The video provides a firm restatement of traditional Catholic moral theology, emphasizing the classic distinction between the sinner and the sin. While doctrinally consistent, it highlights the growing friction between ancient dogma and the evolving social understanding of identity.

Are Catholics Shocked by Synod Report on Homosexuality & Sin?Added:
Well, here's my question in these five or six minutes that we have left. Um, the Senate report suggests that homosexual relationships may not be sinful. They even named Dr. Nicolo's uh approach to people who have same-sex attraction as being >> Dr. Nicolo's approach is sinful. Is that right?
>> Yeah. Can you imagine that?
>> Yeah. That that's sinful.
>> Yeah.
>> What? Wait, I'm going to tell you something that they did.
>> What did they do? This this goes back to what uh uh Pope Leo said at the at the almost at the outset.
>> Uh well, no, no, no, I shouldn't say that. I remember >> at the outset he said at the outset he said he's going to follow Francis.
>> Uhhuh.
>> That's what he said. And that's no surprise. And he was faithful to his word. Unfortunately, he's following Francis.
>> Yeah.
>> And cinidality is going to be the the uh the direction we're >> What a mistake. A terrible mistake. And but but uh he also said we have to things can't change until we have a change of attitude.
>> Oh, I remember that comment. Yes.
>> Remember that?
>> Yes.
>> Our our attitudes have to change. Well, he didn't waste too much time, did he?
>> No.
>> Because this is an attitude. This is a a grave mortal sin. Homosexual acts.
>> Again, let's distinguish. Make the things active. Yeah. Go ahead.
>> Very important. Nobody is condemning a man or a woman who is a homosexual. That is not what we're talking about. We're talking about actions. We're talking about deeds. All right?
>> And this is one of the sins that cries to heaven for vengeance. Old Testament.
These are not my words. That's it. Uh it whatever whatever the point was uh that can't change.
>> Nope. I don't know what what they who are they kidding that they're going to change this because attitudes have changed. Whose attitudes? The clergies.
Well, I wonder I'm going to try to be careful here.
>> Yeah. Be careful.
>> I wonder why I wonder why that is.
>> Yeah, exactly.
>> I wonder why I wonder why so many so many of the clergy are in are in favor of this change.
>> I don't wonder at all. I know. And so do you. Yeah.
>> But here's the thing, too.
uh it can't change. It's not going to change. No. But here's what here's of this last uh nonsensical statement that came out of the the cinnid cenodal study.
>> What really irked me >> tell me >> was the criticism that was given to courage.
>> Yes, I saw that.
>> I've told you this many times.
>> Harvey, I knew him personally on this program. Yeah.
>> Well, Father Harvey was a Father Harvey and I were friends.
>> I didn't realize that. Great.
>> And and he asked me he asked me to uh to help in Manhattan.
>> Wow.
>> Which I did.
>> Good.
>> Which I did at St. John the Evangelist Parish.
>> Oh, yes.
>> There were a group of about 40 >> Mhm.
>> same-sex attracted.
>> Yes.
>> Males.
>> Mhm.
>> If you would have if you would have seen if you would have seen how how handsome this whole group was, you wouldn't believe it. Uh men in between between 20 and 30. Yeah. The majority of work.
>> Sure.
>> Handsome, well-dressed, everything else, refined.
>> Sure.
>> Educated.
>> They came together once a week for a meeting.
>> Uh sort of if if I can if I can uh uh say this, it's sort of in the in the u the nature of Alcoholics Anonymous.
>> Yes. Right.
>> That kind of thing. Right. I nobody's nobody's an alcoholic anonymous thing, but it's it's >> everyone would tell how his week went.
>> Yeah.
>> What was there any progress in this?
Where nobody tried to change anybody, >> right?
>> This is what a lie that is to accuse them that that people were they were trying to do reverse reverse uh >> re force therapy. What nonsense. What garbage that is. That's an absolute lie.
Anyway, these men, these men, these young men would put to shame most of the clergy.
>> Wow.
>> By their pious lives, their lives of prayer.
>> It's awesome.
>> They've they've taken their cross.
>> Yes.
>> They understand this is a cross and they're to bear it. They're to carry this and they do so. And they've developed great friendships in in these groups of support for one another.
>> That's awesome.
>> This is horrible. This is what they're condemning.
>> You know, this is this is outrageous.
This is outrageous. And and I'm going to tell somebody, anybody who's listening, if you know somebody with same-sex attraction who is having a problem, whether it be a man or a woman, >> Yeah.
>> in having a problem in life, contact courage.
>> Exactly.
>> Contact courage. You can't lo What would you miss if you went to one or two or three meetings and you didn't like it?
Just stop going to the meetings. That's all. It's very simple. Nobody's going to call you up and get a send a policeman to look for you. You're you're free.
You're free as the wind. But but uh to criticize a Catholic movement dedicated to helping people get to heaven Yeah.
>> is outrageous. Outrageous.
>> Outrageous.
>> Well, this is my challenge. And that's why I respect the bishop in Europe, the Swiss bishop, who was willing to publicly point out that we have a problem in our church with the clergy and homosexuality. And I'll say I have to say even back in the late 60s when Bishop Sheen was a was a bishop of a dascese in Rochester, New York, onethird of the class of priests that were going to be ordained. He sent them away because he came in and he did an investigation on his own and he reviewed the men and said, "No, you're going to be a this is going to be a headache for the church. This you're not qualified to become a priest." 33% of them.
>> Harry, let me share with you. I love that word. Let me share >> that with you.
>> Uh uh a a gentleman wrote me >> Yeah.
>> a letter.
>> He's a father a father of a of of a of a of a family American.
>> Yeah. He wrote me and told me uh uh that his son is an air uh is an airline pilot, >> flies commercial flights.
>> Sure.
He said, "My son, after he got his license and all of the training that he needed, has to go through an exam every year, an annual exam every year to see that he's fit to continue flying."
>> Mhm.
>> Sure.
>> Because he holds in his hands when he's doing these commercial flights.
>> Yeah. Hundreds.
>> The lives of hundreds of people.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I get it. Again, he should >> this this this this gentleman wrote me.
He said, "With all respect, wouldn't it be a good idea >> to have such to have somebody in charge of visiting all the clergy to make sure that once a year there's a checkup on them, see how they're doing. Yes.
>> For for for all sorts of things. Uh health health problems, health things, too. Many of the clergy, you know, many priests are the last people to go to see a doctor.
>> That's true.
>> We're we're famous for that. priests and nuns. We never go to see doctors.
>> We we'll tell other people to go, but we don't go.
>> But he said, "Wouldn't it be great?
Wouldn't it be great to have an annual >> check-in checkup?"
>> What a great idea.
>> Just to see how you're doing. Do you still hold the faith?
>> Yeah.
>> Do you still believe everything that's supposed to be believed? Are you preaching correctly?Uup all of these things every year. He said, "If my son has to do that because he's taking care of the lives of people, how about their souls?"
>> Aren't those more important?
>> I thought it was >> Thank you for sharing that letter. That made the whole show for me. If you like the message of Virgin Most Powerful Radio, type in under comments, Jesus is King.
