first try to understand [Music] what is a good self-esteem and how to develop it in general then we will go into more detail and for this i would like to invite um arco to guide us through thank you good evening to everyone for all of you for joining in um has it ever happened in your life that someone has said something or done something and it has rocked your world you know of yourself to be a certain way you know yourself to have certain good points and qualities and then someone comes in and says something which upsets you so badly that your entire confidence and your belief in yourself gets shattered now for those of you who are on the spiritual path someone might scan something someone might determine something and you feel hey am i really that kind of a person or if you're at work and you're you know that you develop a certain standard of work and then someone comes in and says hey you know what your quality of work has just been lacking and you start to feel very low sometimes it could be that you've you think you've lost some weight you're looking good and someone comes in oh you look nice and there's something about their tone of voice and something and you feel your world has started to crumble again so what happens is we have a certain image of ourselves and this is built in by the inputs we receive from the physical world from the emotional transactions that we have with other people and a mental perception of who we are and what we are if that gets affected in some way with certain words with certain actions with even certain expressions and if we are not secure in ourselves our life can become very complicated very unhappy very very quickly so that's why we thought in this particular session we'll have a feel-good session because all through the world there's so many examples of things that we're not doing we could be doing something for the war that's happening out there we could be doing something for the pandemic we could be helping other people eat more food we could be doing this that this that this that and it's just this constant negative image negative um aggregate as master church puts it in chronic psychotherapy these huge thought forms which are surrounding us which way down on our shoulders on our mind on our body and our spirit and makes us just feel very very low hands up if you experience this because i know i have and we have been experiencing it for the last few years so now we thought you know what let's change things up a little bit let's appreciate who we are as persons will take a good look at ourselves and say you know what we've got these good qualities and that good qualities but sometimes it's easier said than done because if i sit here and tell you hey all of you you're here you look really pretty you look really really good and you'll say how do you know your camera is finished off everything's up how do you know you don't even allow us to switch on the cameras so that way it becomes cognitive dissonance so in this session if you want to learn how to develop goods to develop ourselves if you want to progress we need to have good self-esteem and that's what master chocolate says if you read on the screen if you want to learn you will need to have good self-esteem and therefore we need to now go in and check out what is the difference between feeling good about ourselves and having good self-esteem and between pride which is kind of the opposite end of where we want to go to and that's where hangame comes in and tells us what the difference is thank you so much arco and one of the things i i get from reading this this quote is good self-esteem um requires humility so low self-esteem as massachusetts says low self-esteem and pride are both two sides of the same coin and if we have pride then we disconnect ourselves from the teacher from the higher uh beings and so on so that would affect our learning that would affect our growth because it will lead to spiritual fall now what is pride um you know being someone who is shy i also experienced having low self-esteem before i can actually um under i can actually see that how good self-esteem and pride are both two sides of the same same coin because i could validate i could see that sometimes i don't have any self-esteem to the extent that one time i had to take an iq test to actually see that on the screen that i have something to be happy about okay and although i was going into this like special school for talented children but sometimes my my self-esteem would be so low that i had to one time i remember i had to do that and on the other hand sometimes it would lead into pride and then i was thinking i'm the best person in the world so i could see this going up and down up and down in a cycle and um i wouldn't find a balance to see my weaknesses and my strength and then when i came into the pranic healing school and especially or had yoga i started to learn about this the virtues practices i could see that the more i let go of pride the more my self-esteem increase now why these two are two sides of the same coin is because if the self-esteem is too low psychologically we will develop pride to be able to tolerate ourselves you know like if someone's leg is broken we need a cast until the leg is repaired for example so similarly if the self-esteem if the self-image is so broken even when we look at the mirror we cannot actually tolerate and we cannot actually accept the person we see on the other side on in the mirror and therefore we develop right in order to be able to survive to live so that you know we can actually accept ourselves something like that so the more we develop our self-esteem the more we start to appreciate what we do best and also see what we need to develop our weaknesses that would lead us into a more kind of like humility having humility and at the same time a good self-image okay so a person with good self-image is not a person who thinks they are the best they have everything in perfection a person with good self-image means a person who can see their weaknesses as well as strength so that we know what to develop and what we have that we can use i remember hearing this in a video from massachusetts which was very