In EVE Online, successful players balance calculated risks with strategic rewards by running multiple accounts (typically 2-8 for effective gameplay), where each account serves specialized roles like combat, mining, or hauling, and players must weigh the potential gains against the costs of ship loss and replacement when making strategic decisions.

All The Arkanor Belongs To Me - EVE Online 2988Added:
So, I walked away and the uh rats appeared. I knew a player could appear and, you know, attack my other ship here or something like that or whatever, but now I've got these guys have appeared and they are shooting my um They're shooting They're shooting my ship. He's holding up okay so far, but let's take care of him here.
There's always a risk when walking away.
Um you know, you you got a risk versus reward. I mean, how much you know, I walked away for 3 minutes and so how much of um you know did I make over that 3 minutes? Is it worth the risk of of what it costs, you know, to replace the ship or whatever?
Um So, uh it's like I take risks, but they're a little bit calculated. Like it's been pretty quiet in the system, but then here comes uh you know same time we got somebody else that just popped in here that So, we are exiting because of this person who has come into the system. Oh, he's gone now. Okay, so this All right, so he he went on through.
Maybe he thinks I'm bait and leaving me alone.
Fighting with marauder escort, yeah.
All right, so I'm back in here again.
And then All right.
We'll watch and see if this guy comes back in. He he could be a real sign of trouble.
Um How much would a launchable compression thing need to cost for it to be not to be unbalanced?
Uh But basically uh it needs the cost of a porpoise and the module for it and that's that's what it currently is.
Launchable meaning launches from the ship. Uh there is no such thing.
And I don't know if there ever will be.
Um Nor would you want to anchor something out here like that. I mean, you're already anchoring your ship when you turn that stuff on.
So, Okay, so that guy Let's see if he comes back.
He just flew through once before and um So, All right, let's see here.
This also if I was just going to use this as a pickup ship I could just uh put a uh cloak on him.
If I wanted to be able to cloak him up.
Well, just waiting to pick stuff up.
Kind of like I cloaked my marauder out there on the field.
You need an alt just to do compression?
Well, I think that mining really you should probably do it in a group and not solo.
I mean, and if you're going to commit to mining solo I mean I figure my my estimation is you need at least seven accounts to start to be effective.
Um You know, that's it's quite a few, right?
I can do that here.
I've got eight that are on you know, logged in right now.
Um but it's not uh it's not what I go for with recommendations because the way that I'm playing is a lot more power player than than normal player.
So, um So, you know, I I keep in mind that you know most people play with just one account.
Um if I were to pair things down, I would probably play with two accounts.
That'd probably be my happy medium.
And that way I could have one combat and one industrial or one hauler or whatnot, you know, at the same time.
Something like that.
So, and Pipe Gunner says he runs five accounts.
One booster and four hulks.
So, yeah, you know, it's all a matter of economics and, you know, how much um you have to spend in entertainment funds because in the end when you're playing EVE and everything, you're using you know, if you're paying for your accounts and stuff, you're using entertainment money.
Um it's not a requirement.
It um you know, it's uh It's not.
So, always need a cyno alt. Well, if you are doing any cyno stuff, a cyno alt is very nice to have. Yes.
So, you know, it just all depends on what you're comfortable with, what you you know, Welcome to the dragons. Hobo masher just followed.
Um there's there's a lot of factors in it and, you know, and then the more alts you get, the better the computer you need, you know, and stuff.
I mean, you can play in potato mode.
There There is a mode where it only shows icons. Like the background is actually black.
And it only shows the icons out here like where the mobile depot is, where this bookmark is, you know, where the asteroid is, all that stuff.
And so, you can you can really pair down you know, how much resources are needed.
And it's almost like playing in text mode.
Um Now, I I've I loaded up an account once in that mode and I I found it fascinating, but it's not for me. I especially when I do it on the shows, it is full graphics or nothing. But in order to do eight accounts full graphics at 1080p each um that's that's, you know, a lot of horsepower. So, um Yeah.
So, and you 5 gunner says $80 a month for you to enjoy yourself is so worth it. Yeah, well, 80 80 dollars in entertainment funds for most people, you know, you you'd be like, "You sure?
Yeah." [clears throat] You know?
Um So, disagree.
