Do you know the first black public high school that outperformed every white school in America? Dunbar High School, founded [music] in 1870, built success on discipline, not money.

[00:00:20]Graduates went to Harvard, Amherst, and Brown every year. When segregation ended in 1954, [music] the government weakened Dunbar. Students were scattered, teachers were pushed out, white schools got resources, [music] Dunbar got leftovers. It was dismantled, not broken. Dunbar proved that black excellence is real.