interesting he said he had one of his disciples um whenever he he was seeing him he would realize that the person has a lot of pride so he would tell the person you need to work on pride and the next time you would see the person you would realize he has more pride and he was thinking how come this is happening like i'm already giving hints to this person to improve on this area how come the pride increase and one time if i remember correctly [Music] master told him you know having good self-esteem doesn't mean that you have to beat yourself up and then the person was like surprising saying oh i thought to remove pride means i have to actually beat myself up and saying you have this scene you have that scene to myself something like that and that was actually breaking his ego breaking his self-image more and more and the more he was doing that he was developing more and more pride so to develop a good self-esteem means we need to have humility and to remove pride we need to have good self-esteem so basically both are two sides of the same coin now how to develop good self-esteem before that how to detect if we have low self-esteem or negative self-image what do you think or how we know we have this this issue to work on so you know master chuna he says that we can develop humility self-confidence flexibility and resourcefulness through overcoming difficulties and hardships in life and i had one thought in my mind but then after you said that you went to a school for gifted youngsters which is also the tagline for the x-men and the mcu by the way so maybe your superpower is that you're an amazing person anyway um it says it said that when kids are told that you're so talented you're so amazing there's a study which was done and it was found that as the kids went on in life up to high school or something they became underachievers under performers because they were told that they are so talented and they let their talent through everything but conversely there was another group of kids who were told that you are very hard working and you put in a lot of effort and those kids were found to have become well-adjusted well-balanced adults they went on in life to accomplish good things to have a high standard in life so in when it comes to developing self-esteem and we may ask this to ourselves look it's no secret that when we are on the spiritual path when we are helping people we tend to develop a bit of a superiority complex whether we like it or not whether you and i acknowledge it or not or whether everyone else is going to see this technology or not we have a feel good that look i do my meditation i do my practices i'm different from everyone else on the street like it or not we have that in bits and pieces some more some less but when we are told that we work hard when the teacher tells us work hard you work hard everyone else works hard big deal that's when you kind of sit straight and say yeah yeah okay if i'm working hard and if i look at the teacher and the teacher worked way harder what am i even talking about i have nothing to boast about so when it comes to self-esteem if we change the parameters on which we look at ourselves i think that would be one of the fundamental ways in which we can see that we are doing well because look there's no point in competing with with anybody here i can't compete with you i don't know what kind of skills and talents you when i see you i don't mean you specifically i mean everyone here i'm good at something does not mean that there's someone out there who's not better at me than it okay if i read 52 books in a year there could be some guy who reads 60 somebody who reads 100.
there's always someone out there better so i can't judge my goodness or my qualities based on competing with other people what i can do is compare myself to how i was before if i'm reading 52 books in a year how many did i read last year i read 50. great i've improved by two books which is a lot if i'm doing 20 hours of service in last year this year my target would be to increase it by 10 or 20 percent so if you do just that little bit more and we compare with ourselves and not anybody else you want to see you want to look attractive compare how much you weighed last year do your measurements last year and see this year you want to see in terms of finances how much were you earning five years ago how much are you earning now how much are you donating now how many people how many people did you reach last year say maybe you wrote a blog post that went really popular or you did a video which was seen by 1 000 people then this year try to double that so you start developing your self-esteem progressively because then you are stuck on any one benchmark you're no longer that person who's like i did this in 1995 or i opened this country or i did that work in this year okay you did great good for you what do you want a trophy here's a trophy tada you earned internet points but what's the point of getting stuck right there and then feeling bad because someone else is doing hey i opened up this country in 2018. now there's someone else who's in that country and now i feel bad and master helped me my pride no point compete with yourself so if you want to get better at becoming better that's an interesting thing if you want to get better at becoming better look at where you were before and see have i become better at this no then you become humble so you develop humility which is what you see on your screen you develop self-confidence when you realize yes i can do good work and my mentor many many years back would should say something that look when a building is being made okay when you're constructing a building you'll have a lot of scaffolding and dirt and other things on the outside okay but once the building is constructed do you still keep that scaffolding the covers and everything outside will you still keep it there of course not you're going to remove it because it looks ugly but if you remove it right from the very beginning then the building will never be constructed so pride is kind of like that scaffolding you need it to build yourself up you feel good about pride that about something you've accomplished which is positive