While social norms like clothing, music, and language change over time, morality should not be relative to societal acceptance, because if morality only depended on what society accepts, then practices like slavery, corruption, and cruelty would become 'moral' when the majority approves them; instead, some moral principles are universal and do not change with generations.

Can Morality Really Evolve?Added:
People today often say, "Morality evolves."
But think about that for a second.
Social norms do change. Clothes change.
Music changes. Language changes. Even traditions change. But should right and wrong change, too?
Because if morality only depends on what society accepts, then slavery was moral when society accepted it.
Corruption becomes moral when everyone does it.
And cruelty becomes moral if the majority approves. That does not sound right.
Deep inside, most people already know some things are simply wrong, no matter the generation.
What do you think?
Do you think morality can evolve?
