This video demonstrates practical metal repair techniques for farm equipment, including using an impact gun with a socket to remove tines, a 9-inch grinder to cut off brackets, and arc welding to attach new components. The process involves cleaning the metal surface, measuring alignment, tack welding to secure pieces, and then fully welding the frame to restore the equipment's functionality.

INSURANCE WROTE THIS OFF… CAN I SAVE IT?Added:
Good morning, boys and girls, ladies and gents. Welcome back to another lovely video.
We are back on the bell squeeze. You would have seen it probably in the previous video uh where I debuted the mower.
Um [snorts] so, got to finish cutting all these brackets off. Um got to get these tines out. The first thing I'm going to do is get the tines out.
And then we can lay it flat and it'll actually stay flat.
Use the big old 9-in grinder probably cut these off. Cut them off, clean it all up.
Uh get all this flaky paint on and then we've got to get the brackets off of that, weld them onto here.
And then we can get onto painting the old girl.
Now obviously a new one of these probably about 1,000 lb. If I valued my time probably wouldn't be worth doing it, but I don't really value my time that much, so it's worth doing it. Right, I'm going to move it over to the workshop and then we will get on with getting those tines out. I've got to go up and down with the gun a little bit just to make sure that they're nice and free.
Um and then try and whack the tines out.
And then it can lay flat, hopefully. Oh, my Italian ladder door I broke it the other day. Lost the bottom hinge.
Rather annoying.
Especially as I'm going to have to now weld it back on there, which is going to bubble all the paint up like mad.
But anyway, enough about Italian ladder.
Let's get on with this bell squeeze.
Right.
I'm going to get the old earmuffs because the old impact gun's quite loud.
But actually I don't know where the impact gun has gone. I had it earlier.
Ah, so there. Got the impact gun here.
We're going to need that and a big old socket which is size of I don't know, that big. Right, let's get these tines off. So, I've just got to go up and down A FEW TIMES.
>> SPIN IT LIKE THAT JUST TO CLEAN THE THREAD UP.
LOVELY.
NOW, when I put it back on, I'm going to copper grease the hell out of it.
Right, let's leave that like that ready for a big old sledgehammer. Do the same to this side.
Oh, that's pretty free as well.
Now, I'll just grab the old sledgehammer.
Right, let's see how easy or not easy they're going to come out.
Oh, that one was easy.
>> [snorts] >> Oh, that's one turn out of there.
Lovely. Put that back on so I don't lose it.
And that is the second one.
This means I can lay it flat in the workshop or out here to cut it off.
Lovely.
Right, I'm going to lower the telly arm down and we'll start cutting these brackets off with the 9-in grinder.
Might slide it on a little bit as well cuz it's going to fall off. I've got the bad boy 9-in grinder. Get those cut off.
I'm going to time lapse that. It's going to be a little bit boring.
>> [music] [music] [singing] >> Right, I have finally got all of this cut off.
Got the old brackets cut off of that.
All the old brackets cut off of this.
Ready to weld this frame onto here.
So, then it'll fit my tractor and then I can give it a lick of paint. Um so, I've just got to line this up, grind the old paint back, and we're going to arc weld it.
Mainly because I've run out of gas, but two, I don't mind a bit of arc welding.
So, we're going to arc weld it on there and just see how we go, really.
Um I've said I've just got to clean it up, get tape measure, measure from there and to there. I'm just going to line the top up with the very top block there.
So, it shouldn't be too hard to line it up.
Get that painted on there. Get that welded on there.
And then give it some paint.
How easy.
Um didn't film much of the cutting all this stuff off cuz it was quite a bit of hard work.
Um and obviously it's raining a hell of a lot. Right, going to grind that up.
Get that cleaned up and weld that on there.
>> [music] [singing] >> Taking it nice and slow.
So, don't let go.
>> [music] >> Hold on tight. Don't look back. Close your eyes.
Yeah, we'll find [music] our paradise.
All right, I think we found a reason.
About time. Tell me if you feel it. Oh, no.
>> [music] >> This is our shot.
Green light, keep on running.
Feels like we earned something. All [music and singing] we know is this is our shot.
Give it [music] all we got.
So, what you say [music] we put this thing in motion? Catching [singing] daylight with the windows open. Breathe it Yeah, we're just breathing [music] it in.
So, don't let go. Hold on tight. Don't look back. Close your eyes.
Yeah, we'll find our Right, that's got tack welded there. Tack welded just there. Just needs to get a G-clamp or something to close this gap. And then I can sort of fully weld it with any luck, but it's pretty much lined up where I need it.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Don't let go. [music] Hold on tight.
Don't look back. Don't close your eyes.
We're finding paradise.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> It doesn't really matter what we do.
Don't let the moment [music] pass us by.
Just trust that the universe is right.
