JCB MUCKING OUT / WASHING THE COUSINS / MASSEY FERGUSON 699 update本站添加:
Morning all. That is Tuesday morning, a day after the bank holding. Went to visit my brother um up in Cambridge here where he was doing that um pump sorting that out and then met up with Tom Coxall. So that was really good to go and meet them all and uh see what they all been up to. That was really good. So here behind me you have a field of maze uh that was drilled um well that's that was about a month ago now I would say.
Um you can see all the rolls all coming up quite nicely. Um I just haven't been able to get this way um just to show you this sort of um drilled work. So this was um cultivated um instead of plowed on here. So we didn't sort of disturb the soil too much. Um it's on quite quite a light sort of soil. Um but you can see they're doing well. So anyway, we'll get the camera turned around and have a good look.
So there they are.
It's quite nice. As you look across there, you can see how regular they've been planted. So, this was planted with Simon and their um Amazon drill that they had. So, yeah, they're getting away quite nicely.
That's really cool. Look, look at the space in them. Look how regular they are. Look at that. Look all the way up.
We did put some muck on here as well.
So, this is a little bit of a progress update on um on the maze that was planted. Um I can't remember the exact date, but um when I edit the video, I'll try and find a date and put it at the bottom um so you can see an exact date, but uh yeah, this is on quite a light field.
This is just looking down the headland.
We're in for quite a warm day again today. I'll be into uh 30° plus.
But anyway, this is the headland.
It's very nice. Just walking back, it seems to be little little beads of water on there. Don't know if it'll focus. No, it won't. Little beads of water on the leaves.
Interesting.
Look at that.
Little oak tree growing.
There we are.
And I thought just while on this end of the farm, I just pop into this sugar beat field. So, this was um one that had been drilled after we had someone come out and uh basically look at the drill and op and al alter the um air pressure.
Um it was a verd tempo. the the one on the farm. The the air pressure wasn't quite set correctly. So, uh yeah.
Anyway, look at look at this one.
It's looking really well today.
So, yeah, I think they will be just about meeting for the suffuk show.
Probably should explain a little bit better. Um so, if the rows are meeting, so they're drilled at 18 in spacing. if the leaves are touching. Um, so that's actually joining together by the Suffach show, you're in for a really good crop.
Um, they used to say the Norfolk show, you'll be in for a good crop. But yeah, if you if you get it touching by the Suffukk, that's definitely a good crop.
I mean, this dry spell we had, they're going to be putting roots down, so it's going to create that nice shaped sugarbeat root. Um, but there you go.
Look.
You do have quite a few hairs about here as well. So, one or two gaps that are that are there could be through hairs.
But, um, yeah, looking all right. Yeah, they are definitely looking like a proper sugarbeat plant now that they are proper leaves as we all recognize. But, yeah, doing well this morning.
Yeah, it is the 26th of June today.
Right, I better get to the farm now. Go and get on with some work. So, uh, I'm normally in pretty early, so, um, I just thought I'd have a wander over here and just show you the crop progress, um, as it's going sort of quite warm and and that. But anyway, see you in a bit. I'll be back at the farm. So, you join me again. We're in the, uh, loader. We're going to finish mcking that yard out this morning. And what a lovely morning that is. A little bit fresh to start with. Oh, Radley's in the uh, ax in eyeball, buddy.
Yeah. The only thing is with this morning we'll be loading into the sun cuz see sun rises in the east and that is eastly.
Radley will back through there in a minute. Really see much. Yeah. Just see Radley is uh struggling to get in there with this big tractor. So uh I didn't weren't sure it could go in the yard, but um he's going to put the little one.
Hey, you're putting the little one on, aren't you?
>> Put the little one on, aren't you?
Look at old Vulcan man in there this morning. Look. Look at them guns. Look.
Yeah, boys.
>> Right. I'll get this uncooked for you.
>> Is that floated? I'll get it undone.
>> Yeah. Just get a change tractor.
