Norfolk Birding

[00:00:22]Well, two days are never the same here in Norfolk. Well, Berden in general, I suppose. Um, it's very quiet along the east bank here today or this morning.

[00:00:33]Um, so I'm heading up to the beach.

[00:00:37]See if we can pick out any turns or anything going by.

[00:00:43]Uh, yeah, such a contrast. Summer was out yesterday. It was really warm and uh it's very cloudy today, but uh he had a lot of bearded tits yesterday and they just seem to be very active over the reads and I've not heard one this morning. Not seen one. Lots of sedan reed wobblers.

[00:01:06]Um I did just have a nice I think it was about seven bartailed godwits.

[00:01:12]Um, some really good summer plumage.

[00:01:17]So, I'm just wondering if it's going to come out cuz I was into the sun. So, uh, put them on anyway. Uh, but yeah, I'm going to continue to the beach and, uh, see if there's anything decent flying past.

[00:02:17]>> [music] >> pretty quiet on the sea as well. Um few little turns, common turns, sandwich turns, couple of med goals.

[00:02:58]Uh, but even the even the sea looked like it had run out of energy today. Um, yeah, that's how it goes. Uh, so I'm just going to head back now along the east bank. Uh, yeah, there this there still been good numbers. It's just sometimes you expect a lot more than you actually get. Um, but uh is what it is.

[00:03:27]Oh, for God's sake. I did have a very dark looking wheat here. Um, it really has got me scratching my head. So, if anybody any ideas why this wheat here is so dark. Um, I can't see it being any other race of wheat here other than northern wheat here. Um, but I've just never seen one as dark as that before. Um, yeah.

[00:03:52]Let me know what you think if uh if you got any thoughts on it. It's got me baffled.

[00:05:37]>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Well, what was a pretty quiet morning for me at Cly has turned out to be quite an exciting one. Um, with a hoo uh turning up right in the same area as my parents. So, um, I've whipped down. I was just getting the paper and uh, word came in of of where it was. So, I've uh, literally round the corner and um, and there it was. Hubu in the front garden.

[00:09:06]didn't take any pictures of it in the garden because it's uh it's not very nice for people to see someone pointing a lens at uh their windows. So, um anyway, it got flushed cuz they let the dog out clear. They clearly didn't like anybody um sort of put looking into their front garden. So, uh which is absolutely fair enough, but it flew onto the roof of a house. Uh, so managed to get some quick pictures and uh and then he got chased off by a crow. But uh I can tip that for the yearless. What cracking bed?
