[00:01:13]And not only is it uh Memorial Day for Memorial Day things, it's also the official start of summer.

[00:01:29]It's been feeling like uh summer in the North Florida area for quite a while now.

[00:01:39]Consistently in the upper 90s, very humid.

[00:01:49]Luckily, we're finally getting some much needed rain.

[00:01:55]My signal is weak as it tends to be on this iPhone 15.

[00:02:08]It's a beautiful day.

[00:02:21]I can feel the heat coming in. It's starting to cut away the cool morning air.

[00:02:34]So, doing our normal Monday regimen exercise.

[00:02:45]Actually start my morning runs in the dark these days cuz I get going a little bit earlier than I'm used to or than I used to.

[00:04:12]So, long Memorial Day weekend was extra nice except for still fighting the post crud with a cough.

[00:04:34]Well, we got to property mode and on the fence whether or not I'm going to feel like going down to the range to do a little shooting today.

[00:04:51]My dog was cooped up all day with the rain, so he needs some exercise. And so did I.

[00:05:01]rather uneventful week when weekend otherwise. We opened up the pool.

[00:05:07]It's proper Memorial Day fashion being the start of summer. So, that's the first time I've been in the pool since we got that new pool liner.

[00:05:15]We had to drop $10,000 on.

[00:05:26]But I'll be back to the grind tomorrow to work. And I got to get ready to go down to the state nuclear lab for some actual training here in a couple of weeks.

[00:09:03]Somebody wasn't doing their job properly. Mom was mad at him, which I think it was just a misinterpretation of his actions. But we had another unfortunate attack the other day. And we think a bobcat, some sort of fe feline animal.

[00:09:25]Uh, she seen him going off into the forest, but something took Adulo, our beautiful main rooster, who actually did his job better than any other of the roosters we've ever had.

[00:09:40]And he's been our main guy for well over a year.

[00:09:46]And he was out doing his job. And you can see the trail. It's like predator.

[00:09:52]Like there's like a pile of feathers and you can see something drug a trail of something being drug feathers that eventually when it gets to the tree line actually the property line turned into blood and feathers.

[00:10:13]Adula was fighting to the end but he was no match for that cat or whatever it was.

[00:10:20]So apparently the word's out it's open season.

[00:10:26]The homestead's providing readymade lunchables apparently. So mama was out there all day yesterday with some help from the clan cuz I was just kind of spent out after a day mowing. Got up early and mowed yesterday which you know is like the multi-art work ordeal to include having to get the walk mower out from inside the pool area. But I digress.

[00:11:02]Adulo's gone. So the problem is the tree fell on the chicken coop, so we can't get him properly housed.

[00:11:11]So, probably well over eight hours solid work putting the structure back together, putting on a lattice for new steel roof, which only half got put up. So, it's still tarped and open.

[00:11:41]I'm not going to lie, that sun hits a little different after 8:00.

[00:15:48]Both the daughter and I seemed like uh we had one of those like bounceback regression type things where we felt better for a couple of days and then it seemed to digress or excuse me degrade back down a level.

[00:16:06]So, I actually laid down for a little bit yesterday, which I almost never do on a Sunday, but we got so much leftovers of all the food.

[00:16:22]Went for a hybrid roast beef slash brisket recipe for the Sabbath.

[00:16:33]And mama was so busy with work.

[00:16:37]And normally we make homemade chala that I bought store. I bought Publix chala. It was actually pretty good.

[00:16:49]So see it was three or four pounds of that beef that we ate on that Friday night. And then last night we got all kinds of leftover and uh kosher hot dogs from opening up the pool night.

[00:17:15]Monday's pizza night. So just food, food, food. But life is good.

[00:17:27]I'll be back to grind tomorrow. So, and I have my three year Filipino martial arts test coming up next Saturday night.

[00:17:42]Three whole years to get a green belt.

[00:17:46]We got a couple of folks testing to get white belts. Like in karate, the white belt comes with a uniform. like he started off wearing it in Filipino martial arts in this school by definition in the book there's six and one year white belts and I never did a white belt test I just went straight to the blue belt which was a two-year test which was a year oh man it was like last March 25 So, so I got to be competent with my spear slash or work two-handed staff staff work. I rather my staff come for me.

[00:24:45]Uh I know some people that uh like are still you know in service and the perspective depending on you know their perspective what they do in service. It's kind of interesting right now because a lot of people's algorithms have shifted over the last six months.

[00:28:51]So, mom was talking about recycling some of the organs for the dog food, which I wish we would have been doing from the beginning.

[00:29:08]But it's just it gets so long in the day and you get the the birds processed and when we done with it, but you live and you learn. And man, mama is like a machine with the bird processing.
