[00:00:00]does AAPI month mean to you? AAPI month means to me celebrating the past and the present, and I think working in sports specifically, we're underrepresented, so I think just me working in sports along with my colleagues is a representation for the next generation to come.

[00:00:13]Celebration of the strength of my culture and the community that shaped me into the person that I am today. Time and place to celebrate all the things that makes us unique and different, and a place to celebrate everyone around you. Celebrate my culture root and heritage, and also to show up for other AAPI community. Remembering the culture and the history that came before me and all that it took to get to where we are today as a society. It also means carrying myself with grace and remembering to keep the cultures and traditions alive. AAPI month to me means giving thanks to our people, our aina, our land, and just our community for all the hard work that we put into give opportunities for our AAPI community here in Portland.