pride but once you've accomplished it once you've reached a certain standard there's no point in holding on to it because just gonna make your building your character look ugly so from there you then need to move on to understand and maintain your standard which is where self-love comes in and that's something anger we will talk about thank you thank you so much eric um from your talk yeah um first of all i just wanted to make it sharing that yeah you said the important thing is to tell the children that you are hard working and not that you're gifted that it's really really true because i could see that me and um many students like in our school because we were kept being told like you you are gifted you have like high iq you are this and that somehow you feel like privileged so you don't really work hard to achieve what you need to achieve and also it develop a certain kind of stress and worry that everybody expects certain things from you and that would lead even to more low self-esteem and eventually more pride in that sense so that was really interesting sharing thank you so much and so developing self-esteem how to know we we have issues with self-esteem as larko said one is um if you keep comparing yourself if we keep comparing ourselves with others that could be one um sign to know that we have issues with self-esteem and another thing is if we are jealous if we see other people's um you know success and so on then we feel jealous that also could be another sign of not having good self esteem now why self-love is important because many of the challenges many of the relationship problems and so on is because we don't love ourselves enough and therefore many people start a relationship in the hope that their partner will make them feel loved and then when they don't get it they start to have arguments friction with each other because the expectation is not met but if we already develop self-love if we already love ourselves for the person we are with the weaknesses and with their strengths and then we don't need to look for others for approval we don't need to um go start a relationship just because we need to be loved and you see many people choose wrong field of study wrong business and so on that lead to unhappiness just because they need approval of their parents or or teachers or society and all of that is because of not having enough self-love self-appreciation we should be the person who actually make ourselves feel loved of course we need others as well human is a social um you know being and therefore we need to socialize with others we need to give love and receive love but we don't have if we don't have self-love then we expect it from others we demand it and that would lead to unhappiness okay so um that's why self-love is very important to have and one of the ways of having it is again to increase our self-image to look at ourselves as a being of light love and power as a child of god and there are so many techniques with which we can increase our self-image a good self-image which we are going to discuss shortly so the question now is how to develop a good self-esteem and we will start with acknowledging our good qualities and alcohol you mind sharing this please thank you thank you people who are humble have good self-esteem and this particular line took me quite some time to understand and in fact i'm not sure i understand it very clearly even now but let's work with the second point you know your good qualities and you know your strong points self-esteem plus self-honesty equals humility so okay if i know my good qualities and i know my good points it would imply the opposite as well that i have an idea of what i am not good at now you it's a different story if you don't like acknowledging it the fact is that we do have certain qualities which are not so great but here we're going to look at the good qualities we're going to look at some of the good stuff so as always since i love making things practical i'm going to ask you to start typing on your chat first first first first i would like for you to please scan your own heart your own heart chakra okay if you know how to scan well and code if you don't just pretend you're moving your hands to the air until you feel something and you say yes yes yes i'm good at scanning okay so please can your heart chakra now what i'd like you to do is on the chat i want you to write three just three three things you like about yourself three things which you like about yourself okay and i'll make it simpler one of the things could be something that you like about your appearance or things could be something you like about your finances it could be something that you like about the world it could be something that you like about um your relationships could be something you like about your practices could be something about your mental progress books i give you a few seconds right off the top of your head three things three qualities you love about yourself okay that could be something that's work in progress like i love the fact that i've lost 10 pounds of weight okay i love the fact that i have started reading a book i love the fact that i'm going to be sitting for my uh certification program i love the fact that despite my health not being well i take time to do xyz to do this to go to work okay i love the fact that despite my boss is such a okay maybe don't write that of course you could say i'm such a peace loving person that even though i want to employ the hand miner to throat minor chakra technique i don't do that so i'd like for you to put in the chat three qualities you like about yourself now no no no no no and i'm stopping you before some of you do this some of you will write very vague stuff you write that i have loving kindness well good for you buddy what about all that bacteria that you inhaled or all the ants you stepped on don't make it vague go down to specific stuff i like the fact that i fed my stray dogs don't just say i love the fact that i have compassion compassion to what to whom okay if you're going to write stuff write it in specifics and when you share them when you put them in writing and you put it out in the world even though you might