Tesla’s FSD 14.3.4 shows better driving feel, but its inability to handle basic navigation and lane rules makes it unreliable for professional use. The Las Vegas Strip remains a humbling reminder that smooth braking doesn't equal true intelligence.

Added:Okay, we're back I think. I think.
>> I just keep reloading the turn.
Oh, they're gone.
Oh, cut off.
>> Oh, are we done?
>> Can you just re- restart it?
>> Yeah, yeah.
Oh, come on.
Oh, we're back in another room. Sorry.
>> No.
>> Yeah, it's back on.
>> I'm not.
>> You have to go to a new live stream.
Yeah, I just Sorry guys, it got cut off back there.
Hi Jeff, thank you. Thank you for joining.
Yeah, it went under um near the parking garage of Venetian and then it totally cut off the signal. Oh, okay. It's all the Venetian room, but it didn't let them go.
That was interesting.
You got a stop sign here.
Hello, welcome back folks.
Uh Jeff says, "How much was your Model 3?"
That's the dream right now with FSD.
Um to be honest, I don't I don't know how much.
Cuz it's a lease, so Let me see if I can find the window sticker for you.
>> Is it the front?
>> Yeah. Let's see if we can help Jeff here.
>> There is no cup inside.
>> Oh, I forgot the pin actually. I'll get it for you later though.
Uh do I also invest in Tesla? No, not really.
I do yes through ETFs and mutual funds, but not as a sh- like a sh- stock shareholder, I guess is the right term.
Uh it's not all- wheel. It's a rear-wheel drive premium. But at that time they didn't It was It was right before the tax credit ended, but but it was a lease.
So, I think we are permitted to take a right on red here. There's lots of pedestrians.
Uh nice today. See you soon. All right.
Thank you for joining.
Yeah, for me, you know, I I've owned all the fancy Teslas like Plaid and you know, to be honest, sometimes the cheapest one is the best one.
I I really don't feel like yeah, well, sure the performance may be faster. I'm just going to put my foot over the brake. I don't want in case it jumps, all right.
Okay.
But honestly, the best bang for the buck is is the cheapest one.
Uh no race car. No Why is this entertaining? I don't know.
Okay, good job. Making that We're going to the Paris.
>> Still?
>> Yep. But this time it's it's going in the valet side, which is good.
That's [snorts] the one with a lot of pedestrians.
>> Cool.
>> I don't know what the heck this stream element box is popping up.
>> I don't know.
>> Yeah, but for anybody considering, you know, it's not like the other brand you know, before when I bought other cars like BMW or Mercedes or Porsche, I would always try to go for the top, you know, whatever my budget would allow of course, but to go for the top spec model, but honestly, I bought this car because of FSD. So, I mean, buying you know, it's not Okay, now when you do buy a performance, yeah, you do get a little bit better seats, but to be honest, they're not that that much better in my opinion. Yeah, they're more supportive, but they're not like you know, the jump from going like a like a 330 seat to a full M, you know, seat.
I mean, 27,000, yeah, for a new one, that's an amazing deal.
It's like yeah, it's like the price of a Corolla and no joke.
You want to talk about a inflation busting deal, that's that's a that's a deal.
Speeding equals impound, so no use here.
I know Utah Highway Patrol is getting pretty strict.
Here people drive whatever. It's People do 100 on the highway here.
Look at that. That Model 3 had a wing on it.
>> [laughter] >> Talk about killing your efficiency.
So, let's do this. Let's go to the Paris. We'll take one loop around there and then maybe we'll try Bellagio again.
Trying to think what other hotels. I don't like Caesars because of the speed bumps. They're really brutal speed bumps.
And then we'll probably call it an evening after Bellagio just because my uh >> Huh?
>> assistant here is going to be hungry soon.
>> Hey.
Is that you? Why are you hungry?
>> 6.8 >> Oh, you're a 6.8 seconds.
>> Huh?
Uh Javi, I I'm not sure um it's a lease, so it came out to with tax with local local taxes, came out to about 500 a month.
For zero down, uh 10,000 miles a year.
We have some other cars to drive, so it's not our only car, so we're able to kind of get away with 10,000 miles.
6.8 Yeah, and really to be honest, I in an EV I'm not really I don't really care so much about acceleration, I feel like.
