To solve age word problems, assign a variable to the youngest person's age, express others' ages in terms of that variable, set up an equation based on the total age given, and solve for the unknown. For example, if Saka's age is x, Ezie is 5+x, and Trussad is 2(5+x), then x + (5+x) + 2(5+x) = 47 simplifies to 4x + 15 = 47, yielding x = 8, so Saka is 8, Ezie is 13, and Trussad is 26.

Troubleshooting word problems in maths.Added:
What problems in mathematics is about understanding the terms? Let's solve this one easily. Okay. So, first thing you read the whole question. It says Trussad is twice as old as Ezie who in turn is 5 years older than Saka. Okay.
If their total age is 47, how old is each of them? So when you look at this trust age is given which is bent on ess which is bent on saka's age. We don't know saka's age. So let's say let saka's age equals to s. I'm just using the initial for saka. Okay. to S's age now becomes it says who is in tone 5 years older so that's going to be 5 + s uh so what's the difference here anyway you understand so let's say this is x I don't get mixed up 5 + x now let's go back to trussad it say trard is twice as old as essay so trard is 2 * 5 + x because this is SC's age which is just 10 + 2 x right now it says if their total age is 47 so saka plus s plusad equals to 47 years okay so saka is x s is five loss x + side is 10 + 2 x 47.
Now this x this x and this 2x gives you 4 x + this five and this gives you 15 = 47. We need x. So we say - 15 here - 15 here. This and this goes. So 4 x = If you sub this gives you 32 / 4 this by 4 this and this go. So x = 8 this is saka because remember x is suck. Okay. So s is 5 + x which is 13.
Yes. and draw side is 10 + 2x. Okay. So 10 + 2 sak is 8.
This is 16 plus this you can see 26.
Yes. And that is your solution. Okay.