I didn't think that would go in the yard, but we thought we'd try cuz that was on the trailer. We just got the little tractor. So, we're going to get that um splitter just dropped off there cuz that's been used at the weekend. I'm just looking as well. I need to get this carrier dropped off. That's all washed down and greased up. So, I need to get that dropped off and get the cousins on really. Um there's some side plates.
That's a little job we can do. Get that done, Bradley, can't we? Um I will just flick over the plow as well cuz that'll need a bit of a wash. But, um yeah, that is all good to go though. There ain't uh Well, we didn't use it, did we? you know, cuz we had that other plow, didn't we? So, um, but anyway, right, let's get this dropped off.
There we come.
That's a better size track. We can get that in there now. Bradley's on it.
Get that reversed up.
Yeah. For those of you who don't know, there is actually a little mirror at the top there. You can see what's going on down there.
You should be able to bag out straight on.
There you go, mate.
me float. Put the pipe in, mate. So, I just got the first grab full on and ready to go. The trailer's uh ready.
Just going to back him in there.
He's really tight getting in there, to be honest. So, probably best to have that smaller tractor. I just don't think that big tractor get in here, but we'll see in a minute how tight it is.
Little bit of moisture in there somewhere.
Anyway, yeah, it's a bit naughty in the sun this morning. You can see they are that is what it is as they say. Oh, that's better. I'll keep the arm up there.
But yeah, you can just see that it's really tight there and at the other side where the gutters are when he's far enough. Just let that down.
There we go.
And he's in.
That'll do, bud. Lovely job. I load out from there.
I'll let the trailer go down. Then we'll plunk it in.
So, this is the first load going in out of the backyard. Oh, that sun is in my eyes. Okay.
Right. So, you get the general idea.
This is what we're up to today. Um, knocking this backyard out. We got plenty to go at. Son's a bit naughty.
Anyway, see you all in a bit. I think we're running out of space down the other end. So, I am just going to follow Bradley down there um just to um have a bit of a clear up, make a bit of space.
So, uh we'll go and have a look down the other end.
Yeah, we're just heading down the lane.
Uh go and sort this mucky out.
And that' be nice to have one of them uh black fence what we saw yesterday.
Yeah, that'd be pretty cool. Have one of them one day. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.
Just got to get this on content. Look at these sugar beat up a line here. Look.
God, I bet they're nearly touching in a row.
That's one thing. You can clearly see those um circles. So, all being well, I'll try and get the drone up today.
We'll have a look, see what exactly what they are.
So this is the uh mucky to just sort of push that bit up which you can see there. I'll just have a go with this bit here now and um get that pushed up and then we can get a little bit more down this side. Should should be that other yard then and then I'll be ready to be spread next year.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
So there we are. Just pushed that little bit up so we can get some more on this side here. That should take all that yard on here then. So uh right, let's get back to the yard and get some more mugging out done. Right. So just quickly, I just had to stop and get this. Look, you remember what I was saying this morning about touching in the rose? There you go.
Touching in the rose. Look. And that is before the suffuk show.
What do you reckon to that? Eh.
So yeah, they are really marching along up on this field. I don't know what it is. We haven't done anything different, but they are just getting away up here.
Really are.
They just stopped a minute down the line, but look, this is a spring barley.
Look, spring barley's now coming out in here. Um you can see in the distance as well looking up towards the farm. Uh that's the field where the sugar beat story is. Yeah. So obviously just heading back to the farm. It does really make you wonder how on earth um these plants surviving, aren't they? How dry it's just getting. So anyway, they do look all right.
Did Heat.
Heat.
So, we got quite a bit of the yard out now. You can see we're uh we're getting there with it. But obviously that dried out because I done some uh end last week when we sort of emptying grain stores and bits and pieces. But uh yeah, that dried out quite nice in there. So that was quite nice turning on that bit which has dried out. But we'll get in there.
I'll get the other bucket on and then get in the back of the uh sheds and then just fork the rest out by hand. And that'll be that bit done. But now breakfast time is calling. See you all in a bit.
So we're just back at it again. Um, won't be long before it'll be dinner time. I'm just going to show you this.
Look how warm it is. So, 33°.
34°. Just gone up there.
That's warm on the day. I've been shoveling around the edges.