Because of the instant torque, you know.
And I'm using FSD most of the time, so it's not like I I I don't know. I To me, if it did 0 to 60 in like 8 seconds, I probably wouldn't really care.
But if you're driving your car, I totally understand, you know.
Yeah, maybe you want to Hey Jeff, check out check this out. This Corolla in front's from Mexico.
It's from the uh Sonora Sonora.
Is it province they call them provinces right in Mexico? Sonora province.
Yeah, I'm starting to get a little hungry. Not too much. We had a plate lunch so.
>> I eat a lot.
>> You eat a lot.
>> Yeah.
I know I do live stream so I eat.
>> Yeah, she came prepared. She was like Jeff's going to say I'm hungry so.
She ate a little bit more for lunch.
Uh I'm just driving FSD Model 3 while I look at the interior.
Yeah, if you're if you're if you know you're going to be using FSD a lot, I don't see the need to buy it.
The top level trim.
Maybe all wheel drive if you live in a snowy place. But honestly tires play more of a factor than having all wheel drive. I mean I drive a lot and I go to Toronto a lot. So.
To me winter tires are more important than having you know unless you're really climbing in the back country.
You know having to drive through unpaved roads.
But at that point I wouldn't be buying a Model 3 anyway.
I think there's a lot of >> Oh, telling.
>> Yeah, yeah look at this there's a lot of jaywalkers here.
This is always a fun test.
See if somebody jumps out.
>> There are three lanes.
>> Okay, so we got unmarked or barely marked lanes. So everybody's jockeying for position here.
This is always a tricky one cuz sometimes cars dart out of this left kind of pocket here.
Cuz it's signaling. Okay, good job getting out of the valley. You got to get out of the valley? No. You got to get out.
Didn't get out of the villa. Thank you.
Thank you.
It tried to go down the valet only lane.
Okay, just reporting that to the FSD folks. I don't know if they do anything with it though.
Okay, we're going to remove Paris.
>> Oh.
Okay, it's good.
>> Okay, it's just staying outside of the awning, which is good.
Okay, our last test is we're going to do Bellagio and then we're probably going to call it for the evening.
Uh Jeff says needs the Toronto live streams in the future. Yes.
I may do that. I I did end up driving my Taycan to Montreal, so.
>> Mhm.
>> If I have enough miles at the end, I'll do it.
>> Oh, again?
>> Yeah.
>> Yay.
>> 21 people, thank you guys for joining.
If you can do me a favor, definitely help me to hit that like button. That will let other people know that uh we're back on another separate stream.
>> How to get to the >> Okay, so Okay, this is kind of interesting. We >> Turn left. Turn right.
>> Yeah, that's the thing. This is a >> Right.
>> Yeah, this is not right. Okay, so problem.
>> No, you cannot >> I know. I know. This this lane is left right turn only and we need to turn left so that's not going to work.
>> But the navigation does not make sense.
>> Yeah, I mean if it was just me I would let it play out but I don't want to Yeah, we can't.
This is like you could get a ticket for that definitely.
>> You'll kill other people.
>> Okay, let's see what this here. Okay, we're you know what? I got to take over.
I got to take over.
This is stupid.
>> [laughter] >> And again that's that's a mapping issue cuz it should know that that lane is uh only for turning right.
Uh the hotel back there that was Paris and we're trying to get over to Bellagio which is pretty much on the opposite side of Las Vegas Boulevard.
Yeah, FSD fail number two. Yep.
And this this is not meant to make FSD look bad. This is just you know This is uh like think about it as positive criticism.
Yep, definitely. If you guys aren't subscribed, definitely subscribe for more live streams.
So we're going to torture test it again.
So it's basically okay, can't make a U-turn here. It's going to have to make a U-turn down at uh It's going to turn left on Flamingo here, go down about a block and then make a U-turn, come around.
>> Uh the wave feature is still cool.
What's the wave feature?
What is unpaid bug finding? Yeah.
And they don't let me into the early access program.
If anybody knows how to get into the early access program or who I'm supposed to email, definitely let me know.
Okay, this is interesting cuz there's some police right where we need to make a U-turn. I'm not sure if He Yeah, there is a officer there directing traffic.
