In A-Level Mechanics, velocity is found by integrating acceleration with respect to time (v = ∫a dt), and position is found by integrating velocity (x = ∫v dt), with constants of integration determined using initial conditions. This fundamental calculus-based approach allows students to solve kinematics problems by systematically applying integration techniques to acceleration functions to derive velocity and position equations.

A-Level Mechanics revision!!!!
Added:Um, if I visit you in Oxford Oxford, will you visit me in Cambridge? I do plan I'm probably going to find an excuse to be at Cambridge for some reason, right?
Uh, okay, we should be live on the tube again. Let me open up the correct chat cuz Loki I'm on the wrong one.
With your love master natural exam, I have had to actually actively think about um, I have to like actively think about what I write down on that on that line now. It's really weird.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay, y'all stream's working.
Oh my god, how attractive is this guy on my screen?
Wow.
That second order guy is pretty attractive, too.
Nah, they didn't look worse.
This is optional, by the way. Yes, it is.
Kind of.
Like it depends what you mean by optional, really.
What's up, Sunny? Okay.
Oh wait, no [ __ ] Speed moment, bro.
We will Loki tear up all the slums of Cambridge, I guess, bro.
When it all falls down. [singing] Okay, so what are we going to do for this stream? I'm thinking we just do the mock set one for mechanics.
Um, cuz I was going to do it I did mock set one for Where is it? I have the mock set somewhere.
I did mock set one for stats. Uh, did I read your Discord message? I don't I don't have Discord open and I'm not going to open it just in case it shows on screen.
Yeah, why not?
Tell me that I insecure.
Uh yeah.
1 second.
Check that check.
Like that it look like we >> [snorts] >> Uh if I do if I get to grade on in A-level maths in straight maths Can I do less time so we can focus on?
Yeah, kind Yeah, I guess. Why do mechanics? Cuz I haven't done it in a while and everybody wants it.
Thanks for the follows.
Comes out paper one or two? I would say paper one is harder.
Um because it's just memorization. Paper two you can actually use your head.
You're good, bro.
Um okay, let me AQA maths maths further maths this that the other.
Um shadow mock mock >> [gasps] >> Where are the mock papers at?
sample specimen practice Where are the mock sets?
Bison Brampton mock BMA mocks I don't want BMA mocks. I want the normal ones.
practice no Probably.
Oh, regular math specific A-level mock tests okay, come.
I swear my exam is all done for you this year? No, Thursday. Do you do physics?
No. I do further mechanics though. So, this is pretty light for me, hopefully.
We're going to just get mock set one done. I'm going to check the questions and I know you guys can't see on screen yet. I'll pull it up in a sec.
I've done this question before. We're going to do a different set.
We'll do mock set two maybe. Let me check mocks at two.
Uh I look calm.
>> [sighs] >> I'm talking about AQA for you. Yeah, it's all good.
Okay.
Strongest part of maths? I don't know. I think the question is more what is my weakest part, to be fair.
Cuz I'm strong in pretty much all of the A-level stuff.
Maybe stats, but that's just weird like one-liners, you know?
One-liners, you know what I mean?
Written answers.
Yeah, I I hate stats to an extent. I think A-level stats is kind of ass. Or A-level maths stats. I know it gets more interesting as you go to a higher level, though.
Okay. So, guys, can we all see the questions properly or does this look so bad that I'm going to change the paper?
Let me try paper three.
Okay, this one looks fine.
I've done this question.
I don't think I've done this.
This looks really easy, though.
We'll do it anyway. Fine. How many papers left? I don't know. Oh, what like A-level papers? Three.
Um What is it? Further mech, further No, no, my bad.
Um How many Oh, yeah, sorry. I have comp sci paper two, um stats mechanics, and then further pure.
We're going to go just question by question through this set.
We're going to go through it pretty briskly. It should be done in like half an hour, assuming I don't make silly mistakes.
Will you celebrate on the 19th? I don't know.
Drink. I I don't know. Cuz I have something I have to do today after anyway.
Cuz I'm going to meet up with a friend who's coming over to London for the day.
Um guy from my stream.
Um like one of the guys who comes on my stream quite often.
