Why people stayed at dying Apple

[00:00:00]Well, Apple was about 90 days away from going bankrupt back then in the early days and um uh it was much worse than I thought [music] when I went back initially.

[00:00:11]But, there were people there who >> [music] >> I'd expected all the good people would have left.

[00:00:17]And I found these miraculous people, these great people and I said, "What?"

[00:00:22]I I tried to ask [music] this as tactfully as I could, "Why are you still here?"

[00:00:26]And [laughter] And you know, a lot of them had this little phrase. [music] Uh they said, "I cuz I bleed in six colors." Yeah. Which was the old six-color Apple logo. And um that was code for because I love this what this place [music] stan- stands for or at least stood for.

[00:00:45]And um and that just made all of us want to work that much harder [music] to have it survive and have those values survive and bring it back.