Pedestrian. Oh, okay. Got you.
I feel like sometimes FSD can read hand signs, sometimes it doesn't.
Maybe one day I'll have to dress up in a like a police Halloween cost Oh, I'll I'll I'll get my friend who's a police officer Try I'll tell Nelson to uh wear his whole uniform and then we'll try it.
I don't know if he'll do it.
It's probably against the department policy to do that.
So, we're going to need to make a U-turn here. We'll see if FSD does it.
>> Can.
>> If it can do it, yeah, we'll see.
>> Can you turn?
>> So, I think this is the first time I've come down to the strip with 14.3.4 and so far it's much better than 3.3.
It's not as jumpy, it's not as, you know, kind of like scaredy-cat type driving.
14.3.3 would slam on the brakes. Like if it a pedestrian darted out.
That's a big For me, that's a big improvement.
Uh only if cops find Teslas for FSD mistakes.
I forgot, was it Ananto was in our other stream and he said he got a ticket Well, I guess using a cell phone while using FSD.
Okay, this guy should go. Let's go.
Okay, see what the cops are doing here.
Okay, the cops weren't really doing anything. That's Okay, let's see if it gets into the correct lane.
Okay, it gets into the correct lane.
Jeff, did you actually test drive the Chinese Model 3 while you're in Toronto, if you're still there?
Premium LEDs and white interior is a must. Yeah, that's my favorite configuration.
Uh sorry, let me see.
Uh Javi, nice stream. What kind of gear are you using, brother? Uh so, I got a Action 6 for the interior and then I I an X5, uh sorry, Insta360X5 for the exterior camera. You can go to 70°. Are you >> cold?
>> You're cold, okay.
Uh on the bucket list, okay.
Yeah, I think if you go to like Yorkdale Mall in Toronto, sorry, I'm just going to inch up a little bit more. I don't want the stream to get cut off.
Oh, shoots. Come on, go up.
No.
>> Okay, it should be good.
>> Are you guys still here? Hopefully you guys are.
That's the one issue with Starlink. I mean, most of the time it's more reliable, but anytime there's any kind of cover.
Hopefully it's still there. Let me check.
Yeah, I think we're still here.
Oh, going back to what gear. Yeah, so um how I blend it together is OBS.
Use OBS for live streaming. I connect that to restream.io.
And then that sends it to YouTube, Twitch, and X.
Uh Yorkdale, he's the real one. He knows all Yeah.
>> [laughter] >> I go to Toronto quite a bit.
Got family there, so.
Uh bro, is it getting 12 bucks an hour?
Yeah.
We We did stop the food delivery, so.
I think at the end Yeah, it wasn't even 20 bucks today.
>> We do >> Like it was like 17 or 18 maybe.
>> hours 45 minutes >> Oh, we got to Okay, we're coming up on another uh pedestrian bridge.
>> I yeah, yeah.
Slowly.
>> Yeah, I'm actually >> Stop here.
>> Okay, we're good here.
Uh we're doing Uber Eats and DoorDash.
Yeah, or we were doing.
Yeah.
But we're probably going to end the live stream after we go to the Bellagio lobby.
Uh robo-taxi will end all of these services. Yeah, I'm I'm that was kind of >> I >> Oops, let me just inch up here real quick.
Sorry.
>> Okay. Let's go.
>> Am I good?
>> Mhm.
>> Sorry, I had to press the throttle to uh inch up.
Yeah, that was kind of the uh point of the channel is to see how close we are as far as using, you know, cuz cyber cabs going to roll out pretty soon. I mean, it seems like there's a really big push as far as production for cyber cabs, so I mean, other than uh ride share, I mean, it can definitely do food delivery.
Uh Jeff says robo-taxi has no arms or patience, so we're going to save, yeah.
Especially with those Sephora orders, right?
Now, when Optimus comes out, that will be a different story.
Okay, so this is kind of interesting or least because cars kind of cut in here.
So, you'll see FSD leaves quite a bit of space.
I mean, I think FSD is just going to do the polite thing and let anybody through.
But now you guys know if you if there's a Tesla, that's probably your best chance of cutting in front if you're trying to squeeze in.
Okay, I'm going to choose pull over.
Going to act like we're dropping off for robo-taxi or cybercab.