Try to focus. No. Anyway, I've been shoveling around the edges of the buildings so they dry out a bit.
There. Certainly the warm one. Right.
Let's get this in the trailer and then we'll do some more. get some shoveling done and then uh actually looking forward to uh dinner time of day to be honest. Have a nice drink, cool down a bit. So, we're just about finished in the yard. Um that is the last load. We just sort of cleaned all that around the edges. Just put that last bit on and um that'll be that job done. Head on to the next.
Right, get that in the trailer.
That's the last one now gone.
Oh, certainly is warm today. That is saying 35 on there.
Right, get the shovel and the uh fog and that'll be nearly dinner time. Just looking at the temperature 35. It just be interesting to see if there's actually any cooler um out of this yard cuz we're all enclosed in here. But yeah, we'll have a look when we get out and see if it is. But I mean this farmyard is so facing. So um it does trap the heat in that it does. Right, let's go and have a look and get through here.
Have a look.
So it is actually just 34°. So not a lot different. But anyway, we got a lorry just coming up to dinner. So I'm going to get this um bucker changed uh the big one on and I'll be ready to load that.
So that is load of wheat from the other farm.
So, we just had our dinner now. Going to uh bucket full ready to load this lorry.
So, we're down at the other farm. Can you believe that? It's even 35° in this shed.
Right, we'll get outside and lined up ready and then we'll get them loaded.
There we are. Right. See where he's got to. Okay, the l's here. Something's a bit different today, I guess. And normally just line them along the concrete, but there we go. So, there it is on our open fields. Let's get him loaded. So, we just got that lorry loaded. See, it's all loaded.
So, he's just going to reverse up now so we can get around.
Anyway, that's another go. Another one gone. Look at that nice trailer.
Load of wheat just gone.
Right.
Is that one loaded? Can you believe that temperature today?
37°. It's warm in here. So, I just shut the door up before we get going back and have a look at this barley. See the airs on the barley. They're actually sort of filling up quite nicely, but obviously in desperate need of a rain that they are, but yeah, they're filling. Look, as they say, there will be a harvest.
Right. So, it's back to the farm. Go and get on with some uh maintenance there.
I've actually got the cousins to wash down quickly and put um them guards and that on. So, we might just get on with that. Yeah, check that out. Look, that has uh cooled down a little bit. So we are 36 then at 37.
So this is just for fun and it is for Gracie. Eyeball Gracie. I'm looking at you John Deere. Look.
And there is the other one.
Look at that. Look. Got to love it.
Ain't you Gracie?
Right. Off we go. Back to the farm.
Certainly is warm.
Really is. Right. There we go. Let's go.
So, we're back at the farm. I just parked this up.
Poor old thing lay over there.
Anyway, I have got some valves for that.
So, um I just put a new valve in that back tower on that. It should be all right and we can get to work on it. Be nice. I'm just going to get the uh crawler started up this afternoon. I'm going to get that carrier dropped off and then the cousins put on and then give that a bit of a wash. So, there is the old 95E. She hasn't been started for a little while, but we'll get in here and get it going. As I say, get it roared up. She'll be away.
It's warm in here. That is right. Let's see if she'll go.
She's away.
Definitely no cold start today that they're in.
Right. So, we just got that unhooked. Go and get the uh cousins on and then we'll sort that out. So, we'll just get the cousins on now. We'll hook the pipes up and we'll be away and get that washed down and smartened up.
Right. So, we got pipes on. Just going to give this a bit of a wash down. See how she really does need it. Um didn't have time when I finished um when we was using it. So, anyway, pipes are on.
Let's go. So, we got the cousins on.
We'll go and give it a wash.
It's 30 odd degrees.
Dang. Radley on his ice cream. We'll get that unfolded.
We are Bradley's driving the draw.
He's allowed in there.
You are loading.
>> Oh, look. Bradley's having a pee. Are you having a wee wee?
Oh, well, that's a quick rinse out.
Spray is done with.
I'm going to get this unfolded and get washed down. Okay, just got back in the car. And it's actually quite nice in there with the air con running.