You know, it's all a matter of perspective for each person.
So, Yes, per hour goes up very fast once you have a orca mining barge and mining barges. Yeah.
I don't doubt it.
All right, so this guy It's Yeah, we got 5.1 million in loot. How nice.
Pick this stuff up.
And then we shall fly up to different spot and go sit out of the way.
The more accounts you run, the more ISK you can make. And you know, there is I would say that there is some sort of equation on that that the the more accounts you run, the more you can plex accounts.
And so, um you know, I I have a crazy number. I have 21 omega accounts right now.
Um but, how many am I actually paying for? I think I'm paying for seven.
And the rest are all plexed.
And uh so, I'm leveraging their use to make enough money to do that and still have money left over to um to buy other things. So, um you know, it's it gives you it gives you more more ability to do stuff like that.
Definitely pound for pound, definitely uh have to at least two accounts. Yeah, you know, I like one for combat stuff that focuses on combat, one that focuses on say logistics first, like can fly a ship to haul stuff around, whether that's your loot to get it to market or whether that's other supplies you need to buy at the market to haul, you know, wherever.
And um then you know, go into um you know, once you got your transportation worked out, then you know, maybe some industry stuff, so you can take advantage of some of the stuff that you got uh with your other character and, you know, start maybe manufacturing your own ammo or um you know, stuff like that.
Um I I think I think two accounts is a very favorable number.
So, yeah.
What does the game play look like when I have all accounts running in a session?
Um Let me see here.
I'm cleaning up my screens so I can show you.
Here's what it looks like.
It looks like this and this, all running on the same machine.
And um And let's see here.
There it is.
Four here, four here.
And it's uh the biggest Intel CPU available right now and a 5090 um video card. Actually, it's got two video cards in. It's got a 5090 and a 4070, I think, is the other one.
So, now I'm I'm I'm not your normal player. So, um definitely definitely don't claim to be a normal um player, so.
Yeah.
What size monitors?
I'll show you.
So, on the game system is this monitor over here, this one and this one.
This one's an actual monitor, the the one all the way at the left on the bottom. It's 27-in 4K. I don't run it at 4K, I run it like 1440p, though.
And then in the right in front of me here is a 50 um 50-in monitor.
OLED. It's a real monitor.
And which means it's it was insane in the price, 2,000 somewhat dollars.
Over here is much cheaper, this one.
This is a 52-in television that has good response time when connected to HDMI for PC.
And the, you know, another one up here is uh 52-in and another one up here is 47 and then that's 27. And then two more 27s over there and I've got a laptop here, too.
So, um that is the um that's the setup. It's multiple computers.
Not just one computer.
And um but all the games are running on one computer.
The broadcast is running on a second computer, the music and stuff.
So, um but you can use TVs as long as they have a good enough response time. If the TV is OLED, it it has it has great response time.
Um and so, um but OLED costs more.
And so, you know, All right, get this one.
But uh OLED mostly I don't think you have to worry about the response time, whereas on LCD you do.
So, uh what happens if you don't have really great response time is your your mouse feels sloppy.
Like you move it and then it trails behind where you're moving.
And um so, you got kicked out of Horde? Well, good for you.
Like Horde is nothing now.
All right, we got somebody else in here, too.
So, see what we got here.
We got multiple unknowns in here.
Probably not going to be I I just didn't recognize their names, but I don't I don't think they're going to be a problem.
Run 4K and sometimes text is too small.
Yeah, I recommend at least a 32-in monitor if you are running 4K at minimum. And then you got to be close to it and you got to have really good eyes.
So, the 27s that I have, uh I bought them 4K monitors and I thought, "Oh, this is going to be great." Well, it turns out that the text is just too small when you're running at 4K.
So, um you know, wasn't that great after all.
>> We're going to finish this asteroid and then I'm going to go see if I've got blueprints for the other couple of uh parts that I'm missing.
The The blueprints are held by this character who does no manufacturing whatsoever.
What do you think about the Otis Samsung Odyssey G9?
Um I don't know.
I don't know.
Um the um big monitor here that I've got that cost so much.
It's uh an MSI monitor, I think, if I remember right.
And um but it's made by Samsung, I think.
And um it looks amazing.
It's really nice.
But um you know, it's um crazy expensive. That's why I only have one of them.
