This surreal film explores how identity and memory shape human conflict, presenting a philosophical riddle: 'Two brothers fight over a piece of bread, but they are not starving. Two brothers fight over money, but they are both rich. Two brothers fight for their lives, but they are both dead.' The narrative follows Adam, a man who cannot remember his brother's name or face, suggesting that our understanding of identity and relationships is constructed through memory and narrative, and that conflict often arises from psychological constructs rather than material needs.

>> No problem. It's not like I'm really private here, right?
>> Can I sit down? A working girl like me needs to rest her feet from time to time.
>> Sure.
>> So, what's your tragedy, honey?
>> Excuse me.
>> Oh, you know what I'm talking about.
>> Pretty bold question to ask a guy that you just met.
>> It's my job to be bold with guys that I just met.
That's my tragedy. What the [ __ ] do you mean?
>> You got that look on you. Everybody who went through some [ __ ] got that look.
>> And you know this because you also went through some [ __ ] Wait, don't tell me.
Of course you did. Why else would you start a conversation like this?
>> I just hear you avoiding my question.
After all this time and all the people that I told my story, now I got the chance to open up my heart to a [ __ ] prostitute that caught me sleeping on a bench.
>> Oh, blah blah blah blah. Well, tell this prostitute your story. Maybe she could help you.
>> What? Got something for stray dogs?
>> Maybe. Yes. Now tell me your [ __ ] story.
>> [ __ ] All right.
All right.
I lost my brother.
What do you mean with lost?
>> Well, one day I got home and he was gone.
Since then, I'm looking for him, but it's difficult. I can't find him.
>> Well, what's his name? I know lots of names around here.
>> What? Are we stubbing again?
>> I forgot it.
>> You forgot what?
>> I forgot his name.
>> What?
I've been looking in so many different places. I don't know how many. I drift from place to place. But >> did somebody hurt you?
>> No. No. All the people that I met were very, very friendly. But this was difficult because I asked them if they saw my brother, but there are no pictures of him and me.
>> Why not?
>> They disappeared.
All of the pictures went blank and I forgot how he looks like.
I was looking in so many different places and the poem that I got from him is the only thing that he left for me. But I know I just know that I will know that it's him if I see him. I swear.
>> Honey, do you have a place to stay yet?
>> What do you want me to stay with you?
I would prefer that. Then we could talk a bit more about your brother and we could also look for him tomorrow, you know, and know my way around this town.
So, >> better than nothing, I guess.
>> My apartment is not far from here. Let's go.
[ __ ] My place is so messy.
>> I don't give a [ __ ] It's a place. All right.
>> I see. A man with no standards. I like that.
>> Lady, I'm really grateful for your help and I appreciate your kindness, but you definitely talk too much [ __ ] >> Oh, we got a feisty one here. But you'll have to tolerate my big map if you want to stay here.
>> Yeah, I guess you're right.
>> I forgot to ask. What is your name?
>> You can call me Kate.
Is that your real name?
>> Maybe, maybe not. Does it matter to you?
>> No.
>> So, what's your name?
>> Adam.
>> Okay, Adam.
When was the last time you saw your brother?
>> Don't know.
>> Well, how long has it been?
>> Maybe years.
Can you remember the last time you saw him?
>> No.
>> Okay. Well, did he do something special for a living? Was he a truck driver, a salesman, or I guess he was a soldier. They told me he was dead, but he came back and we talked or we fought.
I can't remember. But after a while, he was gone.
H >> That's not really helpful.
>> Oh, I know a guy who could help you.
He's a weird strange cat, I tell you.
But he knows literally everything.
>> So, what does this guy do for a living?
>> Nothing, actually.
He spends his time at the lake. He observes the water.
>> Sounds a little bit autistic to me, huh?
>> Oh, but he's an interesting [ __ ] >> Good for you, I guess.
>> All right, Mr. Grumpy. Grumpy, you need to go to sleep. Tomorrow, we start our big adventure.
Good night, soldier.
I thought that you might need something before our big adventure.
>> Thank you.
Thanks, Kate. This is really delicious.
