Think greenways, river buffers, wetlands, systems that clean water, cool air, and even calm the mind. Now you have filtration, heat mitigation, pollution mitigation, [music] mental health opportunities. In Athens, the community worked together to build the Oconee River Greenway, a connected [music] network of trails and preserved land that doubles as a flood barrier, wildlife corridor, and community lifeline. People come and experience it and begin to love it.
