[00:00:00]Eric, all I am is myself. I'm just being authentic. And I'm unapologetic about what Americans want me to be unapologetic about. We want our politicians to stand up for God and Jesus Christ. We want our politicians to stand up for families and the family values that built this country. We want our politicians to stand up for freedom.

[00:00:21]We want our politicians to stand up for the Constitution. You know, I'm listening to your last ad, Al Capone would be jealous of the tactics of the IRS for for collecting money and how they they garnish and inch put interest on you, astronomical interest rates that nobody else can charge. These are the kind of things that Americans are fed up with and they want a patriot to go back to Washington D.C. to fight for them.

[00:00:45]And I hope to not only knock down all these government regulations, but hopefully we can knock down the IRS, too, because they're out of control.

[00:00:53]I know this for a fact, you say I mean you've said this and I agree with you wholeheartedly, we have a bunch of great sheriffs in the state of Florida. But you say local sheriffs remain one of the last lines of defense for the American people. Please explain.

[00:01:06]Well, we're elected by the people. This is a very unique position. We don't work for the mayor, we don't work for the governor, we don't even work for the for the commissioners or the supervisors or whatever you call them in your county.

[00:01:17]We work directly for the people. And you know, I used to always you know, criticize the government and people would say, "Well, Sheriff, you're the government." I said, "No, no, no, no, no. I'm your county sheriff. My job is to protect you from the bad people and to protect you from government overreach." And what we saw in during COVID is a perfect example. It was many of the sheriffs who stood up like myself and said, "No, we're not going to do that. That's a violation of people's rights. It's a constitutional violation." And we need those sheriffs to fill that gap now more than ever. And frankly, we need them to transcend beyond it. Look, running for Congress wasn't necessarily what I wanted to do, Eric, but what we need are people that are trained and experienced in restoring balance and order to chaos, and that is what we do in this profession. We respond to calls where things that everything is off the tra- the tracks, and our job is to get it back on track, uphold the law, and do what is right.

[00:02:10]And I think that's why we need more sheriffs in Washington, D.C.