>> Kate, you silly you.
>> Adam, today is a perfect day for ice cream.
>> Ice cream? Now I don't want ice cream.
>> Oh, but I want ice cream. Please >> look, we can get the ice cream after we talk with your guy. Okay.
>> No, I want ice cream now.
>> But we have to see him.
>> No, I just said that I want ice cream now. Listen to me.
>> But I don't.
>> So, Adam, I want ice cream.
Okay, where's the point?
>> I want that ice cream right now.
>> Lady, what the [ __ ] is your problem?
>> You're right. We can also get it afterwards.
>> Adam, do you have a sweet story for me?
>> Let's see. Once I thought that I found my brother, but he was just some random guy. He pied me and he gave me 50 bucks and I spent it all on a six-pack, weed, and a train ticket to some city.
>> That's a sweet story indeed.
>> You're a strange lady. Really strange.
>> That is why you love me.
>> What?
>> I can't wait to tell the girl at the office about you.
>> Office? What [ __ ] office? the place where I make money. Plus, >> I thought you were a hooker.
>> Oh my god, you're so funny.
>> Kate, listen. I really think that you need some help.
>> You scared?
>> Oh, that's the office. I have to take that.
Hello.
Yes. Yes. Okay. I'll be right there, boss.
Are you the guy that Kate was talking about?
>> Kate, is it Monday?
>> So, you're also a loony?
>> No, my name is Mike for today.
>> [ __ ] it. Seriously, do you even know who you are?
>> Yes, I'm Mike.
Today you talk with Mike.
>> [ __ ] it, Mike. I need your help.
>> I can't I cave.
>> Everybody comes to me with their problems. K tells them that I can do wonders. I can't do that.
The lake doesn't.
Why is it a magical lake or >> No, the lake calms you down, makes you forget.
Listen, I'm so [ __ ] tired. I searched an eternity for my brother.
I searched for so long.
My memor is all fuzzy.
And why is still searching?
>> I need to tell him something important.
>> What?
>> Something important. I guess once there was a soldier.
He was fighting for his life in a war that nobody needed but everybody wanted.
His job was to load explosive rounds into the rusty burrow of a cannon.
One day he decided to flee.
He didn't know where to, but he just wanted to escape the slaughterhouse.
So he took his gun and shot his comrades who wanted to stop him.
At this point he didn't even consider them as comrades because he saw them like he saw everybody in this war.
Some form of subhuman still risking their lives fighting their wars.
Eventually he fought his way to a peaceful country.
He came to this town and became a priest, a good priest.
Three years ago, he died from an unknown disease.
Before he died, he told me this.
Two brothers fight over a piece of bread, but they are not starving.
Two brothers fight over money, but they are both rich.
Two brothers fight for their lives, but they are both dead.
My brother is dead.
>> Yes, he died as a good priest.
Well, at least I know now.
At least I can go on.
Where Where is he buried?
>> He's buried together with some soldiers.
Nameless grave. He was only known to us as the priest.
>> Where's the cemetery?
>> Next to K's apartment.
You are fun.
Thank you.
I talk to the girls about you.
Did you know that my brother is dead?
>> They tell me Lara, your boyfriend has an obsession with his non-existent brother.
How can he even forget his name? Lara.
>> He was a priest. A damn priest.
>> Tell me he has some sort of childhood trauma that he pushes away with imaginary brother.
>> All those years of searching just to find out that he was a [ __ ] priest.
You >> tell me that you reverted back to being a kid or some [ __ ] He was an atheist. Should I believe in God now?
>> They tell me that you lost your sex drive.
Don't you think I'm hot anymore? Am I too fat or too thin? Or maybe both?
Is it because I refuse to have anal sex with you?
>> Lady, shut the [ __ ] up. You need to see a doctor.
>> It's always the same with you, man. You all have an obsession with my ass. It already started in high school with this guy who just stop. Who are you? What are you doing? You stupid [ __ ] Talk to me. Listen to me. Look at me. You stupid piece of [ __ ] Now you're also ignoring me. What is this? What is this?