Uh let's see. Giffer.
Sorry if I'm Hopefully I'm saying your name right.
Tesla is not going to retrofit hardware three cars cuz they can produce cybercab faster and cheaper than retrofitting old cars.
And they will not sell it to you. You can lease it from them.
There's no plans to sell robo-taxi to consumers, just leasing. Okay.
Yeah, I mean, that's what I understand.
As far as I I agree with you. I I don't I think you know, Elon is just trying to smooth over these customers who have hardware three.
I think at the end of the day he wants them to just buy hardware four cars.
Um as far as cybercab, yeah, I guess leasing makes sense.
But I I don't think they really want to sell them as customers like driving them.
Leasing makes sense, right?
Maybe to uh to like a taxi fleet or something.
But they don't want people driving around cyber cabs. They want cyber cab to be the icon of you know, robot you know, autonomous transport. Okay, so he leaves tons of room for this X5.
I mean, left the size of Texas there.
I mean, you think you're driving in Las Vegas strip, it's like New York City.
You got to get up nice and close.
Yeah, I like the X5 lights. Like how they pulse like the new ones.
This is [snorts] a new one. So, I think you know, when you when you hit the blinker it has like kind of that heartbeat pulsing type uh when you signal.
It's going to be a rug pull in the industry. I agree.
It's going to be a game-changer for sure.
Yeah, tons of people on the strip today.
>> It's Friday.
>> Friday night, so long weekend.
Uh how is like how is it like living in Vegas? Yeah, it's pretty pretty good. I enjoy it.
I mean, other than this time of the year like pretty much July I'm sorry, June, July, August. That's kind of the hottest months. But otherwise, it's pretty good.
>> October.
>> Yeah, but it starts to cool I I would say it starts to cool off around September.
>> October.
>> She's got these cowboy girls. Can you guys see them?
Oh my gosh, she brought her she brought her like kid.
>> Kid?
>> You guys see Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Oh, no, no, it's a guy. Oh, no, no. I thought it was a >> I thought it was a kid.
Sorry. I was like, "Oh, man.
Okay, good job."
Yeah, we didn't have any jaywalkers.
No connection.
>> Hm?
>> Hey Grok, take me to Town Square Mall.
>> [snorts] >> Found Town Square Las Vegas about 3 mi away on South Las Vegas Boulevard. Want me to navigate there or pick another like Town Square Park?
>> Do you want to try and maybe take an order back to the Southwest? Or do you want to just >> he wants Safar.
>> Sorry, could you clarify what you mean by taking an order back to >> Okay, sorry, sorry.
A kid, huh?
>> You want to go to Safar?
>> I thought No, they were those, you know, there's the uh showgirls who like wear the uh costumes and were barely wearing anything. I was worried that uh she was bringing her kid down, you know, >> Is that what >> with her to work.
But I think it was like a family member.
I feel like a lot of these costume people, they're actually coming over from uh maybe from Mexico or something.
>> [cough and clears throat] >> Uh NYC mode should come out. Yeah, that that'd be They need like instead of a Mad Max, they need to do NYC mode.
Uh I'm stuck in two MY car. Is that like Model Y or Model Y cars?
$20 a click is more than Uber. Yeah.
Okay, we'll see how it gets out of here.
>> Uh hurry up.
>> Hurry up.
>> Go go go go go.
>> Go go go go go.
>> Go go go.
>> I'm pushing the throttle just get us through.
Okay, very good job.
Oh, it's stuck with two hardware three cars. Got it, yeah.
Yeah, the whole hardware three debacle.
I mean, I feel bad for anybody that paid for FSD.
>> Look at this car.
>> Oh, wow.
>> Looks like a Christmas tree.
>> Okay, it's jockeying for position here.
Has to get over. Come on, get over. Go go go.
>> Oh, maybe maybe they can't see the Christmas tree car.
>> Yeah.
>> I don't know.
>> No, he's turning around.
>> Oh.
>> Can't see it.
>> It's just like a Christmas tree.
>> Yeah, so you have two Model I'm sorry, you have two hardware three cars.
I want to tell you to shout out the window mumbling and see how a pedestrian reacts.
>> What? What?
>> Jeff wants to get you beat up tonight.
