Las Vegas Athletics Stadium Construction Update 05 22 2026Added:
Hello, this is Dunto. So, today I'm on the corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Boulevard.
It is Friday, May 22nd, 2026.
So, I'm going to head on over to the athletics ballpark site.
But these are the billboards out front.
I've shown them before.
You know, this is what the whole district is going to look like.
You know, if you look right in the front where it has the valley sign, that's going to be the corner. That's right at the intersection Trop and Las Vegas Boulevard.
And then this is supposed to be like the main entrance right here. This this would be the outfield, the north side of the stadium, you know, so you could gather out front, come over the pedestrian bridges, go to the restaurants and bars, and then you'll be able to, you know, go into the stadium that way. All right, but it is going to be Memorial Day weekend.
So, I show you what they have on Big Red here. It's pretty cool. They did have this giant flag hanging when they first set up the the crane, but now for the holiday weekend, they have it to honor, you know, Memorial Day. So, pretty cool. So, I'm going to make my way. I'm going to go to the oo, try to get some footage from up there.
See what's going on. I do see the cranes moving because I wasn't sure if maybe they weren't uh maybe they weren't working today. But the cranes are moving. Just Big Red's not working right now. They're using it to show off Old Glory up there. So stay tuned. I'm going to go park and then we'll get in there.
Okay, I'm now on uh OU parking deck and we can see right here Harley is lifting some steel up into place.
Looks like they're setting everything down into the inside there where they're putting the seating.
So, it is currently about 11:40 in the morning.
Normally when I'm here about noon is break time.
All right. So, you can see they dropped that down in. I'm going to try to zoom in a little. If we look through this second level, we could see someone there. I think that's where they're dropping the steel into place.
If we look down below, they have a lot of of this still all staged.
See right there?
And then they do have more to the right over here.
All right, we can see the wall here. When I was here, um, Monday, I was filming from the MGM Grand and we saw them. They were putting up the the panels on the side of this wall.
Then you can see how they paint it and they are starting to put more of the studs up.
Okay, so it is pretty big in there. Look at that loader driving through there.
So that gives you a good uh perspective of how big that really is.
Going to keep an eye on it. Kind of seems like he's he went in there to go get something.
Oh yeah, there's a excavator in there too. You can see like the backho looking the arm.
So I wasn't expecting that seeing that driving underneath there. And there is like some kind of dirt or something in it.
All right, we got Red Junior. They're not using that today. You can see it's in the jack knife position there.
All right. And we got more of the outside wall going up on this side. You can see the blue. And then that's right over that's going to be kind of like a little loading dock area with those three different bays.
And then like I've said in my other videos, to the left of that, that is like going to be the for the trash.
I'm assuming it'll have all the dump, you know, the dumpsters and stuff under there where it kind of seems opposite for like a uh dock area. I would think, you know, that looks pretty small. I don't know if I guess semis could back up in there. I don't even know. That looks too small to me, but just might be the scale of the stadium. It It's bigger than it really looks.
Okay, they just finished uh dropping off that piece of steel when I first got here. They're going to swing around to get something else. But while they're hooking that up, we can see that they put the two more pieces of sections of shoring in right here.
So, if you notice, let me show one of the finished ones, how they have like a platform on top.
So, these ones here, they're not complete. They're obviously too short to hold up any of the roof.
Not sure when they're going to add on more, but I think they put one up on Tuesday and then the other one was it was either Wednesday. I think it was Wednesday. Tuesday and Wednesday if I'm not mistaken.
And if you check out the ballpark cam, I don't see them working on getting any more built right now. So, I would think this more of the outfill area will be, you know, a little later on. Starting to get the roof on there. So, we'll just keep an eye on it. All right. They hooked this piece up really fast.
All right, I'm looking at the still going up across the way there on Uh that would be the southwest corner.
So we can see how they have kind of like four levels.
The top level is that lighter gray steel. And then if we come over to the right, of course, we got the shoring in the way. But straight across there.
All right. On this side, you could see the the newest level. Then right in between here. I'm just wondering why they right in between. You could see how they haven't continued continued up, you know, to go across and then it continues the upper level to the right of that. So, there's that space in between. Not sure exactly why cuz I'm assuming it's still going to keep going up, but it's missing something.
