[00:00:02]Allah Azza wa Jal says in the Quran in many parts of the Quran wa aqimu salah.

[00:00:08]Allah Azza wa Jal doesn't just tell us if'alu or wa sallu nam he says wa aqimu salah.

[00:00:19]And the Arabic language depending on where the root letters come from a verb you understand the meaning of it. So for aqimu it comes from qawama.

[00:00:33]qawama Nam, so from the verb qawama and from these root letters there is many words that come with this meaning of of establishment. For example, when you go to an Arab country you say I need the iqama which means the residency. Why?

[00:00:48]Because you want to tuqim, you want to establish yourself in this country as in you want to stay and not move. You want to live, you want to reside.

[00:00:58]Nam, same thing with uh for example, there is an expression in Arabic when you say you say for example yogurt with honey and blueberries la yuqawam la yuqawam, i.e. nothing comes on top of it.

[00:01:17]This is like the top la yuqawam.

[00:01:22]So qawama is to establish something so it becomes so it become it has it becomes muqim. It doesn't move. So Allah Azza wa Jal tells us to to have that sort of relationship with as-salah as Muslims, not just pray but aqimu salah.

[00:01:42]Establish the prayer in your in your life. Have it as something that is the main pillar.

[00:01:50]It's not I I you know, I I be a I do whatever I have to do, I go and then if prayer comes, then comes salah.

[00:02:00]So, the word aqama is very different than Allah azza wa jal just is saying just saying salu.

[00:02:08]Na'am, so this something you can use on your day-to-day in your Arabic speaking. You say to someone, "Akhi, you you have to you have to establish this this work, not just Na'am, and and this why sometimes uh we use this word la buddan aquma bihi.