No, no, I'm joking. [laughter] >> There's no way.
>> Jeff, tomorrow tune in to the free Model 3 live stream, okay, if you can, cuz you're going to see some craziness there.
Uh what top camera are you using? Uh it's a Insta 360 X5 360 camera.
>> You should >> Yeah, I feel like with the money that Tesla has, he should just make hardware three owners whole.
I I it's going to cost a lot of money, especially if you paid for hardware I mean, if you paid for FSD when you bought it a when you bought a hardware 3 car. I feel like Tesla should just do, you know, goodwill and do the right thing and just return the money. I feel like it's going to be a big bill, but if anybody has the money, it's Elon, right?
Okay, lots of honking.
Lots of pissed off folks.
All right, we're out of that mess.
Uh Jeff says, "Is hardware 3 that bad?"
Um to be honest, I haven't been in a hardware 3 car in a long time, so I can't really answer.
But uh I think it's it like next to a hardware 4 car, it's probably like better than any other, you know, 8S system out there, but it's just not going to deliver on what it promised.
Yeah, it's more buggy, yeah.
Hardware 3 is getting better, but does not have all the features to like uh push to FSD places.
It hasn't been updated in 2 years. Yeah, it's still running V version 12, right?
Uh Emonds, yo, hey.
Thank you for joining.
Uh it will not be unsupervised ever, yeah.
Especially when they made that promise, right?
I mean, I feel like these are some of Tesla's most loyal supporters. I I mean, I know people that have that are very loyal supporters, that have hardware 3 cars and have been big supporters of the brand, and they just don't, you know, they don't have the money to upgrade as often as, you know, and they were believers in the fact that now they're not going to get, you know, what they paid for. To me, that's uh that's that's really a slap in the face.
That's why to me, I I always say I'm going to lease the Teslas because I care about the latest, you know, if you don't care about FSD and, you know, you're okay manually driving the car for the next 10 years, by all means, you know, get buy the car cash, but I know I'm going to want the latest and greatest and you know, whether it's hardware five, six, seven, you know, and to me, that's where leasing makes way more sense than uh than buying it.
Sorry, so I was thinking it was a cop next to me.
Uh should I wait for hardware five cuz hardware four will look outdated when hardware five comes out?
Um yeah, it's you know, that's always the question. It's like buying a computer or a lighter iPhone. Do I wait for the next best one?
Let's ask eight rock.
Is there any timeline of when uh FSD hardware five will be out?
>> No official timeline yet, but Elon Musk's recent posts and reports point to Tesla AI five, aka FSD hardware five, having small numbers in vehicles by late 2026 with high volume production in mid-2027.
Earlier estimates like late 2025 got pushed back due to production ramps.
>> Okay, so it says 2026, which is right, I mean later this year, but Uh hardware 5 needs to go to Optimus first.
Yeah, okay.
What is What is the time I haven't I haven't been following Optimus, but what is the timeline on that?
But it seems like cars is the thing that people are really watching in the space, right? Like Optimus But I don't know, I may be wrong.
But I feel like if he were to get to or if Tesla were to get to unsupervised you know, FSD, that would be a real headline generator for the company.
Uh I'll wait then laugh at her. Yeah.
I mean, if you can wait that's going to always be the way to go.
Uh lease options for computers on wheels the way to go.
It's like a PC. Yeah, it's pretty much it truly is a kind of I mean, people say a lot of cars are computers on wheels, but this is a truly a computer on wheels.
Are you uh You got Uber on?
>> [cough] >> Yeah, but >> Nothing?
>> No, they >> Oh.
>> They >> Yeah, we'll drive down to uh Town Square Mall if anybody's familiar. It's just a mall down at the end of the strip, and then we'll probably end the stream there, guys.
Uh cyber cab will be the iPhone of cars.
Yeah, that'll be uh I mean, that's going to be the true test of unsupervised, right?
Cuz I mean, right now, Yes, there is unsupervised robo-taxi in some markets like you know, Austin, Houston, Dallas, but in very small numbers.
Uh I'll give Elon a call and then try to be the first one with 20 Yeah.
I wish Tesla would take on a modular design so you could hot swap. Yeah, that that'd be cool.