be shy about sharing these um when you start to think and write them down things start changing in the inner world and by influencing the inner world you can influence you can change the outer physical world so there's some people who are starting on reading some of them out with your permission one person very commendable i love that i've started spreading funny healing that's amazing brilliant i love that i try to help my family and friends now this is a very big thing because most of us while we choose our friends we don't get to choose our family and so we love our family but we don't always like them so the fact that you are taking time out to go and help your family and friends 10 10 points to you i don't know how many points there are in the world but i'm giving you 10 points i love to work with children in school that's amazing more and more children tell them they're hard working it's amazing i like the fact that i started trekking and camping again see this is the kind of specificity which i'm talking about because you were doing something and then something happened in life and you stopped okay maybe it was family maybe it was finances maybe it was a pandemic maybe you hurt yourself something but you've gone back out there you've taken that physical labor that physical effort and you've started trekking and camping again and that is worthy of acknowledgement i am good looking and i inspire others whatever i love this i love the self-confidence of this i'm good-looking and i inspire others fact when you work on your appearance when you are filled with soul energy we'll talk about that in some time when you're filled with the energy of the divine you will start to look even better i'm involved with the world around by maturity not wanting one spiritual path my flexibility and compassion now this is the part where i said you want to go and learn to specific flexible in what aspect physically flexible you can move your fingers mentally flexible you are willing to read the opinion of other people emotionally flexible you're willing to forgive your partner for their mistakes so don't just write one word which can mean anything okay the fact that you finally i love this word i finally started reading gmc cases books good on you congratulations so you acknowledge that you have these good qualities you are blessed with these good qualities and sometimes when you're not able to recognize them you need to start forgiving yourself for that i us to forgive others but because we have a high standard for ourselves it makes it difficult for us to forgive oneself so i remember feeling that way before so when i make a mistake i keep meditating on the mistake previously and thinking how come i did that after so much of meditation so much of practice how come i made that mistake so even if the person whom i hurt with that mistake the person was okay that person was don't worry about it i already forgiven you it's okay forget about it for me it was like i cannot forgive myself how come i made that mistake so that is also a mistake we should not make a big fuss when we make a mistake yes it's good to know how many mistakes we make per day what are the mistakes to have awareness to be able to change them but by making fuss about it by keep repeating it by keep meditating on it we are actually making it worse for ourselves to improve also it will affect our self-image because we keep in our head we kept telling ourselves i'm no good i'm not good enough i still make mistakes okay i remember hearing this from one of the masters that there was one person who stopped meditating just because the person couldn't couldn't give up chicken if i'm not mistaken like the person was vegetarian at one time um but like forcing herself to stay vegetarian at one time she couldn't take it and then she took chicken and then she was not because she was really making a big fuss she couldn't she didn't want to meditate anymore because she was thinking i'm not good enough for this pass so you see sometimes we make a big fuss out of something which might not be as important as massachusetts says what comes out of your mouth is more important than what goes in than what goes in so sometimes you just make a big fuss out of things forgive yourself move on meditate on what we need to do next time okay fantastic now let's move on to the next technique with which we can improve our self-image and that is affirmations thank you thank you and i must say that was that was not easy that was not easy at all so while we're still soaking in the feeling of forgiveness i remember an exercise which you've done several sessions prior where you asked us to list some some people we love and at the end of it you asked us how many of you mentioned yourself as deserving of your love so you're the only person who's been with you for the rest of your life who's gonna be there for yourself always so you are above all else deserving of your love now here's a very interesting thing um now we are talking about this in our esoteric study club uh which will also be doing one major session for this saturday you talk about mind body and spirit we are on the path of spirituality but we are also working towards achieving oneness with our higher soul and so the question comes do we use the term soul and spirit interchangeably most of us do right so but we don't say i'm on the path of solarity we don't say that that's just sound weird so what is the difference between the soul and the spirit so if you've been studying esoteric esoteric studies for some time the soul is your higher soul while the spirit is the divine spark and the journey from the soul to the divine spark is the path of spirituality that we're on the beauty about this is since all of us are connected to our divine sparks and the divine sparks are connected to god we are in essence all connected to god and therefore all connected with one another so when we start affirming something when we notice when we start looking at the divinity in someone we are essentially looking at the divine at their soul at the divine spark and connecting it to god and when we reaffirm this when we talk about it again and again and again our conscious mind