Genuinely haven't touched comp sci paper two in like at least a month.
But it's all like Like okay, I've I've gone over the content. Just I haven't done actual past paper in a while.
It's been more um paper one focused.
But I'm better at paper two anyway.
Cambridge International further maths not Edexcel. No clue.
Further finished it feels great. Old to be you.
Okay, let's just get started. Rehearse with the band first.
Advice for econ paper three? Um get a time machine and go back to when you could do it.
Okay. No, I don't have any advice. I sucked at paper three. That's kind of why I dropped econ.
Um okay, A.
So, P constant acceleration time T equals 1. Okay. A is equal to 3 -2.
V is equal to the integral of A.
DT.
V is equal to 3t + C and -2t + D.
Um T equals 1.
V is equal to -1 4.
Um -1 4. Yeah, fine. So, I can say that uh 3 + C equals -1.
And I can say that -2 + D is equal to 4.
Uh C is equal to -4.
D is equal to 6. Uh and so, V is equal to 3t plus, sorry, minus 4.
And this is going to be 6 minus 2 T.
Okay.
Okay, so velocity given T is equal to 4 is equal to 12 minus 4, which is 8.
And we're going to get 6 minus 8, which is negative 2.
>> [snorts] >> And then so therefore what speed is magnitude of velocity.
Speed is root 68 ms -1. And we're doing mechanics, so we'll round it.
>> [snorts] >> Constant A?
It's not variable, but you can just integrate acceleration to get If it's constant acceleration, you can just integrate it with time to get with respect to time to get um >> [snorts] >> velocity. Mark set for.
Why is it so late, yeah? What time are you finishing?
I don't know. Once this Once this is done.
Big.
Um okay.
X given Okay, so X is equal to um 3 T squared over 2 minus 4 T plus A plus B.
And we're going to have what? 6 T minus T squared plus B.
Uh T equals 1, X is equal to what? Um 5 - 2 So, we're going to get 5 - 2 is equal to 3 over 2 - 4. That's 5 - 5 over 2 + A.
A - 5 over 2.
We're going to have that's 5 + B.
Okay.
A is equal to B is equal to - 7. A is going to be 7.5.
And I know I shouldn't have used A, but X is equal to um Okay, fine.
So, X is equal to 3t squared over 2 - 4t + 7.5. We're going to get 6t - t squared - 7.
Um Yeah.
When I'm done with the paper, you can tell me to just spam all the past paper questions. Yeah, first speed is root 68. What's wrong with that?
Wait, what's wrong with the speed being root 68?
Um Yeah.
3 Yeah. Um We're going to get 3. That's 81. That's 40 point Oh, yeah, I'm not doing this one. Okay, head. Uh 3 over 2 times by 3 squared 12 + 7.5.
Okay, fine.
9 Um And then we're going to have what? 18 - 9. That's 9.
And then - 7. That's 2.
Okay, so position is 9i + 2j.
Let's check my answers. So, you're on I know we're on the right path.
root 68 and 9 + 2. Yeah, cool.
So, mechanics paper so you can revise and do the hinge questions. That's the only place it gets hard. Hinge questions?
Have I lost it? What hinge questions?
Do you mean like moments?
Yeah, first good luck, Nora.
When's the exam? This one's Thursday.
This is the easier exam.
The actual hard one's on Friday, which is further pure. I've just done a further pure paper.
Um okay.
So, A is A fine.
It's the same question, bro.
Okay.
A is equal to t minus 3 over 2t squared and 2 over 3 minus uh t squared plus c plus d um Sorry, v is equal to um t equals 0 um Okay, v is equal to Oh, I can just add c and d. Okay.
So, d is equal to 3 c is equal to -2 So, v is equal to -3/2 t squared + t + 3 i um + 2/3 t cubed - t squared - 2 j.
Tough if you're ready for session 2. I thought people wanted to stream me nice.
Yeah, I agree.
Ladders and that? Oh, yeah, first. We doing all right? No. Hinge on a wall, we don't do that in my exam board and stuff.
Ladders and that. Yeah, I would do a ladder question if it shows up. I'm really tired. I'm probably going to hop off before this [ __ ] paper is over.