You stupid [ __ ] I hate you. You're an [ __ ] You [ __ ] Hi, Adam. It's good to see you all fresh. Are you ready for the session?
>> Listen, if this is something to do with the girls from the office, I swear.
>> What girls, Adam?
>> You came in here yesterday. And what is your name?
>> My name is Myra.
>> Hello, Myra.
>> Hi, Adam. Are you ready for the session?
>> Yes.
Can we talk about your childhood?
>> How?
>> What was it like?
>> Good, I guess.
>> Good.
>> Yeah. My parents were fine people. My brother and I got enough love.
>> What role did your brother play in your life? I looked up to him.
>> And did he treat you well?
>> Yes.
>> How come then that you two are separated now?
>> I don't know. He just disappeared.
And how do you feel about that?
Do you feel empty?
Yeah, dumb question. He's dead. Doesn't matter anymore.
>> I think you need to grieve Adam. You need to appreciate his life, who he was, cherish his deeds, and continue with your own journey.
You're stronger than you think. You can do that.
But I don't even know who he was. The the poem is all I got.
Perhaps you came here to finally let go.
It is no coincidence that you admitted yourself into the clinic.
>> Yeah, maybe that must be your uncle.
Yeah, right. My uncle.
>> Go on, open the door.
Hey, pal. How are you doing?
>> Oh, hey.
>> I see you two doing a really good work here.
>> Yeah.
>> Paul wants you to come with him for a while. It's good for you since you both have such a good relationship.
We need to have a talk from man to man.
>> Okay, Uncle Paul.
So, I see you got her run a bit.
>> Yeah, quite a bit.
>> The lady treats you good, right?
>> Really good. I'm cured. All right.
>> Well, you're strong, my boy. I for myself couldn't handle being shot by family, you know.
>> A [ __ ] tragedy. What the [ __ ] are you talking about?
What are you talking about?
>> Listen, I don't even know why I'm in the looney bin.
>> You're trying to forget that. I know, but boy, you bore us ahead.
>> Okay, let's cut the [ __ ] right here. How the [ __ ] can you even be my uncle? I never saw you in my life until yesterday.
>> Stuff like that is possible, you know.
>> And your name? It's not Paul. It's Mike.
>> Who the hell is Mike?
>> [ __ ] this [ __ ] I'm gone.
>> No. Wait, boy. We are here. This is the glaze.
>> By God, what is going on?
>> You need to listen to me clearly.
Do not blow up my operation.
>> What?
Mike told you some [ __ ] yesterday. And I know that you are not happy, but he wanted to protect me.
Protection from what?
>> Listen, your brother is alive.
>> But no, but I know where he lives. I've been monitoring him for ages. What the [ __ ] did he do?
>> He is a former CIA operative.
We don't know why he's here, but he operates you on his own behalf.
>> I need to see him.
>> Sure.
But only from far away. No, no, no. I need >> If he catches a climbs of you or me, he will be gone.
>> I'll have to kill you. If that happens, >> okay, I accept your conditions.
>> Remember, do not approach them.
>> I understand.
Paul, this is absurd. We're in a [ __ ] town in a state of nowhere higher with a population consisting of what? Cows, crazy people, and a dead clergyman. So, what's to meddle here?
>> It's classified.
>> Classified. Yeah. So, did the mayor of the Shito sell weapons to the Russian mafia in order to finance armed rebels in the neighboring town because other mayor didn't wish him happy birthday?
>> What? It was just a joke.
>> They sent you, didn't they?
>> All right, you got me. Headquarters sent me.
>> Dang it. I don't need help from you guys.
>> Top tier doesn't care about that.
>> Top tier can go [ __ ] their stupid faces.
I've been on his ass for too long. And this is the problem. We need results fast.
>> Fast. [ __ ] fast. We need quality.
Quality stuff on Indo for high treason.
I got a strategy. What do you got?
>> I got green light from top tier.
>> But you got no green light to notice.
>> Calm down. We are just two random guys arguing over something.
You know what?
We need to work together or he will outsmart us. They sent you here for a reason and I need to respect that.
>> I'm honored to work with you.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Yeah.