Sparky, hello back.
West Coast.
You know, I just released a song called Sparky.
It's on the Drone Daddy album.
Where is response time hurts on TV?
Part of it.
>> [singing] >> If you go OLED, I don't think you have to worry about it.
Bet you didn't know you had your own song there, Sparky.
Oracle win? I don't know.
I have the skills to fly one. I have the money to buy one.
But I don't know.
I mean, if you don't mind being an Amar drone, The OLEDs, though, see they have like sub milli 2 millisecond response time type stuff.
So >> [music] >> any new TVs I buy for use with computers will all be OLEDs.
>> [music] >> Compress. Wait.
Can I compress it?
No.
I didn't think so.
All right, jettison.
>> [music] >> My other guy, I'll pick it up in a little bit.
What's this [music] song?
It's from the Drone Daddy album that came out yesterday. Exclamation point music.
>> [music] >> Should I go fire up the out the whole album?
Let's do that.
Why not?
>> [music] >> Yeah, so here's here's the Drone Daddy album.
With the words.
Uh Tygan drone?
I'm going to I'm going to miss the yacht. Welcome.
Finish this last asteroid.
Then go find those other blueprints I need.
You buy songs on iTunes? You cannot.
I'm working on getting the stuff on iTunes, but it's a little bit more complicated. I only have part of my stuff there.
>> [music] >> You can buy on Amazon and download them, though.
>> [music] >> treats so [music] sweet. name so cute, can't be beat.
This album took over a year to completely finish.
All right, we got Oops, I forgot the music stops whenever I switch screens.
>> [laughter] >> All right.
I'll have to watch from this.
From this end here.
Yeah, if I want the words on the screen, it's per scene.
I got to figure out how to do that better. I'm working on it.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> It's no more warping in.
>> [singing and music] [music and singing] >> Replenish the vexer market. Well, not quite vexers, [music] but you know.
Lavan.
>> [singing] >> Yeah, that's that's big. 124 months.
At tier three.
Y'all ready for a lot of a lot of gold?
62,000 gold everybody here in Lavan's honor.
There we go.
Uh, Lavan, I uh, will be in Seattle for PAX [music] West.
That'll be September.
Labor Day weekend.
Naggie, uh-oh.
>> [music] >> Yeah, well, that's going to cause something else to happen now, isn't it?
I'll pause the music here for just a minute. 70 months from Naggie.
3,500 gold to everybody here in your honor.
Thank you, Naggie.
And where does that put us?
Wow, we completed hype train level one already because Lavan's was a tier three sub.
So, there will be a giveaway. Exclamation point giveaway. We'll do it uh, after the end of this episode.
There we go. And Shosendar, another 500 bits. How about another 500,000 gold?
Everybody here in your honor. So, thank you, thank you.
And we'll uh, continue on. Oh, level two completed. Okay, so there is no level two giveaway.
>> [laughter] >> I got to fix that. You know, maybe we hit level three. Level level three is what? 100 plex? Level four, 250 plex?
Yeah. So, all right. No matter what, we're going to have a giveaway at the end of this episode and we'll continue on with the Drone Daddy album here.
>> [singing] >> This album dropped yesterday.
Exclamation point [music] music.
Find you closer you get some to September you get some time off. All right. If you want to go to PAX with me, you can.
I don't know if you've ever been before.
Geek out over video games. I mean, I'll be working it, but >> [music] >> Got this rock half done.
>> [singing] >> Never been. All right.
I'll message you.
>> [music] >> That's it.
So, check that before I forget what I'm doing and let it get full, right?
Those cans will sit out there for about two hours before they despawn.
Huh.
>> Stefan >> [singing] >> Now you can rename them. Yeah.
Oh, Wax Guy.
All right.
He subscribed right at the last minute.
Right when the right when it ended.
All right, so we'll count it as having hit level three since there's no level two giveaway.
In honor of Wax Guy's 69 months of a sub 3,450 more gold to everybody here.
Wax Guy's honor.
And so we'll do that draw in between episodes.
>> [singing] >> Returning to bay.
So after I get these other little components built then uh I'll have enough of everything that next week I can feel the fleet. Now I'm going to have to figure out which characters that's going to be.
But I'll be able to feel the fleet of um six or seven.