becomes geared towards fixing it okay towards looking at it so therefore affirmations scientifically they work because they strengthen the connection of our brain to understand something so based on the back of this forgiveness exercise we did just now let's just quietly look at the screen and affirm lord god thank you for your great blessings for your divine love and mercy for abundance and prosperity for divine health and protection with thanks and in full faith now don't take my word for it scan your spiritual card connect to your spark connect your higher soul connect your divine spark connect to god and say lord god thank you for your great blessings for your divine love and mercy for abundance and prosperity for divine help and protection with thanks and in full faith and then you can rescan your divine court and your spiritual connection and see how you uh you feel the beautiful part about this is that any kind of affirmation will have this kind of an effect so you just choose a good affirmation every day say it with me every day in every way i'm getting better and better every day in every way i am getting better and better now feel it okay don't just say every day in every way noticed when you do more service when you try to promote chronic healing when you spread meditation when you spread spirituality you do things that usually you don't find yourself capable of doing or if it's in a normal occasion you don't do it but when it comes to spreading the teachings when it comes to doing the spiritual work when it comes to promoting or doing healing and so on you do things beyond your capacity that is because we get filled with soul energy and also we receive energy from the teacher which we will discuss at the end of the presentation but the more soul energy we have in our cells we feel more magnetic we feel more empowered because the higher soul is the source of all these energies so the more purification we do the more meditation we do the more um spiritual practice we do we increase the size of the spiritual core we receive more energy from the higher soul and we feel more empowered and of course the more service we do that's why doing service makes us feel empowered it will develop the chakras also the chakras develop muscles and that would lead into having a better self image because we are filled with this amazing energy in ourselves and as much surgery says when you are filled with soul energy you'll become more magnetic you will see that people come to you more and more people of course we need to keep reminding ourselves not to be proud because we're just an instrument but that would help into having less negative self-image now let's move on to the next one which is avoiding criticism and that deals with the law of karma and arkham will guide us through so when we were talking about it we were not sure whether this is something that we should talk about but figures that we should see we work in a group right and we know there are seven rays we know there are different types of personalities in the past we've talked about transactional analysis you know cognitive dissonances and so on and so on and biases and so on and so on and so on at the end of the day we don't always get along with the people we're working with we disagree it happens in your family think of i'm to give you big examples think of any example in your lizard brain as they call it they have so the moment you come down very loudly on somebody uh their progress their ability to do things stops now here's a beautiful part of it about energy is that you don't need to be loud in your mouth you don't need to be a voluminous person your thoughts can be very loud you can be very very loud very very intense with your thought process alone your quiet body language itself can be very very loud like just like this is this the body language of a successful person or is this the body language of a successful person so you can be loud you can just change your energy by how you place your shoulders by paying attention to your posture and here's the thing the moment i say the word posture ninety percent of you would have sat up straight it's just psychological right it's just there so avoid hurting people because it affects your own self-esteem it affects your own self-image the work needs to be done you're here to spread chronic healing spread pranic healing someone's disrupting you okay fine that's his job let him disrupt he's here to teach you a lesson learn from it what are you supposed to learn from it maybe you need to become more powerful maybe you need to become more flexible i don't know what you need to learn that's something you can answer for yourself and if it's a pattern which has been happening over and over and over again that if people are coming and betraying you and you're still being soft and gentle then maybe you need to become tougher or maybe if we're very very tough and very very willful and people are coming to you and then going away maybe you need to become more gentle point is when you acknowledge what's going wrong when you really acknowledge what's going wrong then you can start fixing and making things right so no point in criticizing people will behave the way they behave it's your job it's your understanding to grow and evolve uh me could you put on the next slide please for this one there's another one for this right to recognize the shortcomings or problems of a person is okay but don't do that all the time don't keep focusing on them or thinking about them over and over and criticizing other people's mistakes mentally all right this is excessive excess mental criticism must be reduced it's human nature to make mistakes some people are more human some people are more natural okay ignore it okay say okay you are a piece of sunlight at night or other creative things don't keep repeating people's mistakes some people can be very beautiful some people can call themselves to be spiritual and talk about their spirituality all day all night long but mentally they are doing as henga says kung fu so you got stuff happening in your life take a deep breath exhale can i take control of this i can't what can i do i can change the way i work