye.
And then just take your clean finger and brush it up slightly on the edge. And that actually helps to give better shape to the eye.
>> Okay. Up next, I have a new mascara to try from Nicole.
And this is called Volume Up. So, let's see what type of wand this has. It's black. I've been wearing brown lately.
So, this is uh going to be a little bit more color than I usually wear. And it is, I will be totally honest, it's a wand that I do not like. I don't like rubber tip wands, but we're going to try it out anyway. So, I'm just going to wiggle it on the root lash first and then I will brush it out. I have been working on my lashes with Revital Lash and they are getting better finally. My eyebrows have just gone crazy. Okay, so this the mascara goes on nicely, very nicely.
Even though I said this is the type of wand I don't really care for. There's not a whole lot of wiggle to the to the uh actual applicator, which is what I normally don't like about these. They bend too much. I like to have a little more control when I'm handling. I forgot I put bezoos on there.
So, let me just sweep a little bit more on the outer part.
And I don't do my bottom lashes, but that is the mascara. It's actually very nice. Let's first see if it transfers or flakes. Notice I've put no powder on my face for a reason. Normally I would be powdering up underneath the eyes, but I wanted to see how each of these products performs on its own without powder because that is the one thing aging women just realized they cannot use. We can, but we use it as if we're still 30 and 40. That's the problem. So, let's just do the root first. And you can just wiggle it on the root area.
And then we'll go ahead and just sweep it through.
I think I know what it is with this uh mascara that it doesn't bother me that it's on the spool is uh plastic and rubbery. It's a drier formula. So, I like that. I don't like super wet. And usually the super wet come with this type of wand applicator. So, this is a little bit drier, which I think gives you more control. And because it's not wiggling all around, you get more control that way as well. And I prefer a drier mascara because I don't know, I find they give more bulk to the lash.
And that's what I'm after, more bulk versus the spider looking lashes. So, that is one coat. So, I will go ahead and just do I'll do another coat just because I know most women put two coats of mascara on. So, I'm going to do that.
And then, of course, if you want to do your bottom lashes, you can. What I like to do on my bottom lashes, and let me go ahead and do that since I have not. I like to take the shadow that I've used, and I'm going to use the one that I used on the outer portion. And I'm using the Nikki N12. I love the Nikki Rose collection from BK Beauty. So, let's go ahead and just pick some of that shadow up. And what I'm going to do is just carve out underneath my eyes. And then I'm going to blur the shadow underneath. And I will show you how it changes the appearance of the eye compared to the one that's not done.
So, it gives you just a little more depth without having the harshness that at our age sometimes we can't do. You can do anything you want. If we're trying to keep a more um if we're trying to camouflage some of our wrinkles, we do have to make a few changes.
Now, the eyebrows, I'm just going to brush them up. I have to tell you, I'm using New Brow and I know it works for me really well and I have not tweezed a thing. So, you'll see my they're very I have trimmed them because they have gotten out of control, but I'm trying to let as much hair grow in possible as possible before I tweeze and shape them.
So, for now, I'm just brushing them up and hoping that the hair that has grown in through here will actually even will fill in even more as I continue to use the new brow. And um but some of them are just out of control. But I will say that on this journey of letting my white hair grow in, the one thing that has changed with age is the color of my eyebrows. I was never one to dye them and I've always had some whites in there, but the hair that's growing in now with age is almost black or it's the darkest of browns. And sometimes I look at myself and I think I just hate those eyebrows. They're so harsh on my face right now. But there's not much you can do, but I do like using the Anastasia tinted brow gels on them. For one, it takes care of the white hairs. And this is all I do. I just go back and forth and try to stay off of the skin, but I do try to get all the baby brows because then that'll help to make my brows look thicker because your brows, if they're too harsh, can age you. If they're too thin, they can age us. So, they have to be perfect. Nothing's perfect, but we can give it our best shot. So, that's what I do. I just go in with a tinted brow and I try to avoid the new hairs that are growing so that I don't have just splotches, but I do try to get all the in between baby hairs that are growing in uh under the brow.
So, uh it's just a matter of sweeping it back and forth and I lift up so I don't rub the skin too much, but I am getting the skin a little bit because I want to get those baby brows And I make sure the brush doesn't have too much product on it. And then that's my brows. They're just so dark on my I might I I'm going to get my haircut next week. I might tell You got to do something about lightening these eyebrows up because they're really I don't like them. Okay, so now lips.
