How Childhood Trauma Can Lead to Addiction and Mental Health StrugglesAñadido:
Every single survivor that I've ever helped has what's known as a psychosocial [music] disability. It's like mental health condition, including myself. I have PTSD. And for many survivors, they don't have the tools in their tool belt to be able to deal with that. It's pretty common for many survivors to even have a dual diagnosis, which means they might have a few different mental health conditions like PTSD and anxiety [music] or PTSD and depression or maybe borderline personality disorders. For many of us, drug and alcohol is the tool in our tool belt. It was mine. But you do know that there are people out there that have walked in your shoes, [music] who have lived experience, who have been through the traumas. About time for justice is one of them. If you've been through institutional child essay [music] and you're suffering in silence, please reach out. We are here for you.
