[00:00:16]Now this fresh update is coming from Tamil Nadu after four AIADMK MLAs joined TVK. Now two senior ADMK MLAs CV Shanmugam and C. Vijayabaskar are exploring resigning from AIADMK and joining TVK.

[00:00:32]Senior leader of TVK Minister Adhavarjun yesterday claimed that 90% of the AIADMK leaders are ready to join TVK. This was a big statement that Adhavarjun made yesterday. Remember he's a minister in the Chief Minister Vijay's government. He's a very close confidant of Chief Minister and he's making this statement that around 90% of the ADMK leaders are in touch with the TVK and that ready to join TVK. Let's listen in to the this reaction of Adhavarjun.

[00:01:39]Poornima, very good morning to you and welcome to the broadcast. We are hearing of reports that senior AIADMK MLAs like Shanmugam and Vijayabaskar are now willing to make a switch to TVK. We wish to understand what exactly is TVK currently offering them. Any cabinet births or any organizational role?

[00:02:03]>> Well, in fact, before before the final list of cabinet was out, yes, there were speculations that the rebel faction headed by C. V. Shanmugam may perhaps join the TVK and get cabinet berths, but that did not happen because the smaller allies did not want the ADMK to be part of the government. So, now after the cabinet list was out, after they ruled out the possibility of any sort of promises on cabinet berths for the rebel ADMK faction, we've seen some of them go back to the Edappadi camp. And now what we've seen over the last 1 week, four AIA DMK MLAs uh, submit the speaker, submitted their resignation and officially joined the TVK. And now there are two leaders, senior leaders, former ministers of the ADMK, C. V. Shanmugam, who was heading the rebel faction, and C. Vijayabaskar, the former health minister of Tamil Nadu, both of them still mulling the possibility of joining the TVK, resigning as MLAs and joining the TVK. Both of them have gone back to their constituencies. On the record, they say that they are getting opinion of the party carder, the the public there in their constituency on what they want their MLAs to do, whether to continue with the ADMK or explore the possibility of resigning as MLAs and joining the TVK.

[00:03:23]So far, five seats, including Trichy remain vacant. All eyes on what these two senior leaders and former ministers decide, but they are mulling the possibility of resigning as MLAs and joining TVK, just like the other four MLAs did. All eyes on that, but the next 2 days will be crucial over what their next move would be.

[00:03:43]>> And Poornima, the decision of these two senior AIA DMK MLAs, of course, there's another faction which is being led by Shanmugam and Velumani is going to really set the trend for those MLAs also who are with them that in future probably you will see those people are also making their way into TVK.

[00:04:10]>> Well, if you look at what the TVK leader and Tamil Nadu sports minister Adhav Arjun said, he said that 90% of the ADMK carder they have decided to join TVK.

[00:04:23]They said he says each and every ADMK carder they want to join TVK and this is the mood of the majority of the ADMK carder. And interestingly the statement comes at a time when the rebel factions, most of them including SP Velumani did meet Edappadi Palaniswami. Both the factions decided to withdraw their petitions submitted before the speaker. The speaker likely to meet the press today to brief on the current situation.

[00:04:50]However, we'll have to wait and see how many MLAs join the TVK. So far four and two other senior leaders are still mulling the possibility. They are exploring the possibility of joining TVK. We'll have to wait and see how this pans out and whether more MLAs ADMK MLAs will join suit. But for the moment four of them have already joined the TVK after resigning as MLAs and now two more senior leaders are mulling that possibility. In the coming week there'll be more clarity on whether more people will in fact take the same decision that the other four ADMK MLAs did.