I'll tell you that much.
Um B Position vector of P relative to O and the acceleration of Okay, fine. So, we're just going to find the acceleration. X is equal to Oh, sorry.
The acceleration X acceleration.
Um -t³ / 2 um + t² / 2 + 3t + a um Okay, plus what? I'll just add what is initially there.
>> [snorts] >> + 1 Uh and then we're going to have what?
t⁴ / 6 - t³ / 3 - 2t + 1 >> [snorts] >> um Okay.
Parallel to that.
Okay.
Wait, -1 -1 uh Parallel to negative is the same The acceleration Oh, it's so much easier.
>> [snorts] >> Okay, A parallel to -1 1 or 1 -1 um 2t² - 2t is equal to 1 - 3t Do you play chess? Occasionally. Um more of a I'm doing Edexcel, yeah.
I don't son. If that's >> [snorts] >> It's It's pretty light. It's pretty light. Thanks to It's pretty light. Like when you actually get to it, it'll be chill. Trust.
I play chess occasionally. I don't know.
I'm like 1,500 bullet, but that's sort of my main thing. This is mock set four.
So, we're going to get 2 1 - 1.
Okay, cool.
T is greater than zero. T equals 1/2.
X [ __ ] X given T equals 1/2 is equal to Oh, that looks terrible. So, we're going to get -1/16.
+ 1/8 + 3/2 + 1, I think.
Yeah. And then we're going to get T to the fourth. So, we're going to get 6 * 16. That's T to the fourth.
Well, about 1/2 to the fourth over 6.
Thank you.
- 1/24 - 1 + 1 Thank you.
X given T is equal to 1/2 is equal to We'll have what? It's like a telescoping series. So, 1/2 Why am I laughing? Is it not midnight where you are? Yes. Thank you for the roses.
We're all losing the large dataset marks. True. -1/16 + 1/8 + 5/2 41/16 >> Let's check the answer. How much do you keep from gifts? I keep like 1/3 of the value.
It's terrible.
I need tips for maths to get better.
Bison Maths Summaries is great. Just use Bison Maths Summaries and spam past papers.
Do you find maths hard in year 12? Bison Maths. You just use Bison Maths to learn all the content and then Bison Maths and do all the past papers. And if you forget a topic, then use Bison Maths Summaries. That's it.
Um position vector of P. Yeah, I mean, that's it basically, right?
Great.
Great. Full marks.
I'm going to just assume that's correct because my follow-through works.
I'm lazy.
Did OCR you'd run out of space instantly? Yeah, probably. I mean, also I'd write like I'm crazy on an on an iPad. Like I write so much bigger. I write way smaller in person. Is the challenge of maths 11 versus 11? I have no clue about any of the details that you guys like pretty much nothing.
Who is Mayne and Z Shah? I'm more of a Bison guy. Bison is better than Z Shah in my opinion.
What subjects maths further maths computer science? What is paper is this?
Um mechanics mocks at four.
I think I might go to sleep. I'm tired.
I'll be real.
Uh I can't be [ __ ] This is so long.
Look, okay, I should chill. I could do it. I think we're going to sleep. I'm going to revise tomorrow.
You got to learn when to take a break.
Did you ever use TLMaths?
When I was learning how to do integration by first principles, um and I made a video on that, I did use TLMaths to learn the topic before I made my animated video about it.
Um it doesn't mean I copied it. It's maths. You've got to learn it somewhere to teach it, right? Um but yeah, TLMaths is good. He teaches some niche topics. He teaches out of the spec, which is really cool.
Um but I think for actual like Edexcel maths, bisonclaire's.
Zaki and first class maths? I don't I don't know, bro. It's some BS.
I think I'm involved in it technically, but that's just not me. I don't care.
Um yeah.
That's not me. I'm not commenting on that whole thing.
How long you revise today?
Um like 2 hours, 2 and 1/2 hours.
3 hours, maybe. No, a little bit less. 2 and 2 and 1/2 hours.
Mostly going to have applied in further pure one, first.
Kind of same.
Anyways, thank you for watching, YouTube. Have a