All right, let me go back over here.
They're We got the crew putting these sheets of wall on.
Then if we look to the left of them, there is some kind of window or there's actually a small one and a bigger one.
Curious how that works out, you know, cuz they will have the outer uh finish of the stadium around the whole thing.
So, you know, I don't know if there will be a hallway or something that you'd be able to walk around or if that's the actual edge of the outside of the ballpark.
So again, if I'm not mistaken, the date I heard that they're going to start putting in some of the pre-cast concrete for the seating, Jan or June 12th.
And then June 1st is when they're supposed to start putting up the roof trusses. I think I said January my last video.
So it is June, not January.
So June 1st roof trusses should be going in. So like a week and a half away. This is going to be here really quick.
And then less than a month to start seeing some of the seating going in or the level for the seating. It won't be the actual any of the seats yet.
So, it's going to be a busy weekend. Of course, it's the holiday weekend, 3-day weekend.
I'm assuming, you know, obviously all the workers on the site here will not be working for the holiday, Memorial Day.
But there is a big concert. I'm really old cuz I do not know one thing they sing, but it's BTS. It's one of them K-pop bands from I think they're from South Korea.
They sold out Allegiance Stadium. Um, it's either four or five different shows.
So, they're going to be here this weekend. They had stuff set up at Allegiance Stadium I saw yesterday. Big big giant tent in the one parking lot with all the fencing to control the crowd where you could go buy all the merch. It's like major. I don't know.
They must wait hours and hours in line for that.
But that's who's in town this week.
BTS couldn't tell you one thing. I know they dance and this and that.
All right. I'm like looking down across the way on the west side. The crane over there's picking up something. It kind of just looks like a ladder.
I don't know what it was, but you could see it going down there on the side.
So, it looks like this crew that's putting up these uh the outer wall.
Looks like they just go get one sheet at a time. They load it up in their basket with them and then go mount it one sheet at a time.
I keep hearing I'm sure you can hear it on the video kind of like a jackhammer. I'm trying to figure out what what they're working on, but I don't see it. There's that water truck there. I don't know if it's the crew over there doing something inside.
Not sure.
I don't know how this how well you could really tell on this uh video, but just in the jack knife position, this red junior is still just so humongous.
And me personally, I have not seen them lift anything with it.
You know, I don't know if they've been using it or not to lift, but they do lift it up when I've been out here, but I just haven't seen them loading anything with it.
See the flag behind him hanging from Big Red.
It's not too windy right now, so it's not blowing around.
Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
There you go.
See these upper levels here? How they're getting, you know, they got all the decking on underneath there. You can see how it's all getting enclosed in.
Don't forget about the buttresses. So now they look low are kind of hidden out of what? Out of the way, but remember the buttresses over here are going to be used to hold all the roofs all the roof uh steel.
So we'll see the steel shooting straight up and at them little different angles up over the top of these upper levels here.
They do have the concrete pump truck down there. Not sure what they were pumping because right now they're just putting it right back into another truck, but it's looking good. All right, I'm going to make my way over. I'm going to go over there by Reno, probably in the church parking lot. We'll get a view from over there. See what's going on on that side.
All right, I'm across the street at the church here. You could see Old Glory.
Real slight breeze, so it's not blowing too good, but still really cool.
I'm talking about the breaker.
It's a little after 12. I do see a lot of the crew. They're leaving the site.
All right. All right. If we look over here, we can't see the escalators. So, they have one that's mounted right there.
I actually had them lifting that one in the place. That's been a few months ago.
And then there are two two more sitting on top here. And there are two on the north end.
There's our screen clear.
All right, it's looking good. So, if you're not following along with us and you would like to see this build take place, please subscribe to my channel, Raiders 1967.
Get updates on this athletics ballpark as well as of the new Hard Rock going in.
Anything you liked about the video, if you could give me a thumbs up, that would be greatly appreciated.
And please leave comments. I love all the comments.
So everyone have a safe Memorial Day weekend.
You know, we're celebrating all those that sacrif did the ultimate sacrifice for us to be able to go to baseball games and, you know, to be able to, you know, build these big stadiums. So, I'd like to thank everyone for watching.
Enjoy your holiday weekend and I will talk with you guys next time.
