Effective game development requires transparent and honest communication with the player community, as broken promises and delayed updates can lead to widespread community dissatisfaction and damage player trust, even when the game itself is well-received.

Helldivers 2 Makes Even More Excuses!Added:
Okay then, hell divers, we are back.
We've got loads to go over today as we have just received our success message for the latest major order, giving us the brand new cape, United in Equality, the cape that we managed to receive for something we did a year ago. We have also got a new major order coming into the mix, taking us over to the Automaton sector and causing us some chaos in the land of red. And we've got to talk a little bit about the community management team inside of Arrowhead Game Studios as it appears that they maybe, just maybe, don't quite understand what it is that's happening here. Let's see what it is that's going on. If you haven't already, smash that beautiful like button and subscribe with post notifications turned on. It'd be so greatly appreciated. And as usual, we are giving away super credits. If you want to get involved with that, it's very, very simple. Head down into the comments section and put in a fire emoji. Why? Because yet again, the whole of the place is being set on bloody fire. We'll be announcing that one tomorrow in the video. So, make sure you stay tuned to that one as well. Make sure that you head down to the chapters and utilize them to help you through the video carefully. With that being said, let's dive into the game. See what's happening right now in the realm of Arrowhead Game Studios and Hell Divers 2. So, starting off, we have now finally got our brand new cape, the United Equality. And when you look at the description of this, it states, "To honor the heartfelt siblinghood of the heroes who stood together, bled together, and laid down their lives together in defense of Equality on Sea.
All hell divers are rewarded one commemorative polyester cape. And this was obviously from the latest major order where you guys actually managed to achieve everything that they expected of you. And you've now received the cape for the Battle of Super Earth, the Defense of Equality on Sea." Yes, that's it. a commemorative cape that came 12 months after the actual event.
Absolutely wild to me. And not only that, but it is another purple cape.
Although it does look very, very cool indeed. It matches with borderline nothing. Man, if we can just get some purple armor at any point, maybe some of these capes may actually match up.
That's just my honest two cents. Let's dive into what else it is that's happening, cuz we've got a brand new major order briefing. And this one is well, quite an interesting one indeed.
As it takes us over towards the cyborgs.
It states right here that cyborgs have launched a coordinated offensive on K and Fury magma covered planets previously rested from the enemy at great cost. The hell divers are ordered to the immediate defense of these planets. The magma planets contain rich mineral resources and we exploited by the automatons prior to the liberation and returned to super Earth citizens.
Their extensive mining operations, it is now known, were critical to the synthetic production of the cyborgs.
Intel is scarce as the enemy's motive to reclaim these planets. Now, it is possible that they are running low on material to create these new cyborgs or seek to increase production, but all possibilities remain under consideration. The magma planets must be held at all cost. And as we can see right here on top of the table, we have got the two planets that we need to actually liberate. We have got to keep hold of K and we've got to keep hold of Fury. Now, we actually own both of them, although the two that are actually being attacked right now are Chopessa and Verilia 5. This is definitely an intriguing one as we are going to be obviously having to make sure that we keep hold of it and K specifically is looking like it's going to be one that is definitely targeted first with Chopessa and Verilia both taking line of sight to the planet itself. I would say that it's probably not long before that thing actually gets evaporated.
Nonetheless though, the rest of the table is pretty damn blanket and everything is as was. Nothing has really changed anywhere else. Although there are still bug divers on the bug side and there are squid divers on the illuminate. Moving on from that though, we have got to take a look at what it is that the game studio are doing as something tells me that they may be just maybe completely off the mark at the moment. What we seem to be seeing is that people are really really unhappy with the game. the way that the actual production seems to be going of the new updates, the way that they're actually pushing out the performance and the upscaling and the way that they just tend to handle what most things if I'm completely honest. Most players genuinely are not happy about it. And it's been stemming into negative reactions to most posts that go up on Discord. If we get a new update, it is getting downvoted with thumbs down left, right, and center. To be completely honest, pretty much every single one of them seem to be getting hammered right now with a down vote all of the time.
And it appears that this obviously niggled just one person in particular.
We managed to come across a post that went up on Reddit and this one did make me chuckle as this was on the Hell Divers unfiltered and it states they can't be serious. What is it that they could be talking about you ask? Well, the Baskinator has come to fruition and states, "When you thumbs down a major order post, you are thumbs downing me specifically just to hurt my feelings."