There it is. So, we'll just get that unfolded.
Give that a good wash down. It's been a while since we used the old thing, but uh yeah, that needs all washing down.
Going to put them plates on. So, we'll get on with that. And it is so warm today. It's sort of 30° heat. What else do you do in that sort of weather?
So yeah, it won't take a lot of washing that it won't. It's just all that dust really. It's not muddy at all. But anyway, we'll get it washed.
We're just getting stuck in washing this down. Found a load of string in there.
Anyway, I'll get this washed down.
Now one thing it's getting pretty warm out here. It is we nearly got it all washed.
Our cousins precision seed bed error.
Got this uh new early part of the year.
Good bit of kit. That is really good bit of kit. So we're just about finished washing it down. I just need to do this other side and then uh we're all good. I want to put them um deflector plates on the front as well. There's some points to change along the front cuz we got them tungsten ones to go on. So uh we'll get on with that as well. Yeah. So the story behind this is we used to borrow one of these machines just every year um to do some spring work and um we had one of those uh cockalins the allrounders and um we traded that in or sold it privately to a farm and then the money we got from that funded this. So uh you know we've actually got our own now so that's that's quite good. Now, we just added a few little extras on it, which was the uh the draw bar, so we can change the uh the ball there if we need to. Um so, go on a tractor or on the crawler. Um and like I say, as well, we've also got those plates to put on the sides here, but um yeah, we'll we'll get on with that. Um well, it will be tomorrow. So, there we are. That's all washed down. I'll just give the uh crawler a bit of a flick over as well today. had all that dust on it from uh when we was loading that barley out. So, that's all had a bit of a flick over.
That look better.
Yeah. The thing is 26 years old. So, I do try and look after it best I can.
Good old girl.
The old cousins are all washed.
So, we'll just get this bag in the shed.
I think that's uh temperature's fairly warm and call it a day.
Um, I might just have a half hour look at the tractor, the Massie. I don't know whether we'll do that or not.
Right, so that's back in the shed. Just going to stay here now till tomorrow.
Um, it's far too hot. Just going to go and get ourselves a drink now. It's just Yeah, I'm feeling a bit dehydrated actually. But anyway, so we're going to get a drink and we'll see you in a bit.
So before we go home, we're just going to have a little look at the tractor.
I've just Oh, that's pushed in as well.
Look at that.
>> Tried to tell you that. What's that done that for?
>> That really has pushed it in, hasn't it?
>> On earth has it done that for? Yes.
We're a bit hot and bothered, aren't we, mate? A >> little bit.
>> No. It's probably not one of my best ideas, is it?
>> No.
>> No.
>> You do look a bit white compared to me, don't you?
>> Well, you live in the sun. I don't.
It's very polite, mate. That was very polite.
>> I could say a lot of other things, but I'm not going to.
>> No, no, of course.
>> We'll keep it that way.
>> Anyway, we're just going to have a bit of a set two of the tractor. So, we're just going to jack it up. That puncher.
I have got some valves ordered, but that's a complete valve, which I have to um you can see that there complete valve, which I've got to get for it. So, uh there there are some valves coming on Wednesday. So hopefully at the end of the week I'll get a new valve in. And uh Bradley's been very kind to give me a hand. So that's very good. Um >> only one >> only one.
>> Anyway, we're going to take the uh rocker cover off and have a look in there. So um if if you see me howling in the next 5 minutes, you know why.
>> I'll give a Don't worry.
>> See you in a bit. My point he says >> we have just got the air filter housing off or what's left of it. It's very rusty isn't it Bradley?
>> Fine.
>> Nothing a bit of chewing gum won't sort out bit wax on wax off.
>> Just going to try and get this um >> Did you film that?
>> Yeah, of course. Did >> Yeah, you're all right. No worries. I'm just going to try and get this rocker cover off and then uh Yeah, you might see me howling.
>> Yep.
>> At least I know what I am, don't I?
>> Yeah, of course I am.
Yeah, cuz I am. Right. Let's get that one undone. That didn't take a lot of undone at all.
Okay. Right. I'm going to do the other two and then we'll see what we got.