Heat.
Kind of spooky, isn't it?
>> Already cozy. But wait, Paul, >> what?
>> What the [ __ ] are we doing here?
>> We're tracking him down.
>> But don't you think that this could be a Gentlemen, what do we have here? The two most idiotic operatives that I ever had the displeasure to witness.
>> It is It is his fault.
>> It's his fault, no doubt. Yet, it was you that went along with this moronic story.
>> What do you mean?
>> Didn't you notice? Or did you just stop caring for the truth? I'm looking for my brother and he told me that it's you.
>> We're all looking for our brothers, Vetty. As a matter of fact, I'm looking for my brother, too.
>> Though I don't think it's you.
>> Who else could I be?
>> One of them. Part of the solution boy, part of the trap. You could be anyone really yet. It doesn't matter who you are. I don't even recall my brother's name.
>> But I thought, what I know is >> you know nothing.
Do yourself a favor, boy. Get lost.
>> I think my brother is alive.
>> How come?
>> I saw him today.
>> Okay. How?
So Paul was not my uncle but a secret agent wanted to cover up some state affair and the guy we tracked down knew about that. So we fell into his trap.
He said that he's looking for his brother but he doesn't remember him.
>> Take these after waking up.
Okay, now let's go to sleep.
>> Okay.
So the liar, huh? I'm not going to take these pills.
Whoa. Easy with that >> [ __ ] nuisance. Why are you stalking me?
>> Why are you stalking me?
>> I'm not stalking you. I've never even seen you.
>> Of course you do.
>> What do you want? Want to [ __ ] me? Want to rape me?
>> What is your name?
>> What?
>> Your name?
>> You're stalking me for my name?
>> Just tell me your name.
>> Why should I?
>> If you tell me your name, you can shoot me. shoot you.
>> I always knew that you wanted to shoot me. This is part of our family, right?
And here's the deal. If you tell me your name, you can shoot me.
>> Man, you're nuts.
>> What is your name?
>> Why do you even want to know?
>> Tell me. Shoot me and tell me. Do it. Do what you always wanted to do. Shoot me.
Shoot me. Shoot me.
The name is Paul.
Paul.
[ __ ] Paul.
Getting shot for [ __ ] Paul.
Mommy is right here.
>> You scared your old man and your mom real good.
>> Who shot you?
>> It's It's my fault.
>> Did you want his name again?
>> Yes. And I got it.
>> Was it worth it?
>> No. I I still feel empty. Listen, son. Your brother, he's our product. We made him what he is today.
>> No, you don't have to be.
>> Shut the [ __ ] up, son.
Anyway, we love you more. We prefer you.
>> You're nice.
>> You're more of a man than him. You look better.
>> You're smarter.
>> You're better in bed.
>> You have a bigger penis.
>> And the women you [ __ ] look better.
>> And you know, we kept his name a secret and erased your memory.
It's better that way.
>> But I I want to have a good relationship with my brother.
>> Well, in that case, Sorry for shooting you.
I'm so glad that mom and dad told me the truth. In their name, I want to apologize to you. Nobody should be treated like you.
>> No, I was treated just the way I deserve to be treated. I'm a piece of [ __ ] You are better than me. You always were.
I'm a leech. Whilst you are God.
>> Paul, why are you like that?
>> Paul, I'm Adam.
What happened?
>> Is coming.
We will all die.
>> Why did he do that? Two >> brothers fight off a piece of bread.
I dare but not starving.
Two brothers fight over money, but they're both rich.
Two brothers fight for their lives, but they're both the hell.
Don't you hear the sound of Why did I come here?
Was it destiny? I know it was some sort of trick. A trick of them to tell me that he is me and I am him. He's Adam and I am Adam. Maybe I committed some sort of horrendous crimes against my own flesh and blood and that is why I'm here. The towns the town symbolized my crimes. It must be this way. Is it? Can you speak to me somebody? What is the meaning of all this? Tell me. Tell me.
Tell me.
Hey, hey, hey.
Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Hey, heat. Hey, heat.
Hello there.
Lovely to see you, brother.
