This video is a clear but uninspired recitation of basic algebra that adds nothing new to the existing educational landscape. It treats mechanical procedures as profound insights, offering only what a standard textbook has provided for decades.

Have you ever seen an equation like this and you felt confused? Don't worry.
Today I am going to show you steps how you can solve this equation step by step even if you are just starting out. So we start with this question one. Question one says 3x + 5 = 20.
So in this kind of equation you are going to connect like terms together and in this one we have three bearing x and we have 5 and 20 you're not getting any x so 5 and 20 will be on one side so we have 3 x = 20 - 5 it is - 5 because this plus sign is crossing this equality sign it will change to minus if it This minus here as it is crossing this equality sign it will change to plus that's why we have 3x = 20 - 5. Now we subtract you have 3x = 15. You divide both sides by 3.
We have 3x over 3 = 15 / 3. you cancel out so that you have x = 5 15 is 5.
Now to the second question we have x² - 5x + 6 = 0. So in this type of equation we are going to look for two numbers that their product will give you + 6 and their sum will give you -5 and those two numbers are -2 and -3.
Find two numbers that the product will give you.
We give you plus six and the song will give you - 5 and these two numbers are -2 and - 3. So we put these two numbers into the equation. We have x² - 2x + - 3 = 0. So we have x - 2 + 3 = 0.
So So we have x = 2 or x into bracket x - 2 = 0 and x - 3 = 0. So we find for x here that is to show that x - 2 = 0 x= 2 plus minus sign crossing will change to two. So for this second one x - 3 = 0. So 3 - 3 crossing will be + 3 x = 3.
Therefore, x = 2 or 3.
Now, we go over to the third question.
The third question, which is x / 2 + 3 = 7. In this question, now we are going to subtract three from both side.
Subtract from both sides.
So we have x / 2 + 3 - 3 = 7 - 3 here + 3 - 3 will give you 0. So we have x / 2 = 7 - 3 will give you 4. = to 4. Now we multiply both sides by two. Multiply both sides by 2. So you have x / 2 * 2 = 4 * 2. You have 2 x / 2 = 8. then it will cancel out this answer to give you x = 8 which is our final answer. Now we go over to question we go over to question 4 which is 2x² = 18. In this one we are going to cancel out this because 2ide 18 to give you 9.
So you divide both side divide both sides by 2. You have 2 x 2 / 2 = 18 / 2. You cancel out. You have x² = 9. Then square both side. Square both sides.
You have roo<unk> of x² = roo<unk> of 9. So this square will cancel out this root so that we have x = this square root of 9 will give you 3. So we have that x = + or minus 3.
Now to the last question on our list which is question number five.
Question five which is 4x - 7 = 2x + 5.
In this equation you can see that x is appearing two times from different sides. So we are going to collect like terms together. Collect like terms together.
So we have 4x - 2x = 5 + 7. Remember when the sign is crossing equality sign it will change. So we have 4x - 2x will give you 2x = 5 + 7 give you 12. So we have 12 here. Then you divide both side divide both sides by 2. We have 2x / 2 = 12 / 2. you cancel out. So I have x = 12 / 2 will give you 6 which is our final answer.
