[00:00:09]The way in which we dance, the way in which we walk, the walk in the '70s that many people thought was an an Afrocentric expression in actuality was a long-haired Cherokee warrior walk.

[00:00:22]Uh the hip-like walk that is a is expressed [music] as being Afrocentric was not Afrocentric at all.

[00:00:28]A warrior walked and he walked with [music] a limp and and his shoulder would dip as he walked. Now, [music] that type of walk is not uh the only way in which you have seen that that uh cultural expression [music] is in America and by those who call themselves African-American.
