[00:00:03]If your point is solid, you shouldn't need a crowd to hold it up.

[00:00:07]There's a difference between seeking wisdom and chasing validation.

[00:00:11]Seeking wisdom sounds like, "Help me see this clearly."

[00:00:15]Chasing validation sounds like, "Let me tell you my side until enough people agree with me."

[00:00:21]And that's where people lose the plot.

[00:00:23]Instead of going back to the person they actually have the issue with, they start outsourcing the conversation.

[00:00:29]Calling this one, texting that one, explaining their side over and over until they feel supported enough to avoid the real conversation.

[00:00:37]But support doesn't equal resolution.

[00:00:39]A group of people agreeing with your version doesn't mean the issue is handled.

[00:00:44]It just means you found people who only heard the part you wanted them to hear.

[00:00:48]And sometimes, the more people you have to convince, the weaker your point starts to look.

[00:00:54]Because if the truth was clear enough to stand on, why does it need so many witnesses who weren't even there?

[00:01:00]Handle the issue with the person involved.

[00:01:03]Say what needs to be said.

[00:01:06]Listen where you need to listen.

[00:01:08]Own what needs to be owned.

[00:01:10]And work towards a resolution if one can be reached.

[00:01:13]Because when you keep running to everybody except the person you actually have the issue with, you're not fixing the problem.

[00:01:20]You're building an audience for it.

[00:01:23]Validation may make you feel right for a moment, but a resolution is what actually brings the matter to a close.