i can change the patterns which are causing issues i can stop giving people the control to my heart and my mind and my feelings and my posture i can reclaim my energy and i know that i can do a very good job just don't bother about what they're doing sure if the person is stabbing you in the back all the time make sure you remove your back from their reach don't keep yourself in a position that you can be stabbed all the time if you're a very polite person you can turn and say i'm sorry did my back hurt your knife apologize for inconveniencing them maybe they've hurt their shoulders while trying to stab you do some healing on them bless them and move on point is you need to have a sense of humor when you're dealing with problems in life right laugh about it what's the worst that can happen at the end of in the next 50 years the next eight years you'll be dead gone you'll be gone is that gonna really matter now don't get depressed if i say this that like reminded you of it just relax take it easy remember your good qualities remember it's not just your boss that gives you an appraisal at the end of every financial year you can go and ask for an appraisal from your family from your friends and say look i'm feeling low can you tell me five good things about myself and that will be a game changer believe me so avoid excessive criticism avoid criticizing yourself you made you made a mistake it's okay everyone makes mistakes one or two times it's okay by the time you're doing it for the 80th time then we know you've got a problem okay so relax change your patterns see if you're not repeating the same things and move on and remember why would that particular problem happen to you what kind of karmic lesson is there what are you being taught and that's when the realization that i am nothing but an instrument comes into play and that's what hingham will talk about thank you so much so that leads us to the last topic to discuss and that is to see ourselves as an instrument okay this has worked for me several times especially when i when i first started to teach when i started to give talks you know being a shy person since childhood even talking in front of a few group of people was a big no for me but as i started my spiritual path i started to look at myself as just an instrument okay we just need to be available and as message through cooks we says your limitation is not the limitation of god and the teacher okay so when we are an instrument when we make ourselves an instrument and we start working towards spirituality the higher beings will work through us and then you will see yourself doing things which are beyond your capabilities okay so sometimes when i think but i'm not good enough to give a talk but i'm not good enough to teach but i'm not good enough to do healing in this case or whatever the thing is think of yourself as an instrument okay i'm making myself available i will do whatever i can in the best way i can and i just leave the rest to the higher beings i have seen a very very serious case healed in a very short time something that like i was thinking is impossible but it happened and i have seen sometimes not so difficult cases take some time so many things happen which are beyond our control it depends on the person receptivity of the person karma of the person the right time so many things okay so but the important thing is we need to do things the best way we can create a good image positive image that everything has gone well and then leave the rest to the divine to the teacher to the higher soul to god so when we look at ourselves as instruments then we won't develop right because we know that some of the things happened or not like most of the things happen is not because of me is but because of the help i'm getting i heard this from my surface that one time she saw massachuakoxi was doing healing and then and the person got better if i remember the narrative correctly and then he was telling the family of the patient that we did healing and then she asked master chuako sui why did you say we did healing but you were only the the only person who was in the room and doing healing you were alone and then master chakra he says i i was not the person the only person doing healing there were so many healing angels helping so in many of the tasks we do especially if it's a spiritual task we are being helped and i have seen that myself so many times we were doing a program we were doing a session and we didn't plan everything well somehow everything happened perfectly and i remember some years ago every time for this tuesday session certain topic would come to my mind and in many cases it was exactly the topic that we had to talk about because of the occasion of that day for example um one time i can't remember exactly but based on the calendar we have certain occasions certain celebrations and somehow the topic would which was coming to my mind was related to that topic without even checking the calendar or thinking about it and so on and so many times we did as i said programs or sessions that everything happened so perfectly and there were so many people telling wow you planned everything so well and in my mind was um i actually didn't even think about it somehow everything happened perfectly just because we make ourselves available we make ourselves receptive and just because the higher brains work through us you just need to be a good instrument i remember there was this dance um video that we needed it for a retreat so i just put a music on certain videos made it as a dance video and then one of the masters was telling me how did you do that the beats of the music and the videos the images you chose are so aligned and i just told the master i i didn't plan this it just happened so you see that is what i'm talking about so when we are we make ourselves a good instrument of course we need to do whatever we can in the best way but in many times even if we have shortcomings even if we have weaknesses even if we have um problems or issues that would be help that would be guided that would be um protected and so on and that is when we make ourselves as instruments so as massachusetts says we may just affirm i'm just an