Probably six.
Cuz I'll keep combat on field, too.
So six barges six barges and then um a booster, compressor combat.
Yeah.
The hot goblin song.
>> [music] [music] >> Anything you guys want, welcome.
>> [music] [music] >> I love this song.
I'm biased, but you know.
>> [music] >> Kosher Ham Thank you, buddy.
160 gold to everybody here in Kosher Ham's honor.
>> [music] >> It's been a while. It has been a while.
Welcome back.
>> [music] [music] [music] [singing] >> This one is Sparky.
Huh.
Kosher Ham, I don't know what to do with all my channel points, so I choose to highlight this useless message.
>> [laughter] >> Perfect.
>> [music] [music] >> Drones love nanite treats.
>> [music] >> What do you do with the gold?
Exclamation point dancers.
>> [music] [laughter] [music] >> Want to buy hype train music clip.
Sparky Not available.
>> [music] >> Wait, these drones don't look very coordinated.
Yeah, I see the guy in system.
Not too worried about him at the moment.
Yeah, I I'm okay with this hostile in system.
>> [music] [singing] >> Just about got this asteroid done.
All right, that one is done.
And then we're going to grab just a little bit of this bistort.
I want to see what uh comes of it.
And we got to we got to honor the uh spinny salvage drone here.
He just He just doing his thing.
One of my favorite [music] songs on the album is the next one.
Serping's a lot.
>> [music] >> He's a little salvage drone like this guy here.
He dreams of one day salvaging a titan.
>> [music] [music] >> It was I dream.
>> [music] [music] [singing] [music] >> Finish this cycle and then dump this out.
>> [screaming] >> The care phoenix.
That's not worth as much.
All right.
Jettison.
And then warp to station.
>> [music] [music] >> I have to leave some of the ore behind.
>> [snorts] >> All right.
So, looks like I have a little bit of ore in here.
>> [music] >> Okay.
>> [singing] [screaming] >> Will the Orca fit in a Rhea? No, it will not.
I think it's Is it 1 million cubic meters packaged? I think so.
>> [music] >> A Charon fully cargo expanded will fit in there.
>> [music] >> All right.
So, I'm looking for multi-spectrum.
I don't I can't believe I don't have any multi-spectrum blueprints. Are you serious?
>> [screaming] >> All right, I guess I don't.
>> [screaming] >> Mining laser upgrades.
I don't have that either.
Mm, okay.
So, Mm.
Let's see if they're available in here.
Yeah.
What's the state of the game? The state of the game is excellent, Damber.
Sky cat live.
All right.
Thanks for the kudos.
All right, so the multi-spectrum shield hardener blueprint.
I don't know what I'm going to do about this.
I only want blueprint originals.
All these copies are trying to sell.
Damn.
All right, let's see here.
Number of jumps away.
>> [singing] >> 41 jumps every shore.
>> [singing] >> Got to be blueprint original.
All the way up in 38 jumps away.
Is it trained?
It's not.
Oh, it is. It's 1020. Why didn't it show that when I hovered it?
So far away.
I wonder what it cost originally.
I almost wonder if I just find these someplace and train them myself.
It's an awful long way to fly for these.
And it's it's a kind of a dangerous route.
Oh, it's up Next 21 jumps if I want safety.
10K in Jita? Not for a blueprint original.
And This this this is the system right here that's so dangerous to go through in a shuttle.
A blueprint original.
In Jita for 10K.
No, that's just [ __ ] Really?
Link is being freeze all. Yeah, I I can't click that link even if you tell me it's that cuz I don't recognize the domain and so there's no way I'm clicking it.
>> [music] [singing] >> There is a market thing. Okay, so let let's let's switch gears here and look for the mining laser upgrade.
>> [screaming] >> 70 jumps away is the closest one. Holy [ __ ] All right.
Well, I'll just figure out a different way to do this.
baby.
I may just put a bunch of stuff in and, you know, have stuff shipped down.
I already have um I have a shipment that is 6 billion worth of drones that I'm bringing down.
And um it's a lot.
And so, I got to figure out, you know, like am I am I uh am I fly that down myself or or am I just going to pay to have it hauled? I don't know yet.
Don't know yet.
So, all right.
If you are watching on video, see you in the next episode.