>> Are you recording?
>> Yeah.
>> Are you bored?
>> There you go.
>> We're just getting a bit of a bird's eye view here.
>> We are.
>> What's going on? They seem to be coming under. Ah, >> they were.
>> They were coming under relatively easy.
>> This is the one looks really rustic.
>> There's always one, isn't there?
>> There you go. There's a strong man.
>> Yeah.
>> How do you get that sheen on your skin?
What's that natural uh odor?
That's cuz I haven't washed.
>> No.
>> For five weeks.
>> Five minutes should be about right.
>> Five weeks. Did you know that?
>> Yeah. Well, there you go. That's why we call you stain.
>> Stain.
>> Yeah. That was cold yesterday.
Getting burnt. Oh, look. That's different.
>> That's old, isn't it? Oh, hold it. Hold it still so I can zoom in on it for your tubes. Yeah.
>> Hang on. There you go. Look at that, guys.
Bolt.
So, this is the big reveal.
Are you ready?
>> I'm ready.
>> So, that's the last two nuts which are off.
>> I hope you're all sitting down.
>> No. Are we going to find something missing?
>> No.
>> We have not looked in here yet.
>> No.
>> I don't even know what we're going to find. I'm hoping that everything's going to be the >> Oh, we just see it. Look, you're just teasing us with it. The gasket is stuck that side. Right. There we go.
Got the gasket. What have we got? Is it all in?
>> It's a little bit white. Bit Bailey's in there. However, >> all in all, that looks pretty good.
>> Looking there. Look.
>> Oh, nothing a pressure washer won't sort out though.
>> Bit snotty bit.
>> What have you been doing, brother?
Okay, >> cool.
So, overall, not too bad.
>> So, I need to get a um firing order sorted out >> to find out which one's which one's um on compression and which one's not.
>> So, um >> but all the while you're quite happy with the condition.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Nothing's loose. Nothing's, you know, obviously that one is loose because it's they they will be one will be tight and one will be loose. So that's how it'll work.
>> Obviously if you're at BDC or TDC.
>> Yeah. Top dead center and all that.
>> That's it. Well done.
>> There's no springs broken though. I mean I feel the springs. They all they all feel pretty good. So I mean it ran, didn't it?
>> It runs fine, doesn't it?
>> It did. It did run. So >> happy days mate. Ah, well, >> something went right for you for once.
>> How's it gone right when we were doing this?
>> It's all right.
>> There is the top of the engine. As you can see, there are the rocker arms.
Nothing's broken that we found yet. We'll put it that way. Let me just get this torch and we'll look at the back there.
So, yeah, just looks to be all right. I know there's water in there, but you got to look past that. So, >> you've been looking past it for weeks.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
But that don't look like anybody's been in here and sort of tampered with it.
That's what I'm getting at cuz hopefully that'll be okay.
We live in hope, don't we, mate?
>> Well, it's relatively clean, isn't it?
Yeah.
>> Yeah. I'll get that cleaned out anyway.
That'll be these two there.
Where is it?
Those two. I don't know if you can see, but yeah.
So, it's that time again. Time at go home. So, I had Radley helped me today just to do a bit of the tractor as well.
Well, I say today, this evening about an hour. So, that was pretty good. So, thanks.
>> What spend, isn't it?
>> Yeah, it is. It's so hot, isn't it? But anyway, thanks for that, Bradley. Really appreciate that. Yeah, it's really good of you to give me a hand. Appreciate it, mate. But yeah, so we've been busy muck carton um clearing out and washing down.
Bradley's been um emptying the spray, ain't you, mate? So um yeah, that's all all in the day. It's been really hot. So hope you enjoy the video. I hope you join us um tomorrow. So from me and Bradley, we'll see you all again.
Bye-bye.
>> Bye.
>> Are we the wor?
>> Anyway, yeah, I just forgot one thing. I must just add this. So Radley's been very good. uh done some uh content today when I've been loading and that. So, just wanted to say thanks for that. And also he's filming tonight. So, thank you, buddy.
>> No worries. Cheers, >> buddy.
