The reason they were silent on this is because they wanted Joe Biden to be the empty vessel president because with the auto pen, they could get all of their wildest dreams passed. The Biden presidency was an exercise in filling an administration with dark money operatives and using the presidency as a puppet to push the craziest things they've ever seen. You think Joe Biden himself has strong feelings about EV tax credits and yet it was the centerpiece of his entire administration because they didn't care about Joe Biden. They just needed an inoffensive puppet to sit in the place and they didn't throw him out because they wanted him to continue to do that.