Let's see what we're going to do for lips. Okay, so I'm going to take the Mario and this is rich mauve.
Okay. So, this lipstick is from Merit and I put the Rich Mau on. So, we're going to go ahead.
This is a balm like lip.
It's very nice. It's kind of too matte for me and I don't like it. Don't like it.
So, okay. So, I didn't like this. I didn't even like the feel of it. It's too matte for my mouth. So, I don't like it. So, I'm just going to go over.
So, this is from Christian Dior. I I kind of like the finish of these. I know I do. So, this one here, I also like the Colleen Rosschild, but those are in the other room.
Much nicer. Yeah, I like that much better. Has just enough satin finish to it.
This here, I don't know if it was the color. Let me see the formula.
Yeah, it's it's got a little bit of a glow, but I prefer this one, and I like the feel of this better on my mouth.
Okay, so that is the finished look. The eyebrows are just I can't even stand looking at them. So, we shall see if the uh how the foundation holds up, how the shadow holds up with the primer on. How the whole face I mean most of this stuff is brand new for me except for the lip liner and maybe the lipstick now. But, um new products cream because I think they're more forgiving for an aging face. And we shall see how they hold up.
So, let's go. So, let's go ahead and take out these are called they are from they're called Dom and I'll show you when I take them out.
Now, a lot of people will they have problems removing their Velcro rollers.
If you go from underneath and move the hair out this way, you really should not have a problem removing them. So, you can see it just gives me my hair is very long, so I'm not going to get a lot of curl out of these. If it were shorter, I would. But you can see that it built volume up there. But I wanted you to see they are much wider than most. And they are completely metal inside. So you can put more hair on without it falling out. And you can take your blow dryer, heat the curl, and just leave them in and it will give you a lot of bounce. Now, my hair was not washed this morning. It was washed yesterday. I wanted to see how they work because I know a lot of people don't wash their hair daily. I wanted to see how they work. They do work better with fresh hair. For me, I got a lot of volume. But let's go ahead and just take them out. And now there are two in diameter. There are two different. I will show you. This one here is just a slight bit smaller. Again, just go up underneath and guide that hair out.
Okay. Now, this one here is the same width, but it's just a little bit smaller. So, I used those all on the top. So, let me go ahead and remove these. Okay. So, you can see I did get a little bit of volume. Not a lot, no curl because my hair is so long, but I am going for my cut this week. Uh, the set that I bought had four of each size and they're all different colors, purples and blues, but it's I'm not sure if they had other sizes available. And they also came with their own clips, but I didn't use the clips cuz I find anything with a clip, that's when my hair gets stuck.
So, I always just use the longer bobby pins. And uh, but the first time I used them, my hair really I had really nice volume of again, no curl is going to happen. You're just going to get straight hair with this, but you'll get a little bit of volume. And that is it for today's video. A quick makeup using all cream geared towards mature skin.
Again, I have dry skin, especially here in Buffalo. I have very dry skin. I am going to be 67 in November. And I don't have any procedures on my face. I do use a lot of good skin care. I do masking and I prep my skin before I do any sort of makeup. It is a must. Let us know in the comments section. Have you moved on to using mostly cream products for your skin or do you find them more difficult to work with? Many people do, but I hope I gave you a couple of tips in here that help you to get the job done, my friends. Okay, so we will be back to our organized videos after this week because I really just did my unpacking this morning of my makeup before my video.
>> That's it. That's today's look.
I I do have to say I think this foundation is very pretty. Let's take a look see. Let's take a look see how it's holding up. It's been what 25 minutes.
Um, okay. So, the under eye concealer is not going to work for me. You can see that the foundation so far is holding up really well. It's not creasing anywhere.
It's a very natural uh finish. And my eye shadow went on the same as it always does. And, you know, we'll see if it lasts. Although, when you're using a cream that dries down to a powder, you usually have there's a tendency for them to last a little bit longer. But if you have really oily eyelids, I really do hear that this is supposed to be fabulous for oily eyelids. And we'll see if the mascara flakes. I'll put a little annotation in here uh as I'm editing as to what was going on and um you guys can go from there. That's it for today's video. I'm going to let you get on out of here. If you haven't already subscribed, I would love to have you as an ageless beauty. Hit that subscribe button. Right next to it is the bell.
It's supposed to notify you of all the videos that I put up. Until the next time, my friends, go out in the world, be lovable, and remember, it is okay to love our age. I love you all.
