A comprehensive eye examination includes multiple tests: visual acuity testing (reading letters at distance), reading vision assessment (reading numbers at close range), contrast sensitivity evaluation, glare testing to simulate night driving conditions, intraocular pressure measurement for glaucoma screening (a silent disease that can cause gradual vision loss without symptoms), and pupil dilation to examine the retina and optic nerve.

Unintentional ASMR - Eye Exam Dark ScreenAdded:
So, you're having trouble with your vision?
And you need a vision exam? No problem, I can do that for you.
All right, let me just pull you up on my computer.
All right, we're going to go ahead and check your vision.
We're going to cover your left eye. You see the monitor down behind you there?
We're going to cover the left eye and look through the hole with the right.
And what do you read right there?
Good. Good. Now, we're going to do the other eye.
And we're going to go up to here again.
And read that.
And here?
And here?
All right, how about there?
Good job. All right.
Okay, we're going to go ahead and check your reading vision now, okay?
Looking at No, right right here. Looking at the numbers on the left side of the card.
What's the smallest row you can read left to right for me?
Right there? Good. Okay.
All right, let me go ahead and throw your script in here. Actually, let me borrow your glasses for a minute and get the prescription off of them and I'll be right back.
You have to edit that.
Okay. You have to edit that. All right, go ahead and set those aside. We're going to use our big pair of glasses.
All right.
Okay.
All right, now looking at the Z up there and this being one, is it better one or two?
One?
One or two?
Good.
Perfect. Good job. Okay, same thing other eye.
Now, I'm going to go ahead and check your glare. This is going to stimulate car lights at night, so you know.
Okay.
See the biggie?
If I do this, does it disappear? Yeah.
Okay. Same thing, other eye. I'm just going to switch over.
See it now?
And gone? Okay. Okay.
Go ahead and check your pressures.
Okay, this is the glaucoma check. We do this every time you come in just because glaucoma is a quiet disease and you don't know you have it unless you can feel the pressure in your eye. If you feel the pressure pushing on the front of your eye, it's probably pushing on the back of your eye and slowly taking your vision. So, rather than you coming in with pain and pressure, really high numbers, we monitor it for you every time you come in and this way if it starts creeping up, we give you drops to bring it back down and maintain your vision, okay? So, I'm going to put a little stinging just stinging a little bit, then it'll go numb, gooey, sticky, and then wash out.
>> [sighs] >> Yeah.
Down a little bit.
Here we go.
Okay, look down at your right.
Look down a little.
Good.
All right, go ahead and sit back.
Okay.
You can wipe your eyes.
The next thing I'm going to do is go ahead and dilate you, okay? I want Once I put these drops in, it's going to take about 15 minutes to take effect. Once it takes effect, it's going to last about 4 hours blurring your vision at near only.
So, you'll be blurry from about the front uh city of corridor dash, but from the end of the car on you should be clear, okay?
Good.
Okay, blink.
Good job.
All right.
Your pre-check here with me is over. I'm going to have you have a seat seated in our dilation area and then uh Jessica will come get you to fill out your paperwork.
Right this way.
>> [clears throat] >> Have you have a seat right here in our dilation area. You can watch some videos on cataract surgery. Once your eyes are dilated, Jessica will come out and get you and we'll see you next time. Have a great day.
Okay, let's just check and see how your eyes are doing here.
Good.
Okay, you're ready. Right this way.
Have a seat right in here.
This is Jessica. She's going to take over for me today.
Let's go ahead and lay everything down for you.
Well, um she closed your phone on the computer.
All right.
Okay.
Dr. Shinichi will be in to see you shortly, okay? You have a great day.
It's a pleasure talking to you.
Bye.