But then he really wants to sell a car, right? Or does he? I mean, if you look at the way that Tesla's going, I mean, they're really not focusing on areas you think they would like a like man, like look at this Escalade. I I think if they really wanted to sell something really profitable, a large, you know, seven-seat, three-row SUV, that would sell like bananas.
Yeah, I mean, there to me like come on, what sells in America is a large SUV. Like, okay, maybe not maybe you don't go as large as the Escalade, but like a Telluride, right? That or X5 like that's something people would like take my money kind of thing.
They're talking about the van. Vans just don't sell well in America. They sell well in other parts of the world, but America just has too much association vans and soccer mom cars, you know, it's not going to sell well.
Uh I pitched the idea to Ford years ago, said, "What if the infotainment system would be hot swappable and they said they would lose money by not selling new cars. Yep.
All my 2020 Model Y still getting uh updates. Yeah.
I used to have a Mach-E, so I I know um I don't think I think I got one or two updates on a Mach-E and it was they were pretty much you couldn't tell what if anything was updated.
Uh what are you using to stream two cameras at one time? Um I'm basically hooking them up to my laptop in the back and then using OBS.
Yeah, if you're curious, yeah, hit me up on X. Same uh handle.
Autonomous Seats. If you want to, you know, live stream, I'll show you how to hook all that up.
Sorry, the road's kind of bumpy here, so it's hard to read.
Uh yep, it's running on OBS on a Mac in the back.
Just my uh I had an old MacBook Pro M1 that I'm using.
Uh the new Escalade is on the radar.
Self-closing door would be uh a gentleman without moving a muscle.
Yeah. I think isn't it Escalade IQ, right? You can close the rear doors with the touch of the button.
Yes, Tesla should have a fan. Yeah, I mean, that's that's something that would sell like hotcakes. Yet, it doesn't seem like they're really interested in developing.
They're only interested in a in like a Model Y and a Model 3.
And let's face it, even sedans are are a dying breed, especially in America.
Like well, I don't think Model 3 sales are really doing all of that that well.
I think if they really wanted to sell something and, you know, make a ton of money off of it, a large SUV.
You look at Ford, Ford doesn't even sell I don't even think they sell a sedan in America anymore.
In other markets, yeah, they do, but not the not in America.
Uh which do you do more of, DoorDash or Uber? Definitely more uh well, it's 50/50, I would say.
Yeah.
Just because on DoorDash, I try and keep platinum status, but on Uber, it's kind of like where we don't care about the acceptance acceptance rate.
Uh yes, that would be an awesome car. R2 Rivian R2 with FSD.
Getting anything good?
>> No.
>> Okay, we're arriving at Town Square.
So guys, we'll probably wrap up the stream here.
Um but yeah, to just touch back on that R2, yeah, or I haven't driven R2, but I have an R1T right now. I mean, I love Rivian as a company.
Their service in the Las Vegas area, unfortunately, has been kind of hit or miss.
Um Very good slowing down for the speed bump there.
Okay, it slows down for the speed bump, very good.
Excellent.
Yeah, but I'll probably not Yeah, I have an R2 on order, but I'll probably not get one. No FSD, yeah.
Even though they're making a push, right, with um what's Rivian system called? I forgot.
But from what I hear it's basically like autopilot a couple years ago. It's not it's nowhere close to FSD.
Yep.
All right guys, we're probably end the stream here. Thank you guys for all joining in and hanging out.
And subscribe we'll definitely do another one.
Um probably early next week. But maybe if we do have time. But if you guys like to watch some live streaming tomorrow we'll probably be go down to on on my wife's channel Osaki walks we'll probably go down to Fremont Street check out the fireworks.
So if you guys want to check that out definitely tune in to her channel.
>> What time? You didn't tell me.
>> Oh what time? I don't even know what time.
>> [laughter] >> The fireworks at 9:00.
>> 9:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Pacific.
>> We'll be there at 8:30.
>> Okay 8:30. So there you go. 8:30 on the Osaki walks channel.
Uh It's funny if people turn it can't do it. Yeah, I know it's it's not quite the Rivian system is not quite there yet.
Okay, I'm going to end the stream here guys. Have a great evening. Take care now.
Bye-bye for now.
>> Bye-bye.
>> Bye-bye.
I got to get out tonight in the stream.