Now, this for me was a wild post, and I'm not too sure if she was in meme mode or however it is that she generally puts herself out in that in that general discord itself, but this one was so out of touch. I just don't understand why this was even something that was actually posted. I think if they were actually able to do what it is that they say that they do every single time they say that they're going to do it, then maybe the community wouldn't be on a massive rampant to thumbs down everything that's happening. Because realistically, you just kind of continue as if the community aren't saying what they're saying. It's wild to me that they seem to be making that move. It wasn't the only thing that she said though because she went into a bit more of a professionalism post if you will and she actually stated to somebody who was complaining heavily about the way that the game was Johan Pistat and his AMA and pretty much broke down everything inside of the Discord and the Basinator stated that okay jokey meme break response hat on and this is true that we have long-standing issues that need fixing and we community and support have been carrying a torch for those fixes for a long time. you aren't wrong there. When it comes to slowing down or changing releases or anything like that, it can be done to an extent, but we also have contracts and commitments and agreements, things way above my pay grade that stipulate development times and cycles. So, the team is trying to find a way to balance that with the big list of fixes that we've been yapping about for a long time. I know that's not a great answer, as in it doesn't contain solutions, but that's what I know right now. Now, this is where we need to be on the communicative table, and this is where we need to look at what it is that they're saying. They she can quite clearly state that they've been yapping about the same stuff for a long time, although contracts, agreements, and commitments genuinely tend to get in the way of getting those fixes done. That is absolutely fine if we are going to communicate those problems. The issue that we have at hand is that we have blog post after blog post and official statement after official statement saying that you are going to fix this and you're going to repair this and you're going to do this and you're going to alter this. And then in a singular message that managed to get two reactions on Discord, it's where you say that we're aware that these things have been on a big list for a long time, but unfortunately we've got other commitments that matter more to us and they are things that we have to stick to, which is why they're not being fixed. Don't tell us that they're being fixed if they're not actually being fixed. This is obviously a massive, massive oversight for a development studio who are well in over their head.
And in terms of actually being able to let us know these things, apparently they're actually trying to be able to do that. Now, I've been in the scene now for around two and a bit years. And for the entirety of the two and a bit years, I have heard this exact statement and it's never changed. Nothing's ever come from it. But the Baskinator stated that I'm always trying to get clearance to share things with players. But I do want to make sure that we aren't just doing random Discord messages and polls. It should be something accessible to everyone who plays the game, which is exactly what we've been telling you now for around 24 months. It's never changed. Nothing's ever come from it, and it's never going to get passed because you essentially have been trying to get clearance for these things for the last couple of years. I do not want to sit here and doom post the entire game and tell you that it's never going to stem to anything because this game just generally tends to have more than nine lives. No matter how many times you shoot it, it just doesn't seem to die.
It is definitely one of those games that will live on throughout the cadence of issues that it generally has time after time after time after time. But there has to come to a point where we look at this and really understand that it's not a bad game. It's just bad management.
It's just a difficult one to stem out.
And I want to know what your guys' opinions are in the comments section below because realistically, nobody cares what you had for dinner. Nobody cares what you had for lunch. What we care about are the things that are going on with our game. It's not that important. Let's just get to the bits that genuinely matter. Anywh who, I'm going to be leaving that one there.
We're going to go through your top comments from the previous video. I want to know in this video though what you think to all of this because I think there's only so much of it that the player base are willing to give out before they eventually get sick and tired of it as well. Unfortunately, we've been behind the scenes here as content creators for quite some time and we've been seeing this just tumble down and collapse the entire way through.
Unfortunately, Ego generally tends to get the better of people and it definitely does more than the actual game will. Let's see what it is that's being said right here. As the first coming from a channel states, I'm no longer surprised when they say that they will do something the opposite effect will happen. And unfortunately, that has been the case now for quite some time.
It's extremely infuriating. And I'm not too sure why it is that that's still a thing. Next one wrong here coming from Looper states, "Someone needs to rip off the IP and make it better." And unfortunately, I actually think you may be right. The fact that nobody has in two years though really confuses me.
You'll get a game like Fortnite that launched and did really, really well at the beginning and then people ripped it off within 6 months. It's so wild to me that nobody has ripped off Hell Divers over the last of 2 years. It blows my mind. The closest we've had is Far Far West and that was a little bit similar, but it wasn't overly similar that it was you knew that that's what they were copying. Do you know what I mean?
Anyway, this next one right here coming from Asberger. Brilliant bloody name by the way. Relax, guys. All the devs need is another 60-day fix and a vacation.
100%. where they've had six vacations since that message and unfortunately still no better off. Any who, unfortunately that's all we've got time for today. If you haven't already, like, subscribe, appreciate your faces and as always, I'll see you in the clouds.
