How to Counter BROKEN Auraliax META - Ark Survival Ascended

[00:00:02]What's up again, YouTube? Welcome back to another video. I know this is the one everybody is going to be waiting on.

[00:00:08]Everybody's actually going to be excited about because I have officially found the counter for the Aureliacs in open world PVP. It is a little bit sketchy at the moment and does require a little bit of precision, timing, and possibly an assistant. uh by yourself, it's not going to be doable because then you will easily easily die or get countered. But I have figured out how you can counter these freaking OP dragons, man. And I finally have the strat for you guys. So, we're going to jump into it today. I also have a counter for the dragons when it comes down to fighting them inside your towers. So, on defense, I have it for the defense and I also have it for offensive. So, let's get right into it.

[00:00:58]So, let's get into the defense ones first for when you are defending inside of your own structures, which is if you have towers, uh if you are defending like your base and you're being pushed, then you have turret coverage. So, it makes it a little bit different. The way how you are going to counter them during this time is going to be with was turrets. And no, the was not to kill the Aureliacs because it takes so long to kill them. It's more so the was turret is going to be used to slow and stop the earlax from being able to pick you up because what the was turret does is does it does interference that stops people from being able to pick you which is going to be the first one. This is nothing crazy. Everybody who plays Arc already knows this. So this is nothing that you need to worry about. Secondly, reapers do not do anything to the Aureliacs because they don't technically land.

[00:02:02]So they do not get grounded.

[00:02:05]That is number two. So note to self, Reaper do not ground Aelia. One of the biggest counters to the Aurelia is they take extremely a lot of damage from fire wyverns. I have found fire wyverns actually cook them a lot. But the problem with this is when you are fighting an Aurelia, they will pick you so quickly that it makes it so difficult for you to get the chance to do enough tick damage to them to kill them. So where does this leave you? You need a real counter. This is how you counter them. The Malowin. The Malowin is the counter for the Aurelia.

[00:02:49]The Malwin can do a damage stacking buff. And I'm so sorry I don't have a clip of it. I was actually fighting against some players and I saw the way they did this and I was like, "Yo, this is the counter." The Malwin does a stacking buff that lets the Aurelia take 20. I don't know if it's 20% more damage or it's 20 times, but whatever the 20 stack is, it allows the earlax to take that much damage. And also, if you get 20 stacks on it, you can ground the Aureliacs, which makes it takes hella fall damage if they don't realize, which is one way you can counter them. A second way to counter them is a old strat that nobody is using today, but was a very, very big strat back in the day, which is going to be the mammoth.

[00:03:39]The mammoth stops you from getting picked if someone is on the warard drums on the back of the mammoth. So by not being able to get picked off, you can essentially fight against the Aurelia without having to worry about whether or not you're going to get picked. And the mammoth buff is only for 10 seconds. And that will be one of the ways that you can counter the Aelia in in that sense where you can't get picked off. But the main way that I have found for countering them at the moment in open world PVP is going to be one the lightning wyvern, two the fire wyvern.

[00:04:22]The lightning wyvern can knock them out because it does a lot of torp especially if you have good lightning wyverns. The fire wyvern does a lot of damage to them because fire wyverns do a lot of damage do increased damage to carnivores which is percentage based. I think it's like 5% but I will double check this and then I'll put it in the comments just to ensure that I'm giving you accurate information.

[00:04:46]And then the most OP way that I have found but this is a twoman strat is to overweigh yourself.

[00:04:55]Overweigh yourself. If you are overweighted, at least 5 to 6,000 lbs, I would use crystal or you can make weight cakes. This is something that people forgot that they're able to do is you can make weight cakes from stone, metal, whatever it is. And then by making weight cakes, you can have weight cakes in your inventory and then when you get picked, the Aureliacs cannot move. And if you have a glon on your shoulder, the glon will start killing the Aureliacs.

[00:05:26]The gluten actually does so much damage to the Aureliacs that it is crazy. But this is a twoman job. The reason why I say this is because one, if you get picked and the person you are fighting has a buddy, his friend will kill you because you cannot get out of the claws while you are overweighted. There is no way for you to grapple out because grapples will not work because you are overweighted. it will just keep cutting your grapples.

[00:05:58]You need to have a partner with you either on a lightning wyvern, uh, griffin or a bat to pick the Aurelia rider off. And by picking the earax rider, it will release you from the claws or you need to disconnect and reconnect, but at that time you will be overweighted. That is how I have personally found that we have been able to counter the early axis by just letting him going up with a tech suit, bait the pick, get picked, and then you can have a friend tech punch him or you can have a friend zap him with the lightning wyvern. Sometimes when he gets zapped with the lightning wyvern, you don't get zapped because the Aurelia's hitbox is so big. But that is how I personally found to counter it.
